      Best Algaecide on the market
We have used this product for at least 8 years straight now and no other product works as efficiently as this. It is costly but no other products are needed as others that need an additional product to eliminate the foam.

Cleared the pool. when algae 60 failed.
Bought this after alge 60 failed to change my pool. Turned a white cloudy left on vacation for a week and came back to s clear pool

      It works well!
Have used this in the past and it works well enough to purchase again. It devastates any returning black algae. I had it speckled all over when I went to open my pool 2 years ago. Nothing worked till this. I did scrub all over once I put it in the first time. The algae let go and was swept up and away.

      Keep fighting it
Black algae is a scourge of old pools. It gets in the gunnite and there is basically nothing you can do. You just have to keep pouring in the chemicals and watching your pool laugh at you. I am here to tell you no black algeacide works to eradicate. They all work to help control. Some are a little better than others. This one is fine. I have not seen a big difference in the super expensive black algaecides that are sold. It's all about how much active product is in the bottle. If you have black ... read more algae in your pool, my sympathies, just learn to live with it and be so happy on those days when your water looks clear and sparkling and you beging to kid yourself that it's over. It's not. Keep a bottle of algaecide close at hand at all times. Good luck!

      Seems to work
Due to lots of rain and water temperatures around 95, we were getting heavy algae requiring frequent cleaning and diatomaceous filter changes. After through cleaning and shocking I used the recommended amount of algaecide and after 10 days no algae or filter changes. HOWEVER, the water is no longer crystal clear; it has a yellowish tint.

      Finally!!!
I used this in combination with the Algaecide 60 plus & had wonderful results! We have been combatting algae all summer & the pool stores were out of solutions! I put this & the Algaecide 60 in and within one day had a beautiful sparkly pool. It did cause a massive need for chlorine all of a sudden. We usually check our combined chlorine levels as well as free chlorine & our tests indicated that we needed chlorine levels of around 50 to burn everything out! After a ton of shock, we finally ... read more started seeing some free chlorine coming back! Also, our ph dropped at some point, so be prepared with some bicarb :-) However, all of our levels are back to normal & our pool is beautiful!

      Finaly something that works
We (or a friend) brought mustard algae from the lake. I spent hundreds of dollars on other chemicals in the past 3 years to get reed of the algae but it kept coming back a couple times per year, especially when we forgot to run the Polaris for a week. I tried every algaecide I could find in the stores and pool supplies companies. That's when I sent an email to ask what product would work best for my well water, salt system inground vinyl pool. Yellow out is just fantastic, It killed mustard ... read more algae overnight like nothing I tried before, with less than 2 pounds of it! Hopefully it is gone for good! Untill somebody brings some from the lake again. Tip: Make sure you ask anybody ready to swim in your pool if they used their bathing suit in a pond, lake, river, sea etc... and if they washed their suit since. That's how we ended up with mustard algae in the first place. Great product, Thanks.

      Really works on yellow algae!
I have a 22,000 gallon pool, and my pool man told me to use 8 pounds of Yellow Out. I had been fighting my green pool for almost three weeks, adding hundreds of dollars of chemicals and running the pool continuously. Then, I added the Yellow Out by scoops, following each scoop with a scoop of chlorine. The next morning my pool was blue. I still needed to add clarifier to eliminate a little cloudiness, but what a relief!

      Winterizing Wonders
Third year now that I have used the In The Swim winterizing package for my in-ground pool. Works like a charm and saves the cost of hiring someone to do it for me. This spring, the water needed less attention than prior seasons due to addition of floating clorinator included in the package. Thanks for making opening easier but my former pool guy misses the business. Maybe he'll pay you not to sell your products ??

      Does exactly what it says!!
Bought this product while looking to buy a pool cover. My pool looked like a green swamp after a long period of rain and warm weather. Needless to say that I'm a firm believer in the saying that anything to good to be true usually is. All I have to say is WOW!! This stuff is fantastic. Poured the product around the edge of the pool and in 2 days water was crystal clear. No scrubbing needed.Worked so well I immediately ordered another container! Get this, you won't be disappointed!!

      Seems to work
We were having trouble cleaning up our pool after a too-late spring opening. We tried a Green to Clean treatment, and the pool cleared up much more quickly. How much of this is due to the product, and how much to the associated shock treatment is hard to say, but if I ever find myself in the same predicament, I'll use the product again.

      Worked like a charm
This spring the kids took the winter cover off without my help and got the filthy sludge from the cover in the pool, by the time I got it filled back up and everything back together a few days later we had a nice green mess in the pool, I knew it would take a fortune worth of chemicals to get it back, I even contemplated draining the whole pool and starting from scratch, but I saw this product and figured it was cheap enough to try. the next morning after putting it in the pool was cloudy and ... read more blue, a little claifier and a day or 2 later we were back in business. Worked great for me.

      AMAZING!!!!
This product is amazing! We lived with a murky pool all last summer, and the pool store was telling us everything was fine. This year our pool was green when we opened it and after spending at least $400 on products from our local stores (yes, we used 2 different stores) we still had a murky pool that wouldn't stay balanced, and "silt" was constantly appearring. We were told we must need to replace our sand or our filter. We then ordered No Mor Problems and watched our pool fix itself before our ... read more eyes! Within 3 days we had a beautiful pool! Two months later, our water clarity is still brilliant! All we do is treat with this product weekly and add chlorine tabs. No more copper algeacide, super blue, shock! Give it a try!!! It's well worth it!!!

Great fixer for major algae problems
Pool has been having major algae problems and has been cloudy. No matter how much algaecide, chlorine, and clarifier I use the pool is still cloudy and not sparkling blue. One application of this immediately fix the issue the next day. I only need to use this twice a year duting the summer season with bi-weekly shocking of the pool and had no more problems as the name implies.

      BEST pool product hands-down!
I started using No Mor Problems a few years ago and I'm telling you, it really is THE BEST pool product you can use for keeping your pool clear the entire season! I used to take trip after trip to the pool store to have my water checked because I couldn't get my pool levels right. Since using No Mor Problems I haven't had my water checked one time! It is sold as an algaecide, but really it's just the clear pool catalyst. The only thing I ever have to add is shock and soda ash to raise the PH. ... read more Needless to say, it is an aptly named product.

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Pool Algaecides

    In The Swim's Dr. Pool

    Why Use Pool Algaecides?

While lack of proper circulation and out-of-balance water chemistry can lead to the growth of algae in pools, even carefully maintained swimming pools can sometimes experience algae growth. It is important to use an effective treatment as soon as an algae bloom appears in your pool and it's also a good idea to take measures to prevent algae from growing in your pool in the first place.

For killing out of control algae blooms, look to Green to Clean and Yellow Out, natural and non-toxic chlorine enhancers that boost the killing power of chlorine pool shock. Small localized areas of algae can be eradicated with In The Swim Pool Algaecide, Algaecide 50 and Algaecide 60 Plus, and a stiff pool brush. For repeated algae blooms, step up protection with our Super Algaecide, No Mor Problems or Algae Clear for stubborn situations.

    Preventing Pool Algae

    •  1. Well balanced water, with proper pH, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness and Stabilizer levels.
    •  2. Constant and consistent chlorine level of 1-3 ppm, along with regular superchlorination to 10+ ppm.
    •  3. An effective filter; run the pump each day for 12 hours daily, more or less, depending on effectiveness.
    •  4. A clean pool; brush, skim and vacuum to remove organic debris which contributes to algae problems.
    •  5. Monitor levels of phospates in the pool. Use a phosphate remover when levels exceed 300 ppb.

If you do all of that, and still have algae - begin an algaecide treatment with weekly doses of our Pool AlgaecideAlgaecide 50 or Algaecide 60 Plus, to assist your chlorine to combat pool algae. Algaecides accomplish this by eroding the outer protective layers of the organism, allowing chlorine to penetrate into the cells.

    Killing Pool Algae

    •  1. Clean pool of debris with skimming, vacuuming and brushing pool.
    •  2. Adjust Alkalinity to 80-120 ppm, Calcium Hardness to 180+ ppm, pH to 7.2-7.3, and stabilizer to 20-50 ppm.
    •  3. Add Pool Shock per label instructions.
      • - For light green algae with good visibility, add 1-2 lbs of shock per 10,000 gallons.
      • - For medium green pools with visible shallow end floor, add 2-3 lbs shock per 10,000 gallons.
      • - For dark green pools with very poor visibility, use Swamp Treat or Green to Clean with a triple-dose shock.
    •  4. Brush pool and run filter overnight (remove solar blanket covers while chlorine levels are high).
    •  5. In 12 hrs, check pH and chlorine levels. If chlorine has dropped to near zero, repeat treatment.
    •  6. Continue to run filter 24/7, cleaning filter only when filter pressure rises or flow rates decrease.
    •  7. Add a Clarifier after 2-3 days, to assist your filter in removing suspended particles.
    •  8. Add an Algaecide after 4-5 days, adding an initial dosage, followed by regular maintenance doses, per label.
    •  9. Add a Filter Cleaner after 5-7 days, to remove algae particles trapped inside of sand or cartridge pool filters
