The Universal Filtration Pool Separation Tank Bag (STP-0982-01) is a specialized 1-ply debris collection bag designed for use inside D.E. (Diatomaceous Earth) Separation Tanks. These tanks are used during the backwashing process to "separate" the dirty D.E. powder and debris from the water before it is discharged, preventing white sludge from entering the yard, street, or storm drains.
Measuring 12.5" wide by 14" long, this bag is a standard fit for many residential separation tanks, including smaller Hayward and Pentair models. The 1-ply construction offers a high flow rate, allowing water to pass through quickly while trapping the fine D.E. particles and larger debris like leaves or hair.
