      Good Products, Good Price
I have been using this kit for the past 7 years to close my in ground pool and it works quite well. My pool opening is easier thanks to the winter chemicals included with this kit.

      Good complete kit that works!
I have purchased this winter closing kit for 3yrs in a row for my 20k gal. gunite pool. Kit comes with directions and the float lasts all winter long. I have opened my pool each spring to find it as I closed it ...clear, no algae. I also use a solid cover with water bag weighs . Will continue to use this kit

Easiest Closing Kit I've Ever Used
We have been closing our own pool for several years now and usually buy our chemicals separately. This is the first year we have used any In The Swim kits and could not be more pleased. What an easy way to get everything we need to close our pool, turning what can often be a pain in the neck, into a simple process and buying it as a kit from In The Swim saved us quite a bit of money as well! Thanks!

Last year's experience brought me back!
I ordered these products a year ago for my pool closing. Since they worked so well last year, my pool was just closed with the same products THIS year!!

      This grouping really works!
I've been purchasing the In The Swim pool closing chemicals for 10-11 yrs and the addition of the Pool Magic products as well as the addition of the Winter Pill worked the best for my inground vinyl pool last Spring. I followed the instructions and added the chemicals before the professional pool reps came to close it. Upon opening the water was almost clear. After using the In The Swim pool opening chemicals along with the usual vacuuming, the water was fit for swimming in no time at all. ... read more As long as their chemicals keep working, I will keep purchasing them.

      Great anti freeze
This product I have been using now for 4-5 years. Just fill up your underground pipes with this, seal them off and you wont have to worry about freezing, cracking pip[e, etc... at all during the winter.

      It Works
I live in the south and have an above ground pool that I do not close for winter. I only have a few trees around and after the leaves have all fallen I clean the pool. We have had a few weeks of 28 degree temps and I always poyr in a bottle of pool anti-freeze to keep the filter and pump from freezing. This stuff works great! When I open the pool (Salt water) I do a shock, and then replace some of the salt that has washed out. Jump in and enjoy.

Does what it’s supposed to do.
Good product, they even tape the bottle caps for extra security during shipping

Easy kit but problem with backorder.
The kit was simple and easy to use. This is the first time I have used the kit and only time will tell if it keeps the pool clean over the coming winter. My only issue is that the small "winter pill" arrived quickly but the main kit was shipped separately and arrived a week late. If you are going to have a promotion on something like this, you should make sure you have enough inventory to cover all orders.

      WINTERIZING WAS A BREEZE !
I was extremely pleased with my winterizing kit. I had everything I needed in the amounts required for my size pool and the instructions were clear, precise, and easy to follow. Closing up my pool was a breeze and I will be back in the spring before I reopen my pool for the season. In addition, once I placed my order - I was kept apprised of it's progress and had my kit in my hands within 48 hours. Very professional company with competitive prices. Gets my vote hands down.

      Great And Easy
      This package is a great package for closing your pool. I have gotten this package for the last 5 years and it works well. Every year when I take my cover off my pool the water is clear as can be. I have used it with an unvented (will not let water into pool) cover and a vented cover and it works well with both. Now with the vented cover you will have the dirt in your pool from the rain runoff that is to be expected however, there was no algae in the water. You can't go wrong with this kit, don't ... read more think about the price think about all the work you will have to do once you open your pool and you didn't treat it for the winter. Just saying.;

      Best yet
I have had my pool for 18 yrs. No matter what I used in the pool for winter, I would open it in spring to cloudy, green water. Last fall was the first I tried this. I was somewhat reluctant on how a little ball will allow the pool to be so clear when I open it. But it was clear as can be.I can see every little speck of debris that was left in there when I closed it, not to mention the liner pattern so easily seen. I have suggested to all my pool friends to try this

      Works Great!
I bought this last year around this time and just threw it in and covered my pool. When I opened my pool again at the end of April my pool was a clear and clean looking as it was when I covered it. I didn't use any other closing chemicals, just closed off and drained my pump and let the ball do it's work.

      Amazed
After 14 years of opening a pool to a swamp, the only change was adding this in the closing of the pool 2010. Opening May of 2011 was amazing clear. Even after having 2 90 degree days(which would normally cook up some algea) before we took off the mesh cover, it was the cleariest it has ever been.

      Works The Best!!!
I have used Algaecide 60 plus for years and love it! I previously purchased the "name brands" at local stores because they were cheaper. Well, they were not cheaper in the long run! I would use more and more without noticeable clearing of the pool water. When I finally switched to Algaecide 60 I was not very confident that I would see an improvement. I was wrong! It may cost more than the other initially, but it last a long time if used as directed. It helps keep my pool sparkling all season! I ... read more recommend it to all pool owners!

      The best, non-copper Algecide.
This is the only Algaecide I buy or would recommend to a friend. First, it has NO copper. Copper is the traditional old-school algaecide and what is in the cheap pool store blue stuff. Now Copper does work very well as algae hates copper, BUT copper will build up over time and eventually react with your chlorine giving you the dreaded GREEN HAIR. Yes, green hair is caused by excess copper, not chlorine as the urban legend goes. This algaecide is copper free and non-foaming. It works ... read more exceptionally well and won't make you look like you work in the Emerald City.

      Eliminated Algae quickly
We recently had a new liner installed and the water was saved by pumping into large bladders. Unfortunately, there was algae in the bladders which made its way into the pool during refilling. Before using, we couldn't see a foot down into the pool. 3 days after the initial dose, water was crystal clear and were adding the maintenance dose weekly with no signs of reoccurrence.

      Excellent product
I have used Pool Magic for several years now and it has proven to be an extremely effective treatment to jump start my pool opening. I also use it to close up the pool in the fall. Well worth using.

Crystal clear pool on spring opening
We've been using this product for 3 years (after a horrible experience opening our pool) and we wouldn't close or open our pool without it now. Great product.

The name says it all! MAGIC!
We use this product when closing and opening our pool. Before we started using this product we always had a water scum line when we opened the pool. The enzymes in this product break down organics, which prevent scum-line formation. No more scrubby mitt clean-up! This product makes spring clean easy and enjoyable! Highly recommend this product.

"Great products for pool people at a Great Price"!
I have been using this kit for years. Follow the directions, and when opening the pool in the spring, it looks as clear as it did when I closed it for the winter. Have never had a bad experience with any products that I purchase from In The Swim. Come to think of it, I buy all my pool products from In The Swim. Thank you for the service you provide and that includes customer service. Kudos !!!

      The Best
Used this closing kit for years and always opened the pool to clean clear water. That is until last year when I procrastinated and didn't order. I stopped at the local pool store and bought their closing kit. Last spring when I pulled back the cover I was greated with cloudy dirty water that took days of filtering and multiple shocks...This year it was back to the In the Swim closing kit...Time saved is money earned

      6 Years of use.
This is what I've been using every year for the last 6 years when putting the winter cover on my pool, and there has only been 1 year that the pool wasn't clear water when I took the cover off and that was just because of a small tear in the cover that I didn't notice until I was taking the cover off the pool.

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Closing Kits

    In The Swim's Dr. Pool

Close Your Pool With The Right Winter Pool Chemicals

During the long off season in the snowbelt – for those that winterize their swimming pool – the water is not being circulated, filtered or sanitized - making your pool the perfect breeding ground for algae. Our winter pool closing kits have been specifically designed and formulated to provide you with the exact combination of powerful winterizing chemicals to help ensure a swift opening next spring, without additional chemicals needed to restore water clarity. All of our In The Swim Pool Winter Kits Include:

    Chlorine-Free Shock

Our Chlorine-Free Shock is a powerful oxidizing agent, but is non-chlorine, and will never harm your pool surfaces or your pool cover. Chlorine-Free winter shock also dissolves faster than chlorine, and maintains greater efficacy at a wider range of pH level. All of our Winter Pool Kits contain our premium non-chlorine shock oxidizer to burn off any remaining impurities, while not reducing the effectiveness of other chemicals.

    Time-Release Winter Floater

Our exclusive time-release Winter Floater discharges a non-chlorine oxidizing agent into your pool water for months after it's been covered. Not only does this winter chemical floater sanitize your pool water, but also works to remove carbon dioxide from the water - eliminating one of algae's primary food sources. Unlike chlorine tablet pool floaters, our non-chlorine Winter Floater will never stain your plaster or vinyl.

    Winter Stain Away

Specifically formulated for closing your pool, Winter Stain Away helps eliminate stain-causing metals and minerals that can leave your pool with costly liner stains or hard-to-clean waterline build-up. Winter Stain Away sequesters metals – keeping them tied up in solution, to prevent them from precipitating out during winter. Works wonders on mesh safety covered pools, and keeps working all year round to help prevent metal and mineral stains.

    Winterizer

The final step to preventing algae next spring is to pour in our special winter pool algaecide. Dr. Pool's own proprietary polymer blend combines in perfect harmony with the other items in your pool winterizing kit. When used in conjunction with our other pool closing chemicals our Winterizer Algaecide is the perfect "knock-out" punch against algae. Lasts all winter long, even into a warm spring.

    Winter Sorb

Made exclusively for our Winterizing Kits, the Winter Sorb™ can absorb up to 40 times its weight in residual suntan lotions and body oils to prevent grease, grime and waterline scum. Oils are not good for keeping a clear pool that is winterized. They provide a low grade food source for algae, and can clog up the waterways, easily combining with free chlorine to create chloramines, which get in the way of free chlorine trying to do its job.

Buy the Winter Kit that best fits your pool size. Don't order a kit that's too small, it's better to have some extra chemical in the pool to help guard against cover tears, heavy debris or warm springtime temperatures. And if you close early, or open late in the season, to buy the next larger size winter kit.

To help select the best Winter Closing Kit, use these formulas to closely calculate the number of gallons in your pool.
     - Round Pools: Diameter x Diameter x Average Depth x 5.9 = Total Gallons
     - Oval Pools: Long Diameter x Short Diameter x Average Depth x 5.9 = Total Gallons
     - Rectangular Pools: Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.5 = Total Gallons
