    In-Ground Cleaners

      Good but not great
Had a little trouble initially getting it to move over the pool's surface but after backwashing the filter to lower the pressure, it worked as advertised except it took longer than 3 hours to completely clean the pool.

      Not bad for the money
I have a 18 X 32 IG Grecian style pool. I had a polaris 360 for about 3 years until it broke down. A friend recommended the 165 to me so I thought I would give it a try since its cheaper and see how it works. I have used it this whole season and it has done fairly well. The assembly was easy to do in less than 30 minutes. The only tool you need is a knife to cut the hose. The hose comes coiled up and tries to stay that way in the pool. So lay it strait on concrete in the hot sun for a day to ... read more help get the coil out of it. The 165 cleans fairly well. Not quite as efficient as the 360. It seems to want to get in the deep end and not get back out so you have to go outside and pull the cleaner to the area of the pool you want it to clean and hope it stays there. The bag gets about anything and the tail has jets that stir up silt to help the pool stay clean. Like all polaris cleaners of this type there is a little filter where the hose attaches to the wall that needs to be cleaned out once a week or so. If your cleaner looks sluggish that filter probably needs cleaning, which is quick and easy. Overall not as fast at cleaning as the 360, but cheaper and hopefully more reliable. My friend had his 165 for many years. If you dont mind babysitting it a little bit then you will probably be happy with the 165. Also with a flat bottom round type pool it would probably not need any babysitting at all.

      Polaris
Overall I like the polaris. This is the first year for our 20x40 inground pool. We had quite a lot of leaves in it when we opened the pool in the spring and the polaris was great for getting them out. Just plug it in and let it go to work!

      Easy and worth every penny
I have been wanting one of these robotic vacuums for my pool and just kept putting it off because they are expensive. I decided to use tax refund money to get it this year and I'm so happy I did. It does an excellent job and the bag is easy to empty and clean.

      Amazing product works great!!
Easy to setup. Works great with my variable speed motor set at 2600 rpm. Pool never looked this clean. Excellent customer service and quick delivery. I wish they had included longer suction pipe as mine connected to skimmer line.

      Awesome
I love this thing so much if I could I would marry it. Why have a pool if your going to have to work cleaning on it every time you get in it . I spent a lot of money on the bug cleaners etc trying to find a cleaner that actually works. Well I took a chance on this one and it's great. I'm using it on an above ground pool with a vinyl liner and it covers every inch. It doesn't climb the walls but who cares I don't have dirt on the walls anyway. Spend the extra little bit and get this one and your ... read more pool cleaning worries are gone.

      Good pool cleaner
I bought this cleaner about three weeks ago. It was very easy to set up and cleans well. It doesn't climb the walls in my pool (I have a pebbletec) but I had low expectations about that.

      Well worth the money
This machine is so easy to set up and use. Literally just plug it in, drop in the water and watch it work. It maneauvers around the pool very well and scales the walls with ease. It picks up even the tiniest of particles and leaves nothing behind. I have been very impressed with its cleaning ability. There is no need to supervise. I've left it unattended for over 2 hours and it works just fine. It's never gotten hung up on anything or had any obstacles. We have an L shaped pool with integrated ... read more stairs and it works just fine. The only drawback (other than initial cost) is cleaning the debris bag. It's a dirty job to remove and turn it inside out and clean off with the hose. I'm not sure that any other collector would be any better to clean though. I purchased an extra bag so that I can just throw the dirty one in the wash and make clean up easier. Overall, very good purchase and I definitely recommend for time savings!

My ROBOT Has Taken Over Cleaning My Pool - LOVE IT
I have used this robot cleaner for the last 6 weeks. It is incredible. The random mode cleans the pool in about 3 hours. It not only does the floor, it climbs the walls like a PRO! From the deep end (8 feet) to the shallow end (3 feet), it walks up the wall cleaning the fine silt and growth. Saves me so much work !! I set it out twice a week and my pool is CRYSTAL. The bag filter is easy to clean and the power supply lets you know when the bag is full. It picks up leaves, fine biological growth ... read more and even New Mexico sand that blows here constantly.

      Fantastic Cleaner
I struggled on deciding which unit to purchase everyone seemed to have different opinions of each unit, but after reading the reviews I picked this one and have been very satisfied. It gets the entire pool, the bag is easy to remove and clean, and the remote actually works when trying to direct the unit to one spot. Great cleaner, I would certainly recommend this one.

works great, simple and sized right
I've had my sand shark for several weeks now and the pool is cleaner than it's ever been. Easy to hook up if you have a modern pool with a side suction built into the pool. Plug in the hose, adjust hose length and weights, balance the suction at the filter, split the suction between the cleaner and the skimmer and away she goes. Give it too much suction and she'll climb right out of the pool, give it just enough to climb the wall slowly. I placed the weights at each end of the 3rd hose section ... read more and I found that it likes to have the full hose, don't shorten it ( the hose comes in 3' sections) I just love this little sucker! My pool is 35' x 14'.

Best Suction Side Cleaner so far
Have been using the Sand Shark for two weeks now and have to say its the best cleaner dropped into the pool. The pool is spotless with no spots of dirt or leaves anywhere. I like the fact that it has programmed steering so it doesn't spend most of its time hugging the pull diameter or just moving around the deep end. It goes all over. I also have a pool (gunite) that has some tight corners around the steps. The original Kreepy Krauly would get stuck as well as any other programmed cleaners I ... read more have tried. This one does not get stuck. I think its because of the way it moves around the pool. No wheels or "click and jerk". The only way I can describe it is like the vibrating movement of an electric razor dancing along a countertop while on. The vibrating movement helps it turn around even when it pulls directly into a tight spot. Its also quiet and the suction is very good. I see leaves getting pulled in several inches away from the cleaner while it is moving. One thing to note is it took a few days before it started climbing the walls. I think the squeegees on the bottom took some time to conform to my pool bottom. Now it has no problem on the walls or floor. The inside is also self serviceable which is a plus over other models.

      Great investment
We bought this pool cleaner about two weeks ago and wish we would have a couple years ago. Saves so much time and does a A+ job. Very easy to use and cleanup time is minimal.

      works great!!
I bought this a year ago. For the past two years I have had major algae problems that would last for several months. This cleaner has kept my pool clean and clear. In December of 14 my pool pump went out. Used this for three months and my pool never looked better. I do not recommend this in place of a pool pump. I have had no problems with this cleaner. It has definitely saved me money in regards to chemicals. It has paid for itself already. My pool is open not caged in.

      Love the little guy
So far I'm thrilled with it's performance. I used it to open my pool, and now to clean it twice a week. While using it for Spring opening required a few passes because the spring filters are relatively small, it was immensely easier than dong it myself. Switching to the cartridge filters is very easy as well. I had to go online to find the user's manual to make sure I was using both sets appropriately, but that's a minor issue. The only thing I'll warn people about is when using the cartridge ... read more filters don't let the water drain back into the pool when removing the cleaner, otherwise you get a lot of fine particulates that then settle again; there's got to be a way to deal with that in a design way. But overall I would definitely recommend this.

      So far so good!
I bought this for my husband's birthday. He has only used it once so far, but other than a connection error (due to user error) that he quickly figured out and remedied, this has been exactly what he needed. It was fairly easy for him to assemble and very easy to use. So much better than hand vaccinia like he was doing!

      Cleaner works great
I purchased the Polaris p9550 cleaner about 3 weeks ago. It works find. It removes about 95% of the dirt on bottom of pool. I use the remote to gee the other 5% that the cleaner missed. The only problem I have is it will not climb up my steps. Any body a Polaris Cleaner I recommend getting one with the remote control. also the cleaner removal feature is fantastic. I would recommend this cleaner for any body in the market for one.

Easy to setup and does a great job.
I have been debating to purchase a robotic cleaner for years.. Now, after 2 weeks, I am disappointed that I did not buy it years ago. I would not have a pool without it. Simple to operate and does a great cleaning job. I have vinyl, kidney shaped pool, with a 9-1/2 ft deep end. Now I just sit back and let the cleaner do its job. Well worth the money.
