    In-Ground Pumps

      Quiet!
I installed this a month ago and it really runs quiet. When I backwash, it really lowers the pressure and remains low. Great product.

I have had this exact pump for other pools. I actually thought it would be quieter than this one is. It's a great pump though, and really works hard to do the job !!!! Pumps a lot of water in a short time. My pool is always sparkling clean !!!!

      Should have purchased this sooner
I can't believe how simple it is to install and clean this filter, and it has kept my pool free of DE deposits which has been a headache for me all these years.

Hayward C1200 - Excellent Filter System
I just bought this filter system, installed by myself, easy install, great product, feels of quality. Increased pressure back into the pool; I would recommend.

      Hayward Cartridge filter
I'm very pleased with the move from DE to the cartridge filter. The only complaint to-date, after 4-months, is I have to clean more frequently. About every 10 - 14 days. Yet cleaning is much simpler and about a 30 minute effort. The DE cleaning was always 1+ hours and much more difficult. I haven't seen any difference in filtering quality ... as it impacts my pool. If I would change one thing, it would be to purchase a larger filter surface area. My solution will be to get a spare cartridge ... read more filter .... further reducing change time and cleaning at a more convenient time. ....

      Best filter
The filter itself is great. However , it could have been packed better for shipping. The cover piece under the handle was bent and cracked and the box was damaged in that corner. The pressure valve was also broke off and we had to replace it. We didn't have time or patience to deal with returning it and getting another unit. But this is an efficient and great filter.

      What a difference
After my canister filter seemed to give up, my pool was cloudy for weeks. After installing the filter, my pump was still new, the pool was visably clear in 5 hours and crystal clear in less than 2 days. If you know how to work with PVC then installing is no sweat. The bump feature saves on the backwashing and the cleaning took less time than it took to spray the canister filter.

      A Maintenance Headache
I've had a "75" for several years now and it does keep the water in my 16 X 36 pool very clean. I usually have to change the earth once during the season, which seem reasonable. My only complaint entails the bumping mechanism. The whole thing is held on the shaft that attaches to the handle by two "C" clips. Every season at least one of the clips breaks and has to be replaced. The clips themselves are cheap, but replacement means washing all the earth from the filter, complete disassembly, ... read more putting it back together and adding new earth. I won't buy another Haywood filter unless they replace the bump mechanism with something more reliable.

      Excellent Product
I started with an EC75 "finger style" DE filter. I had a few problems and wound up upgrading to this unit. It seems to be much better made and is much easier to maintain for a few reasons. First, if you add the multiport valve, backwashing, rinsing, draining excess water, etc. can be done with the turn of a wrist. Secondly, the every-few-year maintenance you're supposed to do with a DE filter (i.e. opening it up and hosing all of the membranes off) can be done by removing a single bolt, and none ... read more of the plumbing has to be undone. The EC75 requires the disconnection of the plumbing and the removal of something like 20 bolts. Overall, I'm very happy with this filter, and it's definitely worth the extra money considering that this should be a 10 year investment.

      High quality and easy installation
Arrival was fast, installing was easy and pool was crystal clear within hours. Easy to read pressure gauge. This filter was a replacement for my 30 year old Hayward de filter

      Great Upgrade
I replaced a old DE filter with the new Hayward Pro-Grid. I love the new Perma Glass shell as opposed to my old stainless model. Much improved clamping system, and the new control valve makes backwashing a breeze.

      One Great Pump
I replaced a previous super pump with this one. The previous super pump lasted 6 years which considering it ran 7 months out of the year in the Oklahoma heat 24 hours a day, I think it has been a superb pump and is why I purchased another one. My transaction with In the Swim was flawless. I ordered on a Thursday evening and recieved the pump Saturday afternoon and pump was cheaper through in the swim, local pool shops didn't even have in stock!

      Very Good Pump
My first two Hayward pumps averaged 7.5 years running 22 hrs/day for 6 months each year with few problems, and they were totally exposed to the elements during the summer. I did learn that pulling the pump each winter shutdown and storing it in the garage significantly increased pump life. I had one motor bearing replaced by a local shop and I rebuilt one pump which was not difficult.

      replaced my old Hayward pump
Had an old Hayward superpump - not sure how old but it looked old when I bought my house 6 years ago. Had a GE motor - not sure if it was a replacement that continued to work well after I replaced the power cord as the breaker kicked off anytime it rained. The pump has a small crack inside the basket that continued to get bigger as I used it and although the pump still worked at a reduce pressure debris started to get around the basket and jammed up the motor so I had to take it apart on a ... read more regular basis to clean it out. New pump arrived quickly and is working well. 2 weeks isn't long enough to tell how long the motor will last but I guess I have the old GE motor if the new one fails. I considered buying the pump without a new motor but the great price at In the swim allowed me to buy the entire package for only a little more than the pump only at the local pool supply store. Made sense for a little more money as I didn't want to push my luck with the old motor. As far as Hayward - there's a reason people keep replacing their old Hayward products with a new Hayward product.

      so quiet!
Easy to install and the motor is ten Times cooler than our old one. Was delivered when we were told and customer service was top notch.

      Easy install
They had already installed all necessary seals. Just had to plug into already existing plumbing.

      Hayward Maxflo VSP 2300
Advertisement is true as far as it goes but the lack of a clock to time the pump speeds automatically during the 24 hour time period is a minus. Pump is very quiet and does change speeds easily. Does show amount of wattage used at each speed and one hopes this is accurate and if so it will save a couple of hundred $ per year for me. I have a salt pool with chlorine generator and to keep the electrolysis plates covered by water I can not run pump at lower than 1500 RPM's. Even at this speed the ... read more meter says the wattage is 160 for a cost of just 50 cents per day. Lower electric usage will pay for pumps added cost if it lasts 3 years or a little more.

      Excellent job
I purchased the pump and filter combination. After several months of use I am happy with the purchase. System does an excellent job filtering and cleaning the 26,000 gallons of water in my in-ground pool. Quiet running and easy to setup. Pump was wired easily and love the large valve on top for back flushing and even has a rinse setting so you can cleanse the filter sand before starting to filter again thus avoiding sending dirty water back into your pool.

      Get rid of paper filters
I bought a Hayward pump and sand filter three seasons ago. My round pool originally had a paper filter. It was hard to clean, very hard to clean. If you are still using the paper filter type, you are wasting time and effort. To clean a sand filter, you simply turn a handle and turn on the pump. It backwashes easily. You don't have to take the top off the system (which got harder each year), cut your hands, wash the filter 15 minutes, or pay $60 for a new filter. Honestly, I wouldn't have a pool ... read more without a sand filter again. I could kick myself for the hard labor I put in for 8 years on the old, paper filter system.

      a great filter
Great filter!! Saved my nasty pool and worked very well. I have absolutely no negative comments about this filter. It quickly cleaned up a pool that was green and yucky from leaves. I did have to net the leaves out, but the filter and chemicals did the rest.
