    1. 5 years ago

      fills a void
These corner pool cover water bags are ideal for the area not practicable for larger water bags. Allows you to keep your larger bags close together. and stills achieves a snug fit on both sides of the corner without overhang..These are practicable and saves money.

      Corner tubes
We bought 4 of them. They worked out very well but the next day when I checked, one of them was leaking. There's a hole somewhere but I can't find it.

      Coming back for more!!
A number of years ago we purchased these water tubes for our 17' x 33' in-ground pool. They are quality tubes!! And when we needed to purchase a few more due to years of ordinary wear and tear from Pennsylvania winters. we knew we wanted the same tubes!!

Prefer the double tubes to the single tubes....
We have been buying these water tubes for over 26 years, and have always been very happy with them, until the past few years, when it seems that the tubes have gone down in quality, due to many tubes having leaks in them!! Just like so many products in our world today, quality has gone down and down, but price has gone up and up..............

      Exactly what I wanted.
Internet and catalog have a wide array of items to purchase. Found what I needed, good price, and delivered quickly.

      water blocks
One to every six feet on a flat inground poll works good. Fill up and zip tie the tops on because they will come off. $2.00 for a hundred ties at harbor freight or amazon. If you're gonna spend $100 for twelve what's two bucks. On an above ground pool on the deck just make sure they are secure. I mean how hard is that. I have nothing to do with this company and even I can see common since. The box's are easy to fix with RTV silicone because if your like mean you might drop one or a lid and need ... read more to repair it. Wipe area with alcohol and use clear RTV available everywhere and wait 24 hours and good as new, not like patching a bag that will leak again.

      Acceptable performance
This past year was the first year using them. I did not purchase enough of them to go around the whole pool so I had both the blocks and bags. They were just as effective as bags as both had a tendency to be dragged towards the pool. However we did loose a couple of bags during winter due to leakage and that side wound up in the drink. The aqua blocks stayed full. Some of the lids did blow off and had to be put back on several times. Cleanup was super easy, just dump the water and stack. This ... read more year I am getting enough for the other half and possibly positioning them diagonally to keep more weight on the cover to keep it from slipping. I'm done with bags. However they do take up more space in storage.

      Does the job
Not sure why the lid catches are not more secure... They need a bit more plastic in each catch to hold the lid properly. Often, the catching mechanism is so flimsy that it's difficult to know when the lid is actually locked in place.

I used these around the deck of my above ground pool and on top of the winter cover to keep leaves and dirt out of the pool water during the winter. Worked like a charm, but they are heavy and awkward to empty. But the pool water was really clean when I opened it for the season!

      Good Bags
Recently bought two six packs of 10 footers and one six pack of 8 footers. The guys from my pool service just came this past Tuesday (8/11) and closed it up for me. According to them all the bags were good except for one 10 footer that was leaky. I neglected to ask if was leaky at a seam or the closure tab so don't know. They replaced it with one of their own. It's only been a few days but I can see that all are still holding water, no other leaky ones. I've had these bags before and usually ... read more they hold up well over the winter. Occasionally I have to replace due to going flat on one side but I think that's due to squirrels or birds that use my pool cover to drink from if it has standing water. Or perhaps they get hit by tree debris during windy weather. I keep a few extras on hand "just in case". All in all for the most part I'm pleased with them.

      Pool Closing Plugs
The plugs are fine, but more expensive than at my local pool store.

      In lieu of a pillow.
I already had the winter cover on the pool. I didn't use a pillow because I wanted to be able to siphon from one puddle of rain water in the middle. I put these tubes around the circumference filled with air instead of water. Should work the same. If my pool cracks from A freeze, I'll let you know. A bit of a trick to fill with air for the size of the valve. But I managed.

      Good product
I’ve ordered these tubes before and work just fine with our pool cover. Hold up well in the winter months

      Ready for winter
I bought the new bags this year because last year half the cover blew in and I battled it the rest of the winter. This year I am ready, bags were reasonably priced ( much better than local store) and arrived quickly.

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Pool Cover Water Tubes

More about Pool Cover Water Tubes

Water Tubes are an affordable way to secure your solid inground pool cover or winter pool cover. Water Tubes are vinyl water bags filled 2/3 full of water and laid on top of the edges of your inground pool cover.  Double tubes lay flatter than single tube water bags to avoid rolling on sloped pool decks, and are still usable if one chamber gets popped. Pinholes or tears in water tubes can be repaired easily with Flexible Sealer

Winter water bags work as pool cover weights to hold your cover down against snow, rain and wind to prevent debris from blowing into the water. Water tubes can also be used with safety covers, to keep debris from blowing under the edge. As an alternative to pool water bags, see our unbreakable Aqua Blocks, plastic containers that will never leak, and stack for easy summer storage.
