    Stain Chemicals

      This stuff works!
I had rust stains in my pool after opening up the pool this spring. This product cleaned the stains quickly and completely. I poured some directly over the bad areas and the rust stains dissolved like magic. I was impressed with this stain remover. I will be buying more to have on hand.

      Excellent product that works!
Love this stain remover. I have tried so many others, and this is the only one that I will ever buy. We have a fiberglass pool, and sometimes I can just sprinkle this on a stain and it disappears instantly. Usually, I just dilute it and the whole pool cleans up quickly.I highly recommend this product to anyone who just doesn't know which stain remover to use. Simply the best on the market.

      E-Z Stain Remover
I purchased this product after doing a bit of research to find a product that indicated it would remove the stain on my pool liner. I had my doubts. I followed the directions to the letter to ensure E-Z Stain would had a chance to work. To my surprise after I cleaned the pool a couple of says after application the stains that had been in the pool for 3 years were gone. Excellent product.

      Pool Shock
I normally buy cheap shock and end spending more money. Last year I bought 12 bags of shock and only needed 6 bags the entire summer season.

      Covers all your shock needs
Great shock product. No cloudiness if used as directed on package.

After getting my pool opened and cleaned up, the water was still a weird shade of green, even though it was clear. After some research, I suspected it was excess copper. This got rid of the copper in the water, and the pool is now crystal blue. It didn't get rid of the staining on the stairs, maybe another bottle will?

      Stain Away
This does a great job in removing staining that occurs on steps over the winter. Also is a good preventative when used during winter closing.

      It works
Stain Away has been helping to maintain my pool from stains for years with no complaints. In addition it also works well to remove any stains during the opening process. Works as discribed.

It's crystal clear which clarifier is the best
I spent less on clarifiers, but this one is worth it's weight in gold. It works like a gem (Sapphire). Water temperature and/or water ph doesn't seem to affect the workability of this product. Hands down the best clarifier.

      Best money spent ever
This is by far the best clarifier on the market. i have used several others offered here and this one is worth the extra $ it lasts 2 weeks or more in the summer heat. AWESOME! Just buy it!!

      Good product
We started out using Metal Magic which did a fare job. Then we went to the Jacks Magic The Blue Stuff and it did great, pool was crystal clear, we really liked it. Last month I went to order more of The Jacks Magic The blue Stuff and ordered Jacks Magic The Sapphire and it has done a great job as well. We feel that both of the Jacks Magic products are top notch but on a personal level I prefer the Jacks Magic The Blue Stuff so I ordered two more quarts. Outstanding product

      It works!
Jack's majic is a wonderful product line. From their step stuff to this blue stuff it removes stains, period. I have a 36,000 gallon pool and it cleans it like brand new. I love this blue stuff and highly recommend it!

      Fabulous Stain Remover
The product works wonders on those "iced tea" stains which can plague fiberglass pool surfaces. Begin the year with a bottle and add small maintenance doses throughout the season to keep the fiber surface clear, clean and without stains.

      Works, but only
where water is drained and it is applied to the pool surface full strength. Dropped water below steps, cleaned them great. However it did not get the stains from the bottom of pool.

We have very hard water and Scale Free helps to keep the buildup down on the sides of our pool.

      Easy to use
Good price and easy to use. Worked very well in my salt pool.

      Worked as described! Great product.
I bought this a few weeks ago based on the great reviews. We have well water and extremely high levels of iron in our water. I've had it in the pool two weeks now so I won't know how good it is for a couple of weeks yet when I test the water again, but the bag has turned a deep brown and I am assuming it is really working.

      works as advertised
I used this together with Jack's Blue pool stuff! Both worked GREAT! My pool steps are back to white. instead of grungy brown. Our Water softener failed and we didn't know it. So each time we put water into our pool, we were dumping iron contaminated water in. Was a nightmare, but in just under 24 hours, these 2 products cleared things up. NO dropping chlorine levels, just use as directed.

      Unbelivable Results
My pool liner had quite a bit of copper colored stains throughout my 20,000 gallon pool. It actually made the water look green in color. My liner is a blue pattern color. I was very hesitant about getting this product due to the fact that I had spent $$ on other stain removers and they did little to help remove any stains. The price of this stain remover was quite high, but I figured what do I have to lose other than $80.00 so I took a chance on this one and ordered (2) containers of this ... read more product based on other reviews. Well what happened was really an eye-opener. The results were immediate. I could not believe what I was seeing. Within 2 hours, the pool liner was totally clear of stains and my water looked blue almost immediately. Great product. Really works. Just hope it lasts all season.

      Great Stuff
I could not get any help from my local pool company to get rid of the stains I had, my pool had the worse stains I had ever seen. I knew is was an organic stain as a crushed C tab did not remove the stain but the chlorine tab did. I bought this for my above ground vinyl lined pool and added it to the water by pouring it around the pool. Later that night I checked it and the stain was still there so I thought I had wasted my money. The next morning when I got up the stain was all gone and my pool ... read more looked new again. Great stuff and now I'm going to get the stain away and keep my pool treated every week.

      Miracle product
I was extremely skeptical of this product but I had really ugly stains on the bottom of my fiberglass in the ground pool. Really in the scheme of things 88 dollars is a small price to pay for the removal of those ugly stains. My pool is 12,000 gallons , so it took 2 jars of A-1 stain remover. I put the first on in and left it over night. The stain was very light but still visible, so I put in the other jar and let it do it's thing over night. The next day the water was very cloudy and you could ... read more not see the bottom. The next morning the water was clear and every stain in my pool was GONE. The pool now look's brand new. This stuff work's great !!!! You will not be disappointed.. You will probably need a chlorine neutralizer to get your chlorine level down to 0,3 but after the level is down, the product work's GREAT !!!!

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Stain Chemicals

    In The Swim's Dr. Pool

Stain & Scale Control in Pools

Pool stain chemicals are an integral part of keeping your pool looking clean, new and inviting. Keeping your pool water balanced and keeping a clean pool sometimes are not enough. In addition to our In The Swim stain chemicals, we also carry Aqua Pills, Jack's Magic, Natural Chemistry, and Sea-Klear pool stain chemicals. There are two types of pool stain chemicals - stain removers and stain preventers, and some that do a little of both.

    Pool Stain Removers

With balanced chemistry and a clean pool, stain removers are sprinkled over the surface to lift pool stains. For general purpose organic stains, try E-Z stain remover and for metallic stains try A Plus stain remover. You can also make a Stain Sock by pouring one of our stain removers, or pH Decreaser into a thin sock or hosiery, tied off tightly. Place directly over the stain, moving the location every few minutes, in the pool or with your pool brush. Finally a use for those orphan socks!

    Pool Stain Preventers

Commonly called Stain & Scale chemicals, this group of pool stain chemicals is used to keep minerals and metals dissolved in solution. Known in the trade as sequestering agents, they chemically lock-up metals and minerals, so they cannot come out of solution to stain your pool surfaces. Pool stain prevention chemicals include products like Super Stain Away and SeaKlear Metal Klear. Use weekly to prevent pool stains from iron, calcium and copper, by keeping these metals and minerals safely dissolved.

    Pool Metal Removers

Sequestering agents don't actually remove metals from the water, they simply keep them dissolved in solution, as long as you add regular maintenance doses. However, major chemical movements or poor water chemistry can force metals and minerals out of solution, where they can stain or cloud the pool water. In such cases, an effective DE or Cartridge filter can remove suspended minerals and metals. One chemical however, CuLator Metal Eliminator and Stain Preventer actually REMOVES metals from your pool water. Place the packet in the cage and drop it in your skimmer basket - absorbs copper, iron, manganese, nickel and cobalt ions.
