    Pool Opening Chemicals

      Excellent product
I have been using this product from in the swim for several years now and have absolutely no complaints! This shock is as good as any other I have ever used. It works great for spring opening ! I only need to use one bag in the spring to open my pool and then one bag approximately every week to maintain crystal clear water! Excellent Shock for the price!

Crystal Clear Over Night! Kills everything!
This shock works great. It dissolves in the water before even hitting the liner of my pool, even in the shallow end. The shock power is intense. I use shock on a regular basis to keep my pool clean, but when I get some cloudiness, or have a lot of people in, I use one to two bags after, and my pool is crystal clear within hours. The next day...you wouldn't even know it's been used.

      7 Way Test Strips
At first glance, you would think that these strips would not dial you in that well on your chemistry. After using them for three years now, I've found that they really do. I rarely go to the pool store for a computer water check anymore. These strips are so quick and easy that I can check my chemistry as often as I like. The vaules to be in shown by the strips have proven to be very accurate. When I keep my pool within the guidelines, I have no problems with the pool.

These are the first ACURATE test stips I've found!
I was skeptical when I purchased the 'AquaChek Select 7 Way Test Strips' but, after using them, I'm so glad I did! I've used other test strips before and their accuracy wasn't that great. They would be okay for say PH, but not accurate for Chlorine, etc. In fact, it got to the point where I would drive to the pool store to have my water tested because I didn't trust the results, and as it turned out, it was a good thing I did. But these strips are accurate every test, every time! And results are ... read more fast, 15 seconds for accurate results. PS - did I mention they are accurate?

      Great Products
I always buy my pool supplies at In the Swim and usually have great service. Last time I ordered I accidentally ordered the wrong test strips and realized this when I printed off my receipt and immediately contacted them to have them send the right ones. I was told the order had already been processed and they couldn't stop it. It had been less than 5 minutes??!! I don't understand how their system works but seems there should be a way to change an order within a set period of time.

good value, don't expect 1 day delivery
Decided to open my pool early and ordered this product friday at 3pm. On saturday morning I got everything going and cleaned the pool thinking my chemicals would arrive that afternoon. I am glad I had liquid chlorine to pour in since my chemicals didn't arrive until tuesday. This kit is a good deal, just leave plenty of time for delivery.

Amazing Pool Start-up with Powerful Chlorine Shock
Every year we purchase In the Swim' s start up kit. Since I was downsizing and planning on selling my home, last summer we did not open our 16x32 pool. I even thought the house would sell quickly so I didn't even put any chemicals in the covered pool. Well, it's finally selling at the end of May and the buyers wanted us to open the pool, start the filter, etc. so they could have the pool and equipment inspected. We opened the pool, water didn't look that bad. We vacuumed, put in chemicals to ... read more get it going... voila... within the days it was Crystal clear and swim-ready! These products always perform as expected, but this time they really went way beyond our expectations!!!

Big box with almost nothing in it
I have no idea why this is so expensive but I opened this big thick plastic box to find four small chemical tubes in it. Should have been $19.95

      Easiest Product To Use
I use the Aquacheck test strips at least once a week (or more if it's rained) for a quick and easy way to check my pool water. When the test strip indicates that I need to adjust pool chemicals, I use the Taylor DPD Test Kit since it gives more accurate readings than the strips. It's easy to use and the directions are right on the box. Plus it gives me peace of mind knowing that my pool's chemicals are exactly at the levels they need to be. And thanks to In The Swim, all my pool products are ... read more brought right to my door. Thanks In The Swim!!

      Great on my skin
I have a fair skin complexion making me highly susceptible to chlorine. I originally thought I could get by with just using this and not using Chlorine in my pool. Nope don’t make that mistake, that was a rookie move I had made many years ago until I found my pool having mustard algae and a huge chlorine demand. Wound up forking out a lot of money to bring my chlorine levels back up to par, but I paid for the lesson. So while you still need chlorine to effectively balance your pool, this is ... read more great for weekly shock treatments and upkeep which is easier on my skin then standard chlorine treatments.

      Fast accting
I used many other pool shock products and was disappointed, some left residue that forced me to vacuum entire pool, then I had to wait for chlorine count to come down -usually 24 hours, when I switched to chlorine free shock I don't have to worry about these issues, this product does what it supposed to do with no "side effects" could enter the clear water in my pool several minutes after application

      No more rashes!
We have had our above ground pool in use for the past 11 years. We were always using cholorine granular on a daily basis. Last year my husband developed a skin rash every time he went in the pool so we had our water tested. Our Cyanunic Acid level was 268ppm. The norm is 30-80ppm. We were advised not to use our pool. When the level of cyanuric acid rises, the “killing power” of the free chlorine residual weakens. At above 50 ppm of cyanuric acid, the time it takes to kill bacteria in the water ... read more is much longer compared to swimming pool water without cyanuric acid. When the level of cyanuric acid builds up, the chlorine becomes increasingly less effective in keeping the water clean and problems such as high bacterial and algae growth can occur. We were advised to drain our pool and start over, which we did. We now only use the Chorine free shock daily and our levels are now in the normal range and our pool is clean. No more rashes! I would have never known that cyanunic acid would have built up in our pool so much over the years and cause bacteria. We definitely recommend using the chlorine free shock and will continue to do so.

      Great stuff!!!
I absolutly love this stuff. Our pool installer came back to check on our pool and was impressed at how pure and clear the water was!!

      Worth the $
I was told to spray this on the water surface. Let the pump circulate for 2 hours and then turn it off for at least 24 hrs. This allows the stuff to drop. Then vac. it out of the pool. It worked! I have used this the past couple of years! If my water will not clear up, I buy it and use it again!

      Worked some..
This product helped, somewhat, but not as well as I had hoped. Part my blame, due to Ph level was way too high. Will try this at another time.

      The Best
this is the best pool shock that i have have found. I use it every year when opening my pool. I have a beat up old mesh cover and my water is usually pretty nasty and this just makes my job so much easier.

      Great Value
This product works perfectly and is exactly the same as you would find in your local pool supply store at 1/2 the cost. I’ve now invested in several chemicals from In The Swim with the same results I’ve always had with Bio Guard. I’ve found that the name just doesn’t matter. It’s just a matter of matching up the chemical makeup in the products offered here and the same results are achieved at a much lower cost.

      Love this Stuff!
I am still just a few years into owning an above ground pool. The first year was a disaster. The second was not a huge improvement. It was expensive, burdensome, frustrating and stressful. I was at the local pool store several times a week One day I ordered shock from In The Swim. I was hooked. It is August and my water has been sparkling clear all summer. All of my chemicals come from here. I get compliments on my clean water all the time. Best of all I enjoy the pool. I can finally say I am ... read more happy that I bought a home with a pool. I highly recommend their chemicals. As a bonus you will save tons of money.

      Great Clarifier
Usually I can get my pool crystal clear after opening in the spring, but this year it showed all the correct chemical levels but the cloudiness was still there. I backwashed, I re-cleaned the sand filter, I used the clarifier from the pool shop where I usually go, I tried using more of it, etc., It helped a little, but not to my satisfaction. All they could suggest was to change out the sand in the filter. Well, I didn't want to go through all that, so I looked online and read reviews of all ... read more the clarifiers. Ultra Clear sounded like it might work. I have an above ground oval pool with a deep end and one of the reviewers said they used a whole bottle of Ultra Clear. I backwashed again to get all residue out and used 10 oz. Ultra Clear. In about two days my pool was crystal clear and sparkling like it should and you could see every speck of dirt on the bottom! It worked, thank goodness.
