    Suction Cleaners

    1. 1 decade ago
My Krepy Krawly kept getting stuck on my main drain but after installing this product It has never, I mean never, gotten stuck even once. I wish I had bought one years before. It's worth every penny you pay. After I ordered, The "In The Swim" company delivered it very, very quickly. It's almost like they had a store next door to me.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM FOR AQUABOT
if you have an AQUABOT, this cover is a must....the aquabot glides right over the top, with no more getting stuck on the drain...might not work well with other cleaners, but for AQUABOT owners, it's a must!!!!

      Real Problem Solver
The Polaris Unicover really does what it says! The pool cleaner is able to work without getting caught on the bottom drain cover. It takes the worry out of cleaning the pool.

      Great addition
I heard about this product from my son's neighbor and felt the price plus rebate was such a great deal that I should give it a try. I'd been thinking of getting an automatic cleaner for a couple of years, but the $1500 to $2000 figure given me by my local pool shop was unreasonable in my mind. I have been overwhelmed with the ability of this product to clean not only the floor, but the walls also in such a short period of time. I do recommend purchasing the skimmer basket attachment as it is ... read more absolutely necessary for catching the few leaves, pinestraw and other items that accumulate occasionally.

      Skeptical
I am wondering how long the average unit lasts. We purchased May 2008 and this year, it quit working. We have avg sized pool and take very good care of the unit (don't use it during winter, dismantle hose and store well). Very disappointed that it quit working at the end of this season (4th season). Disappointed that the replacement part needed is $ 289!! But, in defense this is the story on most repairs these days. Our KK kept our pool sparkling clean but got stuck on the ladder repeatedly. ... read more When we installed the leaf canister, it completely took care of this issue. $100 per year is not bad to spend considering the time saved by having the pool cleaned for us, but I like things to last longer than this. I will research other brands prior to replacing.

The ONLY pool vac I'll ever buy
When I bought my home with an existing pool 20 years ago, it came with a Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner. After more than 15 years of use, the Kreepy needed to be replaced. I fought with hubby to purchase a new Kreepy, but his heart was set on a robotic cleaner that cost more than twice what a Kreepy cost. I was never happy with the robotic cleaner's performance - it never cleaned as well as my Kreepy. After the robotic's third breakdown in 3 years, I finally convinced hubby to go back to Kreepy ... read more Krauly. We are both tickled at how well this cleaner operates...and the rebate made the deal sweeter!

I have not opened my pool yet this year but I am confident my new pool vac will work fine. It will be the 3rd or 4th one I have had over the years.

Beats using a manual vacuum cleaner!
I gave it a three star because it works great on my sisters pool but in my pool it goes slow. She has a chlorine? pool rectangle shape, mine is salt and a t-shape.

      A very clever, easy-to-use design
My husband and I have been wanting an automatic pool cleaner for years, but couldn't afford the high cost of the 'Polaris" and similar electric-powered cleaners. Allan's brother told us about this one and we ordered it right away. It's absolutely great! Rather than having an electric motor to worry about, this unit plugs right into the skimmer like a manual vacuum and is hydraulically powered by the water moving through. It also has relatively few moving parts and all are fairly easily ... read more accessible. For our 20' x 40' pool, it takes move like 3.5 to 4 hours to complete a cleaning job, but is worth the wait. There's a single door in the back of the unit that one opens to clean out fhe innards - takes only seconds. I wish, though, that the door had a locking mechanism that did not require a screwdriver (Phillips at that), because we don't normally keep a toolkit in the pool area -- but this is a very minor complaint about an otherwise excellent product.

      Great, Great, Great!!!
I have been using this automatic cleaner for about 15 years. I am on my second cleaner, and I have had it for 10 years. When I open my pool I just put it in and it does all the hard work for me. I would recommend this to anyone. If mine quits working I will just buy an other one. I wouldn't even consider buying a different brand. I love it!!! The Kreepy Krauly is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

      Great Buy
This is my second one (I had to replace it after about 12 years). It is a great cleaner, very easy to set up and just let it do its job. The only problem I have with it is that it misses one portion of our above ground pool (because the water return pushes it away). Obviously this isn't a huge problem since I did replace our old one.

      Good investment
I am very happy to have purchased this item. We have a lot of trees in our yard and we need to vacuum our 15x30 pool at least 3-4 times a week, even more if we get a storm. With children, work...etc, it's so hard to find the time. This vacuum does all my work for me. Just drop it in and let it go! What a time saver. It was extremely easy to assemble and just as easy to operate. It was getting stuck on our steps at the far end of the pool so I just shortened the hose so that is no longer an issue.

      Just what I needed!!!
Bought replacement pad for my 5 year old kreepy krauly and it works like brand new! Saved money by not having to buy a whole new keep krauly. So glad I was able to purchase just replacement parts!

      Very effective
Watching it work reminds me of a Dyson. No large debris gets past it and into the filter.

      What I Needed
Great product! I only got to use it about 2 times before I had to close the pool, but worked exactly as needed.

    Suction Cleaner Automatic Pool Vacuums

Shop from the most popular suction pool cleaners like the AquaNaut (The Pool Cleaner)Hayward Aqua CritterKreepy Krauly Sand Shark, and the Zodiac MX6 cleaner. Energy efficient suction pool cleaners use the power of your pool pump to vacuum debris and particles into your pool’s filter, and can be directed into specific patterns for customized cleaning.

    Benefits of Suction Pool Cleaners

     1. Lowest cost pool cleaners, starting at less than $100.
     2. Fewer moving parts and wearable parts, for less maintenance and repairs.
     3. No additional cost to operate, runs when your pool filter pump is running.
     4. Available Skim Vac Plates trap leaf debris in the skimmer basket.
     5. Available In-line Leaf Canisters handle large and heavy leaf debris.

How Suction Cleaners Work: Suction pool cleaners connect to your pool skimmer or dedicated vacuum line, and are powered by the suction of water from your pool pump. With models designed to clean in-ground and above ground pools, suction cleaners move about the pool to vacuum walls and floor, bringing the dirt and debris into the pump basket and pool filter for removal.

Suction Cleaner Installation: Suction cleaners assemble in minutes without tools. Simply join the 4' hose sections together to reach the furthest part of the pool. Connect one end of the hose to the cleaner head, and the other into your skimmer or vacuum line. Adjust pump suction valves if needed to pull more water from the cleaner, and start moving the cleaner. A 1 hp pump or greater is recommended to provide enough suction power.

If you have any questions about In The Swim's suction pool cleaners, please contact our pool experts via phone or email, for fast, professional service. Most of our suction cleaners are available with super-fast 1-day shipping and processing.
