      One coat is plenty!
Bought another brand last year and it faded after half a season. This paint looks so nice right now, love it!

      Excellent Paint
We just painted and filled our pool. The surface was very rough so we wanted something to make it easier on the kids feet without paying to have it resurfaced. Not sure how old it is, but probably 10 to 20 years and it is gunite. The first coat of this paint took a good while because the gunite really soaked it up, but the second and third coats only took a couple of hours each. I bought enough for two coats, but had enough left over for an additional coat. It looks absolutely beautiful and it ... read more is easy on the feet. The only problem is that in a few places we had bubbles or blisters come up and the pool vacuum sucked them off so you can see the white pool surface in a few round spots in the blue paint. We chose pool blue. It is really beautiful, but I am almost wishing we had chosen white so the spots would not be noticeable. We thought the paint would immediately start coming up around these spots, but it has been 3 weeks and it is holding up really well. I think I got the paint on a little thick in spots and this is what caused the bubbling. All in all we are really pleased and may actually paint it again in a couple of years. I did get the paint on sale during the winter months so we paid about half price. We also bought a cheap white gallon of pool paint and mixed colors and put Little Mermaid and her fish and crab on the walls just for fun. I expect they will bleach out, but so far they are still there and really cute. The kids had fun painting them.

      Super pool steps
So far this paint is fantastic. It feels like a military grade type of paint. The look is beautiful when I finished my fiberglass steps. I will be buying more in the future to redo my swimming pool slide. Can’t wait.

A hard candy shell for your pool!
My pool is over 25 years old and was an odd duck. Fiberglass walls and an unpainted cement bottom. There were cracks and it leaked like a sieve. The local pool folks wanted over $3000 to fix it up. We did it ourselves for half that cost. After acid washing, cement repair, prep and priming with In The Swim Gunite Primer, we painted. It took 5 gallons for my 15x30 pool. We couldn't believe the difference it made...it has been three summer's now and it still looks brand new. We get tons of ... read more compliments and haven't had a single problem with chipping, peeling, detachment, etc. Nothing. Now, there are some steps you MUST take for success. First, the pool surface must be completely dry and I mean bone dry. Cement & plaster are porous and hold moisture inside. You must have several days of dry weather for it to completely dry out. You cant have ANY moisture in the concrete or the paint could bond poorly. Place a sheet of plastic somewhere on your empty pool floor overnight. If in the morning there is moisture under the plastic it isn't dry enough yet. This is a two-part epoxy paint. You mix the two cans well and then paint...quick! It goes on very thick and dries/hardens in under an hour so you have to work fast. If you want to see my whole pool re-furb/paint process complete with pictures using this paint, Google "pool paint refurb complete" and you will see my forum post at the top.

      Too much paint!
This paint went on pretty easily, but even though we followed the guide , ie, each gallon covers 150 square feet, we covered the whole pool easily with half the recommended paint! Now I have gallons of paint I can't return without a 20% "restocking fee". We live outside Chicago where we have had nothing but rain for the month of June and we couldn't paint. So we missed the 14 day window for returns! So, be careful how much you buy.

      Good, old school paint
I use this annually to repaint my 50+ year old pool in the Chicago area. Winter is hard above the (drained) waterline. Holds is color and surface way better than competitors (I've tried...), applies easily, and dries as indicated on the label.

      synthetic rubber paint - "PoolBlue"
Excellent coverage as per instructions. After 3 days of drying time, we filled our pool. 1st coat used 3 cans for our gunite pool, 2nd coat full coverage with some left over for touch-ups.

"Dark Blue" paint is not really Dark Blue
I was really hoping to get a dark blue paint for the first time. When I ordered the paint color of "Dark Blue" I was so excited because I've wanted this color for years. Much to my disappointment it's really a very neon blue and not at all what I was expecting. Sure wish they had shown a color sample instead of me trusting the color name.

Swimming Pool Paint for a Stain-Free Pool

Fall in love with your pool again! Swimming pool paint from In The Swim is an inexpensive way to give new life to any concrete swimming pool or fountain. In The Swim pool paints are suitable for bare gunite/shotcrete, marcite/marbleite, whitecoat/plaster, fiberglass pools, and also provides an easy to clean surface for pool fountains and water features, in residential or commercial settings.

    Epoxy Pool Paint

For the greatest durability and longest life, choose Super Poxy Shield. Epoxy pool paints are the most expensive pool paint, but can last for up to 7-years, and provides a hard ceramic-like finish that holds up to long summers and longer winters with an easy to clean finish. Super Poxy Shield covers up to 150 SF per gallon. Use Epoxy Primer or Gunite Primer when painting a pool or fountain for the first time.

    Water Base Pool Paint

One of the easiest to apply pool paints and the fastest-to-fill is our Aqua Coat water base paint. Acrylic pool paint has an attractive price and can be applied to wet surfaces, and can also be applied over rubber-based pool paints. Cleans up easily with water, and unaffected by light rain or humidity. Two coats of Aqua Coat acrylic pool paint lasts for 1-2 seasons, and covers up to 300 SF per gallon.

    Rubber Base Pool Paint

Once upon a time, rubber was the only choice in pool paint - chlorinated rubber pool paints like our high-quality CRC Pro-Series rubber based paint. Our lowest cost pool coating, CRC rubber base pool paint requires no mixing and rolls on smooth and even. We also offer Envirolon rubber base paint, a low-VOC synthetic rubber pool paint. Two coats of rubber base pool paint lasts for 2-3 seasons, and covers up to 275 SF per gallon.

    Conversion Pool Paint

For many years, if you wanted to switch from Rubber to Epoxy pool paint, you had to sandblast the pool to remove all rubber paint. Not any more, thanks to the chemical conversion that takes place when you cover a rubber painted pool with Advance Plus Conversion Coating. Applied as a primer coat over a (prepped and cleaned) rubber-based pool paint, you can then apply a second coat of our one-coat epoxy pool paint, Super Poxy Shield.

Whether it’s a complete rehab or just a touch-up, In The Swim’s pool paint and fountain paint selection offers high quality, easy-to-apply underwater paints that are designed to last for years.
