    In-Ground Cleaners

      Best Ever!
I have had a pool for over 30 years and have used many different suction-side pool cleaners over that time (other Hayward products, Kreepy, Barracuda, etc). All claimed they would cover the whole pool and would not get stuck. Or at least, if they did get stuck, you could buy some additional part that would stop it from getting stuck. None of them covered the whole pool consistently and all of them would get stuck, cleaning only certain sections of the pool. So when I got the Hayward AquaNaut 200 ... read more at the beginning of this summer, I was amazed at its incredible performance. It covers the whole pool and never gets stuck. I have had it for 4 months now and my pool has never been so clean - and with no problems whatsoever. It is the best pool cleaner I have ever had by far and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an effective suction-side cleaner!

      Exceeded my expectations!
I've had the AquaNaut for about 3 months and happy I finally replaced my Navigator! This cleaner covered my 14K gallon pool within an hour and several times a day. It works surprisingly well with lower flows and pulls the redwood needles clean through without clogging like the Navigator did. Highly recommend!

      awesome
I use it everyday when the river birch drops seeds overnight. cleans up everything with no problems. I never use the manual vac. I mean never - not once in 2 years.

This pool vac works pretty good for the price.
I have been using this vac and its earlier models since i put in the pool. This is #4. If you do not use a service, you will have to take ca re of some maint. yourself. It will deteriorate due to the pool chemistry over time. If you have steps and cranies it can get stuck. This wears out the pads that propel the vac. I recommend using the bumper. You will have to do a little fitting with a file to get it to fit flat to the bottom and not block the pods. Be carefull to not overtighten the screws ... read more as they can strip. The other parts can be replaced as needed.

Hayward Pool Vac - Skimmer connection
I've had this cleaner for about 4 years now, and I've replaced the "feet" twice, and the paddles on each side. It constantly gets stuck at the steps, which scratches various surfaces of the cleaner. My biggest complaint is that leaves get stuck in the "throat" , and constantly requires me to pull clumps of leaves out to get the machine moving again. My house is surrounded by tall mature trees, and due to leaf production, this equipment just doesn't do the job at my location. Probably fine where ... read more there are no large trees nearby.

I have not opened my pool yet this year but I am confident my new pool vac will work fine. It will be the 3rd or 4th one I have had over the years.

      Well designed, works great
We bought the Polaris 9350 to replace an entry level Aquabot that stopped working 2 years after we bought it. So far, this thing blows that Aquabot out of the water. It does a great job cleaning the pool floor and climbs right up the pool walls to clean the liner just above the water line. The 9350 also does a good job on our steps and the filter canister design is superior to our old cleaner's filter bag system. Polaris Easy Lift system is a huge help; it walks the cleaner to the pool edge and ... read more then blows any water held inside of the cleaner out, lightening it for removal. The caddy is easy to assemble, well designed and does a great job with transport and storage. All around, we are pleased with this product and hopeful it will last longer than our old robotic cleaner.

      Great Product
The pool cleaner allows more time to enjoy the pool instead of breaking my back cleaning it. Simple connection to the skimmer. I couldn't live withou it.

      Good but not great
Had a little trouble initially getting it to move over the pool's surface but after backwashing the filter to lower the pressure, it worked as advertised except it took longer than 3 hours to completely clean the pool.

      Not what it seems
Contrary to what you might think from its appearance or read in other reviews, this cleaner does nothing to clean the surface. It only collects large debris on the pool bottom and not evenly. It has a hard time with corners at the bottom. It does mix up the fine silt so it can be pulled into your filter to be cleaned, but does nothing to remove it.

      good pool maintenance
This my third Polaris (in 25 yrs ) It is efficient and easy to maintain. occasional hang-up on the ladder is not a problem. I have not used it, but there is a diversion device that will prevent the hang-up.The Polaris keeps the pool clean even following wind storms and in the fall. It is a product worth the money.

      Cleans Pool Quickly
Have had this for 1 season in an inground vinyl liner pool and it does the job. Cleans walls and inclines with ease. Only problem was we had to buy 2 and return one as first was defective but was not an issue overall. As long as your pool is setup for one it's just a matter of unboxing and being sure you have the correct flow guage attached ( comes with 2 ). The instructions are included to properly choose the correct one. Connect to the dedicated Pool cleaner exhaust port on the pool, besure ... read more the MAIN pump is on, turn on the Polaris pump and your good to go. When done, turn off the Polaris pump and then if needed the main pump. One tip: If your Polaris does a wheelie, rotate the float on the neck so it adheres to the pool bottom. I recommend this as of 1 season of use so far.

      Love our Polaris pool cleaner!
This is the third Polaris we've had in the 16 years we have had our pool. They have saved me countless hours of labor cleaning our pool, thus giving more time to enjoy it. I would not have any other pool cleaner.

      Look No Further
After extensive research on the features of various units, I replaced my Jandy RayVac after more than a decade of service with the Triton and have been exceptionally satisfied. It does a great job very quickly and holds a surprising amount of debris. The water is crystal clear and the filters are easy to clean. There are settings for doing just the floor or also going up the walls to get the top of the water/tile line which it does very well. I was surprised how quickly I can get the unit in the ... read more water and also how little time it took to put it away. As a result, I found no need to leave it in the water all the time, which is certainly better for the unit, although one could, and there are controls for running it on various days during a week.

      Back to what works
I used an old Polaris for ten years then when it quit I bought a "Tiger Shark" for more money than the Polaris cost. The Shark has to be babysat continually so you may as well do the work yourself since you can't leave the pool area anyway. I went back to using a Polaris because I like the water to be roiled when the filter is on and I can hook up the Polaris and walk away without worry and it will clean the pool and not get stuck on any return lines Etc. The expensive "Tiger Shark" is in the ... read more storage room gathering dust.

      This cleaner really works
After having used 2 different vacuum (skimmer side) devices, I thought I'd give this a try. I had looked at robots, but didn't want to lay out $1,000 +/-. This little bugger really works. It is fast, efficient, and leaves the skimmers undisturbed to do their work. One suggestion: if you have a larger pool with more than one return, you will need to reduce the eyeball diameter at the return not attached to the cleaner. If you don't, too much flow is diverted away from the cleaner and it doesn't ... read more work as well. Smaller diameter eyeballs are available at any pool supply store(I switched from 1/2" to 1/4")

      Awesome Pool Cleaner
This was the best purchase that we have made for our pool. Our previous cleaner did not operate correctly. It had been replaced 3 times. We finally had enough. I found this site by searching on google, and it was the best thing I could have ever done! I have given this site to my pool cleaner, and he has agreed to reccommend it to all of his clients for all of their pool needs.
