Product Overview The EZ-Clor Check Valve (EZ16-8533) is a vital safety and performance component for EZ-Clor In-Ground Erosion Feeders. This small but critical valve is designed to allow water to flow in only one direction--into the chlorinator.
Its primary job is to prevent highly concentrated chlorine gas and "slugs" of acidic water from backing up into your pool equipment when the pump is turned off. Without a functional check valve, chlorine can migrate backward, causing rapid corrosion of your pool heater's copper heat exchanger, pump seals, and filter internals.
