    Vacuum Heads & Hoses

      Not heavy enough
I was excited to get this, but find that I have to stand in front of it, in the pool, and pull it the pole and the front of the vacuum head towards me to keep it from lifting off the bottom. Otherwise, it vacuums nothing and the bristles just spread debris around. I cannot stand behind the vacuum head and pole or I've got no contact. I might glue to heavy masses to it.

Heavy head stays on the bottom.
I bought this head hoping it was heavy enough to stay on the bottom of the pool with not much effort. It met my expectations. Lots of bristles to move the debris to the vacuum. When this wears out, I'll buy another one.

      Made it right!
Couldnt be happier! Bought a vacuum head and received pool clarifier. Was a little disappointed, but customer service said keep the product and we'll send the vacuum out asap. Had cloudy water and clarifier cleared it right up. Vacuum can 2 days later. I'll buy all my products from inswim!

      Good Value Hose
This is the second hose I have ordered from In The Swim. If this one holds up as good as the first one, I will be happy. I order all of my pool supplies from them and have for years. We are very happy with everything we get from In The Swim.

Should have gone with the smaller hose
I got the fatter hose but it is weak and bends easily. I thought bigger would be better but not the case. It still works but I have to make sure it doesn't collapse when I am vacuuming.

      Great products
I always have problems ordering with email offers. I never get the discount that they say you will get. I love the products, though.

I have yet to find a decent tele-pole.
If I lived back in the 1600's I would be yelling "My Kingdom for a decent Telepole!" This is a 1-2 season pole, max. The problem with this and every pole I have ever owned is the locking mechanism. After a few months of use you must be Arnold Schwarzenegger to twist & unlock the sections. I don't know if it is water/chlorine/dirt or what, but the nice easy-extending pole that came in the box turns into fixed pole after a few months. Plus, it only takes once for you or your kid to step on it, ... read more giving it the slightest bend which makes the above problem even worse. My next/last pole will be a professional, one-piece fiberglass pole. Yes, it will cost three times what this one does, but I won't be buying a new one every 2 years and cursing it the whole time in-between.

      3rd Time Lucky!
Dear Dr. Pool, I have a large in-ground pool with something everyone wants...a pump and filter system that works like a charm and has the suction power of half of Hoover Dam. To vacuum it, I bought my first telescope pole at one of the local pool stores. When I vacuumed the pool, the vacuum head was nearly impossible to push because the suction of the pool system held it in place like a pice of cement. To move it, I had to bend the telescope pole against the side of the pole to lift the vacuum ... read more off the bottom. SNAP! The pole immediately broke in half! I went to another local pool store and bought a new telescope pole and a "premier" vacuum head with larger wheels to lift it off the pool floor a bit more, hoping that would ease the suction up. It was a bit easier to push, but in the deep end, the suction was too much and I again had to bend the pole against the side of the pool to lift the vacuum off the bottom. SNAP TWO! I picked up the phone and ordered "In the Swim's" Professional Telepole. This 3-piece pole extends from 8 to 21 feet and has an extra heavy-duty aluminum frame that doesn't bend or break and makes vacuuming my pool a breeze (not to mention it was $3 cheaper than the second pole I purchased in town!). So it looks like I won't be buying anymore telepoles from In the Swim for a couple of years at least. It's a great product. Thanks!

      A2020 Deluxe Pole
I had this pole for a few years now and it still looks new. It stays fairly straight fully extended and with a skimmer full of wet leaves. The only negative is it takes a good amount of torque to twist/untwist the cam to keep the pole at the desired length, so don't expect to change it while vacuuming the pool bottom.

      Simple and useful but
Like the compact design of the vacuum head but for some reason the bristle inserts that are removable under the vacuum head break off, second use in one year, they are there to brush up the debris, without them, the head creates a suction bond with the bottom of the pool making it useless. Looking for replacements bristle inserts.

      Thrilled with this replacement part!!
When this piece of our vacuum head broke off, we thought we had to buy a whole new vacuum ... found this replacement part and it fits & works perfectly with our HTH brand vacuum. It was fairly difficult to locate this part and we were happy to locate it at such a reasonable price. The shipping was very fast!

It is what it says it is!
Nothing fancy, it's a replacement vacuum handle. I have an older vacuum head so it was difficult getting the metal attachment screw and plastic handle off but after some "percussive maintenance" I was successful.

      Very good purchase
Went to my usual pool store to buy,but I didn't want to pay their price. So I looked on line for In The Swim, because I bought stuff from you before and found this suction head and could'nt pass up the price. Delivery was fast and shipping was'nt too much.

      Bristles don't last
The brush cleaned well for a while. But since it was stored at the end of last season, it seems the bristles just disintegrated this year and as a previous reviewer stated you can't obtain replacement bristles.

      love the see thru
bought this march 2015 &wanted to get the fine silt out of our 22x54 pool. we didn't have a regular vac hose so used garden hose and duc taped it to net pole and thru the other end out of pool and i was so surprised to see all the junk it picked up even though the suction wasn't as strong as a regular hose. now we are getting a bigger hose. to pick up stuff more quickly. we love it .

      Great cleaner..requires a little strength
The company that opens and closes our pool uses this head. It covers our large area in less than half the time as common heads. The only negative is that it is difficult to move sideways, but a little practice gets a pattern that works

      Heavy burn wearing fast
I purchased this in the fall because of the weight to stay on the bottom of our concrete pool. Very happy with it. I have used it only five times during the winter months and noticed the white rubber inserts are wearing and tearing on the edges already. Obviously rubbing against the rough surface. It comes with larger inserts for vinyl surfaces but I may need to buy new inserts for my pool in a few months.

Pool Vacuum Heads and Vacuum Hoses: Essentials for a Clean Pool

A clean swimming pool is inviting to use and looks great in the yard. With the right pool vacuum heads and hoses from In the Swim, keeping your swimming pool clean is simple and inexpensive. A typical pool vacuum equipment set-up includes a good pool pole, pool vacuum head and a pool vacuum hose of the right length. With these three pool vacuuming tools, you can vacuum your own pool through the wall skimmer.

In The Swim carries pool vacuum heads for vinyl pools and concrete pools. Vinyl pool vacuum heads have soft brushes and concrete vacuum heads have wheels. Vacuum heads attach to any standard pool pole - above ground vac heads attach to 1.25" or 1.5" vacuum hose, and in-ground vac heads attach to 1.5" or 2" vacuum hose. We have over a dozen different pool vacuum heads to meet every budget and pool vacuuming need.

A good pool vacuum hose will not crimp under suction, nor deteriorate when stored in sunny outdoor areas. We offer standard vac hoses and heavy duty vac hoses to meet your performance expectations and your budget. In The Swim pool vacuum hoses are made in the USA, with heavy-duty construction and sturdy hose cuffs. Choose a vacuum hose by diameter (1.25", 1.5" or 2") and by length, from 25' to 75' long. Select a vacuum hose that will barely reach the furthest point of your pool - longer vacuum hoses create extra work when priming and rolling the vac hose.

All-in-one vacuum systems like the Pool Blaster MAX HD and Pool Blaster Catfish are battery powered pool vacuums from Watertech - durable, powerful and rechargeable. Also found on our pool vacuum page are vacuum accessories like skimmer vacuum plates that allow you to vacuum into the skimmer basket, and in-line leaf canisters that function as leaf traps, to prevent suction loss, and extend your vacuuming time. Other pool vacuum supplies not listed here can be found on our Cleaning Accessories page.

If you have any questions about pool vacuuming, or using our vacuum heads and hoses, feel free to call or email In The Swim’s pool professionals and customer service agents. We love to help!
