      great purchase
I bought this ladder for my disabled son to have easier acces in and out of the pool. It has handels on both sides almost all the way down the ladder and the extra tall rails at the top are an added bonus. Everyone thinks this ladder is way eaiser to use. The hand rails at the top wiggel a little bit but still a great ladder. Would diffenately recomend this to all.

      Sturdy Ladder
This ladder is wonderful once it is put together. It is very strong and mounts great to our deck to provide a stable entrance/exit from the pool. But beware... it is very very hard to put together. The rise and run on this ladder is one piece and must be folded to snap into the side supports. Since the plastic is so strong, it is VERY difficult to snap into place. Make sure you have another person to help... took me 3 hours alone and I have assembled everything from kitchen cabinets to outdoor ... read more playsets and houses. If you can get it together it is an excellent ladder.

Great ladder, but I need to replace the handles
We purchased this ladder about 3 years ago. A storm came in and took our old pool and we are now replacing it. Old pool was 48" high and new pool is 52" high. The handles were cut down to fit the deck and now we need more height on the new pool to match up to the deck. Is it possible to get the handles replaced?

      Pool ladder
The ladder works great. It is sturdy which makes it easy to get in and out of the pool. The price is good too.

strong and sturdy. Water storage in the ladder is
We fought with the old "sand bag" latter for years. No matter how you sealed the sand bags, leakage would occur. That problem is now solved. This sturdy latter was easy to assembled (when you read and follow instructions). As soon as we started filling the ladder, it slowly when down to it's place in the pool. NO MORE SAND! I used longer screw for the Section you secured to the deck. also, use washers so the screw head doesn't go through. That is my only recommendation. I really like this ... read more ladder, and wished I bought it earlier.

      Best ladder ever
I never take the time to write reviews, but I had to pay it forward with this product. I bought this ladder to replace the flimsy one that came with my 48 in. Bestway (like an Intex) pool with metal support poles. I debated whether to pay over $100 for a ladder for a pool that only cost $300, but it is worth every penny. This ladder has a heavy-duty platform at the top so I no longer have to climb from the top step of the ladder that came with the pool, over the top edge of the pool, while ... read more trying to balance on 1 foot, while 4 feet off the ground, not easy for someone afraid of heights. We have a lot of foot traffic in and out of the pool, and this ladder is very secure once you fill it with water and zip tie it to the edge of the pool, as other reviewers suggested. Without the zip ties, it does float out of place. With the old ladder, I used to worry constantly that someone would fall off and crack their head open on the stone patio, but no more! The ladder does move a little when the kids are making a whirlpool, but it is easy to shift it back into place, and it doesn't wobble at all even when my 240 lb., 6' 3" husband scrambles up it. The steps are grooved so that your feet don't slip, and the handles at the top are great for turning around at the top. We didn't need any lube to put the parts together. If you're using it for a 48" pool, don't forget to leave off the extensions on the uprights. It tells you that in the instructions, but my husband neglected to read that part, and we had to bang them off so that the ladder wasn't too high. Yes, the ladder cost 1/2 the price of the pool, but we intend to keep the pool for years to come, so it was worth the investment for the peace of mind. Much cheaper than the ones I saw at a pool store. Also, it arrived within 2 days, even though delivery confirmation said over a week. The lock is useless for the ladder, as it is not long enough to fit through both holes, so it doesn't make sense that it is included, so plan on getting lock if you need one.

      Safe and easy to use
We bought a safety ladder bc we have a very curious toddler. It works perfect with our intex pool and keeps our toddler safe and out of the pool. It's easy enough for our 9 year old to manipulate up and down. Not too bad to put together. Took about 2 hours with a lot of children helping

      nice sturdy ladder
This ladder is very sturdy and priced right, word of advice is the hardware is stainless steel and the threads will get screwed up easily. If you tighten down really tight, dont plan on taking it apart cause unless you use anti sieze youll never get it back apart 8 outta 10 times. Use hand screwdriver and not drill driver

Great for backyard w/o a fence
We bought our current pool last year and it only had a standard ladder. Our autistic daughter, who normally is a fish during the summer, refused to climb the ladder and if we lifted her into the pool, she became hysterical. This year we found the staircase system and enclosure. She loves it and the enclosure gives us peace of mind that she can not get in the pool without us opening it for her.

      Worth Every Penny!
Love the enclosure! It is very easy to put together and having steps to get in and out of the pool is so much nicer than a ladder. I have a dog that loves to swim but is getting older so the enclosure help to keep her out but the steps make it much nicer to get her in and out of the pool safely. I also have little ones that are over often and they can’t get into trouble with the door so I feel safer letting them come play at my house. You can’t replace a life so a few extra dollars for the ... read more peace of mind is worth it.

      Love it !
We got a pool last year and it came with a ladder and we hated it. So I started looking around for steps so my elderly Mother-in-law could get into the pool with our family along with all my neices and nephews. We planned on getting just the steps and after 6 weekends of my brother in law not showing up to build it, we took the lumber back and I called and ordered another set of steps and the enclosure kit. Yes, is a little pricey but it is worth every penny. We put it together today and it did ... read more take about 4 hrs to assemble the whole unit.(2 people) You have to put together both set of steps and the the enclosure kit and the gate. It is alittle time consuming. The only issue we had was we built a stone patio outside the pool and the pool and the patio are not the same level which we did have to finangle it a bit to level it up. The unit does have some room for play but if there is more than and inch difference your side rails will not line up correctly. We eventually did get it to work and I am very happy with the product so far. It looks good and it is very easy to walk up into the pool and out. I am so glad I spent the extra money and bought the steps instead of the ladder. You won't be sorry.

      Good quality
Bought this specifically so I could cut off a few inches from the back of the "U" to accommodate a taller height from the bottom of my pool to the surface of the deck I built over the top of it - worked like a charm. A little difficult to put together because the holes on the steps didn't quite line up with the holes in the rails, but it was nothing a little persistence couldn't fix. Overall a big improvement in quality over the ladder that came with the pool when I bought it.

      Super easy to install
This is a great easy to install pool ladder, that is very strudy for even a 250 lb. Man to enter and exit the pool. Doesn't take up pool space. Would recommend.

      Arrived with two broken steps
Looks like good construction but two of the steps arrived broken. The bolts pass through the rails and through two holes on the steps. The inner hole was completely busted on both steps. Appears to be a manufacturing problem. Contacted manufacturer and sent pictures. They needed invoice which I sent. Now waiting for a response. Will update with better review if replacements are sent and a more negative review if not.

      Ladder steps
Not as sturdy as we would like; rails have tendency to pop out. Make sure it's only used for entering anf exiting pool. Not made for kids to jump from. Did not use sand, filled with water and that anchored steps. Did not want to worry about that weight when trying to close pool for seadon.

      Pool steps pad
This pad is a great item to ensure my liner is safe from the ladder. Great price and really fast shipping .

      Ladder pad
I bought this pad to protect my pool liner from possible damage caused by the ladder rubbing against the liner. I finally put my ladder in the pool yesterday. I was delighted when I put the ladder pad in the water, it went right to the botton. It was easy to place under the ladder. I don't think that I will have any problems with it floating up or moving out of place. The size is perfect and has extra material on each side incase of movement. Hopefully the $40 will be well worth it. I also hope ... read more that I can use it for a few years before replacing. We'll just have to wait and see.

Love these steps. We bought them last year and use them everyday in our above ground pool. You will not be disappointed the quality.

The best thing I ever bought for my pool
We purchased these stairs for use with our above ground pool as the ladder we had in the pool was made of cheap plastic and always bent and scraped against the pool bottom whenever we would get in or out. It was also difficult for our young neice and nephew to use it as it wasn't very sturdy for them either and our parents wouldn't even go swimming because the ladder was so inconvenient. We purchased these stairs and now are just loving them. The double handrails, deep, wide steps and sturdy ... read more construction help everyone get into and out of the pool all that much easier. At first, we were concerned that the stairs would take up too much of our pool but that isn't even close to the case as they are hardly noticable in our pool (a 24' round) possibly in a smaller pool they could make a slight impact but until you get below 20' you really won't notice them. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is tired of the same old cheaply built ladders that bend or wobble when you are trying to get into or out of your pool. These helped increase the fun and safety of our pool while granting access to our parents who weren't able to get into the pool before.

      Love these steps
We have had these stairs in our pool for over 13 years. I bought the original ones from another retailer for a lot more money 13 years ago. We broke them this year because we didn't have the man power to lift and should have had someone in the water helping to get them out. These steps have been great for babies, they have been through 5 grandchildren and my 90 year old mother really loves them, she can get in and out of the pool very easily which is why I am purchasing the same stairs as I had.

What a pleasure to get in and out of our pool!
We got this last year, as our ladder was breaking. I'm a bigger than average guy, at about 350#. These stairs handle me no problem. I put them together myself in about 90 minutes. Easy peazy. Rather than fill with sand, I used 2' sections of PVC pipe, glued a cap on the bottom, drilled a few holes for water drainage. Then I filled it with river rock from the big box store. Drill a hole in the middle of the top cap and add a nylon rope for a handle and glue the top on. I attach it with ... read more heavy duty zip ties and it holds it firm to the bottom. Also, rinse the rock with a hose when you fill the pipe. Stops it from washing off into your pool!

Love the steps. So much easier getting in and out of pool.. Only problem was understanding putting the bags to weight the steps. I figured there was a bar to sit them on but NOT. We put them under and they haven't moved so it must have been correct.. Great value!!
