      Installation Instructions
To Install: First, call your natural gas company and tell them you are adding a 135K Hayward gas pool heater to the gas service, and need to know if your gas meter needs to be upsized. In some cases, your gas company will upsize the meter and run the gas line to the heater at low cost or no cost (they are happy to sell more gas), or some utilities may refer you to a list of contractors to connect the meter to the heater. You may not need a permit in your area, but gas work must be done according to national gas code, and in the correct pipe size for the distance. You however, can do the rest of the Hayward above ground heater installation. Situate it on a good pad, connect the water, connect the bonding wire, and plug-in the cord to a grounded outlet.
