    Pool Paint

    1. 4 years ago
      First time using.
Needed to paint my 42 year old gunite after being closed for three plus years. Used prep magic to prepare surface, that was a lot easier then the old way.( just follow instruction ). Then used Envirolon Rubber-Based Pool Paint worked great covered really well, just make sure area is well ventilated (strong smell) watch the temperature outside follow application instructions. Pool up and running looks great very pleased.

"Dark Blue" paint is not really Dark Blue
I was really hoping to get a dark blue paint for the first time. When I ordered the paint color of "Dark Blue" I was so excited because I've wanted this color for years. Much to my disappointment it's really a very neon blue and not at all what I was expecting. Sure wish they had shown a color sample instead of me trusting the color name.

Good coverage and easy to apply.
Bought this paint for a plastered church baptistery that hadn't been painted in a long time. Covered well and looks amazing. Just make sure you have plenty of good ventilation when your using it.

      Good, old school paint
I use this annually to repaint my 50+ year old pool in the Chicago area. Winter is hard above the (drained) waterline. Holds is color and surface way better than competitors (I've tried...), applies easily, and dries as indicated on the label.

We were converting our rubber based pool to epoxy!! Bought both advance conversion primer and epoxy shield !! Not going to say it was easy !! We power washed, acid wash, then primed and painted !! All while dodging rain !! Now 3 weeks later pool filled and so far it is perfect !!!!

I don't understand the complaints about this paint bubbling. The devil is in the prep work. If it isn't followed to the "T", ALL epoxy paint will have problems. I used this paint 1 week ago to repaint my previously epoxy paint pool that had lasted for 8 years. I had used Zeron before and know that this product by In The Swim is also made by the same company that makes Zeron. In The Swim has the most wonderful customer service of any company I've dealt with so I ordered their product. As ... read more expected, the paint goes on like silk - I can't explain it any better than that. It took me 4 hours to do the bottom of my 30x20 ft, 3-9 foot deep pool. It is certainly one coat coverage, and you must use roller with the proper nap, and they MUST be solvent resistant rollers. I used the finest rollers I could find that were for stains but they would only last one roller to one gallon before dissolving. This paint has a high amount of solvents in it, and it cures by evaporation. Never had a single bubble or problem. The only complaint I have is that the fumes are very strong to the point I lost my voice. I had a fan blowing in the pool to help remove the fumes, but it didn't help all that much. The next time I paint, I will ask someone to help me. It was a really tough job for one person because of exposure to the fumes. I was completely fine the next day. I'm more sensitive to these types of fumes than others are. I am VERY PLEASED with this paint, and it went farther than anticipated. I am glad I chose this paint, and am certainly always happy to purchase from In The Swim - they truly do stand behind all of their products and will help in any way they can (I'm speaking from an experience last year where my new Hayward pump had a bad capacitor). They have an online chat to find out answers to your questions right away and often times give you a special code for a discount. They go up and above with their service. That other catalog/mail service pool place that begins with the letter "D" - don't bother as their customer service is so poor. Their fliers aren't even good enough for my dogs to "do their duty" on.

      Concrete Pool Paint
Second time purchasing this pool paint. Easy application, drying time as described. Will continue to purchase when needed, last from wear and tear, peeling 4-5 years due to chemicals. Great touch up.

      Aqua Coat [email protected]@KING Good
Due to drought here in Union County NC, and not being able to properly fill the pool the previous year. We had to close up pool and not use. The pool looked bad all green and ugly. Our pool is 10 years old, so we decided the only way to get that fresh clean look back was to drain the pool completely, scrub the wall and paint. Boy it looks great, we searched high and low for pool paint in this area and could not find any. We received a catalogue for In The Swim and PROBLEM SOLVED.

      Excellent Paint
We just painted and filled our pool. The surface was very rough so we wanted something to make it easier on the kids feet without paying to have it resurfaced. Not sure how old it is, but probably 10 to 20 years and it is gunite. The first coat of this paint took a good while because the gunite really soaked it up, but the second and third coats only took a couple of hours each. I bought enough for two coats, but had enough left over for an additional coat. It looks absolutely beautiful and it ... read more is easy on the feet. The only problem is that in a few places we had bubbles or blisters come up and the pool vacuum sucked them off so you can see the white pool surface in a few round spots in the blue paint. We chose pool blue. It is really beautiful, but I am almost wishing we had chosen white so the spots would not be noticeable. We thought the paint would immediately start coming up around these spots, but it has been 3 weeks and it is holding up really well. I think I got the paint on a little thick in spots and this is what caused the bubbling. All in all we are really pleased and may actually paint it again in a couple of years. I did get the paint on sale during the winter months so we paid about half price. We also bought a cheap white gallon of pool paint and mixed colors and put Little Mermaid and her fish and crab on the walls just for fun. I expect they will bleach out, but so far they are still there and really cute. The kids had fun painting them.

Swimming Pool Paint for a Stain-Free Pool

Fall in love with your pool again! Swimming pool paint from In The Swim is an inexpensive way to give new life to any concrete swimming pool or fountain. In The Swim pool paints are suitable for bare gunite/shotcrete, marcite/marbleite, whitecoat/plaster, fiberglass pools, and also provides an easy to clean surface for pool fountains and water features, in residential or commercial settings.

    Epoxy Pool Paint

For the greatest durability and longest life, choose Super Poxy Shield. Epoxy pool paints are the most expensive pool paint, but can last for up to 7-years, and provides a hard ceramic-like finish that holds up to long summers and longer winters with an easy to clean finish. Super Poxy Shield covers up to 150 SF per gallon. Use Epoxy Primer or Gunite Primer when painting a pool or fountain for the first time.

    Water Base Pool Paint

One of the easiest to apply pool paints and the fastest-to-fill is our Aqua Coat water base paint. Acrylic pool paint has an attractive price and can be applied to wet surfaces, and can also be applied over rubber-based pool paints. Cleans up easily with water, and unaffected by light rain or humidity. Two coats of Aqua Coat acrylic pool paint lasts for 1-2 seasons, and covers up to 300 SF per gallon.

    Rubber Base Pool Paint

Once upon a time, rubber was the only choice in pool paint - chlorinated rubber pool paints like our high-quality CRC Pro-Series rubber based paint. Our lowest cost pool coating, CRC rubber base pool paint requires no mixing and rolls on smooth and even. We also offer Envirolon rubber base paint, a low-VOC synthetic rubber pool paint. Two coats of rubber base pool paint lasts for 2-3 seasons, and covers up to 275 SF per gallon.

    Conversion Pool Paint

For many years, if you wanted to switch from Rubber to Epoxy pool paint, you had to sandblast the pool to remove all rubber paint. Not any more, thanks to the chemical conversion that takes place when you cover a rubber painted pool with Advance Plus Conversion Coating. Applied as a primer coat over a (prepped and cleaned) rubber-based pool paint, you can then apply a second coat of our one-coat epoxy pool paint, Super Poxy Shield.

Whether it’s a complete rehab or just a touch-up, In The Swim’s pool paint and fountain paint selection offers high quality, easy-to-apply underwater paints that are designed to last for years.
