      The vacuum does not move

      • Check for obstructions in the skimmer and pump baskets. Leaves and debris can reduce the suction these machines.

      My cleaner goes in circles

      • When hoses coil during operation it means the hose memory is still in place from coiled storage. Remove each hose section and allow it to dry after straightening it in the sun. When the hose uncoils, it is ready to reattach. Always store hose sections straight and never coil them.

If your vacuum floats above the pool floor, it could be one of several problems.

      • The vacuum's weight keeps it submerged. If air gets into the hose, it will cause it to float.
      • If your directional return fitting is not pointed downward, but is shooting across the pool surface, that can be the cause. It will exert force on the surface portion of the hose system and cause the vacuum itself to float.
      • Another possibility is that you are not using an adequate amount of hose for your system. Make sure you have at least two extra sections of hose attached, so that the system can reach past the furthest point of the pool without straining.
