      Does a great job
I just bought the SharkVAC XL last week and have run it through a couple of cycles in my 16 X 36 in-ground gunite pool. Instructions are clear and set up was easy. I got a Hayward pressure side 4 wheel cleaner when the pool was installed three years ago and after messing with it for the entire three years I never did get it to work (hose tangled, wouldn't climb the walls, spent all its time either stuck in a corner or running around on its side). I'm amazed at the fantastic job the SharkVAC ... read more XL does. It learned very quickly, completely scrubbed the walls and tile line, never got stuck anyplace, climbed and scrubbed the steps and picked up everything on the bottom, even tiny specs of sand.

      Great vacuum!
We bought "Sharkey" 3 years ago...my only complaint is that I didn't buy it sooner. It is well worth the investment. It cleans the pool perfectly every time. It is a bit heavy to haul out of the water, but what isn't heavy when being pulled out of the water? I am a 57 year old female and I can do it! The top latch is a little tricky to undo...they should rethink their design, but you just have to figure it out...put two fingers under the latch while pushing the release button pops it open every ... read more time. I hope Sharkey lasts for years to come, it is absolutely the deal for keeping your pool clean and never having to drag a vacuum hose around and stand there in the sun for hours again.

      Weighs too much
Very hard to open the top to clean it out . It does do a good job cleaning. Doesn't always do a three hour cycle.

      Works well, very cost effective
I bought the Jr. last season shortly after opening the pool. It performed very well, cleaning the entire pool in about three to four hours (16'x36'x3-8'deep, vinyl liner with skimmer, no bottom drain). Standard buoyancy floats allow unit to run approx.3 feet up the sidewalls. Covers entire bottom very well. I stored it in unheated garage over winter in Pennsylvania and the rubber parts (tracks and brushes) survived well, still look new. When opening the pool this year (we have winter safety ... read more cover with center mesh panels so there is always a layer of dirt in the middle of the pool) I dropped the unit in and let it run for about four hours, this removed the heavy dirt. I then brushed the bottom and sidewalls and ran the unit again the following day for about 8 hours and the pool was perfectly clean. Continues to work very well in second year. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced cleaner. Instructions say not to run skimmer when cleaner is in operation, however I do as it has a fairly powerful pump which turns the entire pool volume over a couple times in a three to four hour run. This allows the skimmer and DE filter to remove fine particles which pass thru the filter bag. Cleanup after run is just to remove and rinse the filter bag and store the unit in the shed. Total time I spend cleaning the pool on Saturday mornings is only about 15 minutes compared to about two hours when I used to vacuum the pool by hand.

      Follow Up Review
We have been running our Aquabot JR since April '13. At end of last season it was working intermittently, then stopped altogether just before I closed the pool. Took it to local service shop (Aquabot has list of factory authorized shops). They found that there was a short in the cord. Technician said that this is a typical problem for these cleaners. The insulation breaks down at flex point where cable enters housing. He trimmed off a couple feet of cord and so far it is working fine. ... read more Repair cost $110, a replacement 50' two conductor cable retails for $270 so the repair is worth a try. All of the rubber parts (brushes, drive belts) remain in very good condition after five years of use and storage in unheated shed in Pittsburgh area. Overall we remain big fans of this little cleaner.

      Aquabot Jr
This isnt our first Aquabot...it works great for our small inground pool. We have bought other pool cleaners and slides from In The Swim. ..great people to deal with.

      Wouldn't own pool without it!
I've had my Aquabot for over 6 years now, still going strong. Does excellent job cleaning pool. I use it once a week for 6 -7 hours per cleaning. 20 x 40 vinyl inground pool. I remove my ladder before cleaning so the aquabot doesn't get hung up. Common sense, people! Can get tangled in cord occasionally, but not much of a problem. Best pool purchase I've made. Love this unit.

      Well worth the money
Since we received the Aquabot I haven't had to manually vacuum the pool. I have a 20 X 40 pool & all I have to do is put it in the pool and watch it go. Climbs the walls with no problems & does a good job along the water line. The directions & DVD that come with it are easy to follow. Cleaning the filter bag is easy & only takes a couple of minutes. It picks up stuff you can't even see & I haven't had to back wash my filter as often.

      Happy with results
Overall I am pretty happy with the Aquabot. It does its job of cleaning the pool pretty well which keeps me from having to vacuum it which I hate doing. Sometimes it gets stuck on the pool ladders which is annoying, you have to go move it or it just stays at the ladder. After a day of cleaning, the cord tangles itself up and may not let it go to the end of the pool. But these are pretty small problems compared to the overall satisfaction of not having to vacuum my pool.

      Cleaner works great
I purchased the Polaris p9550 cleaner about 3 weeks ago. It works find. It removes about 95% of the dirt on bottom of pool. I use the remote to gee the other 5% that the cleaner missed. The only problem I have is it will not climb up my steps. Any body a Polaris Cleaner I recommend getting one with the remote control. also the cleaner removal feature is fantastic. I would recommend this cleaner for any body in the market for one.

      So far so good!
I bought this for my husband's birthday. He has only used it once so far, but other than a connection error (due to user error) that he quickly figured out and remedied, this has been exactly what he needed. It was fairly easy for him to assemble and very easy to use. So much better than hand vaccinia like he was doing!

At long last, I can swim when I want to
If you have a pool, you need a robotic cleaner. If you are thinking of installing a pool, add in the cost of a cleaner. I researched and read reviews on tons of cleaners out there. I talked to pool store people and friends who have ones. Ended up with this rover, and am so far pleased with the results. Have used it for two weeks now and my water is crystal clear. I have a fine brown silt that builds up in the floor crevices of my 24' above ground round pool. I use this every other day and it is ... read more 95% gone. I don't worry about the remaining 5% since it gets stirred up when we swim and doesn't affect the water quality. It gets sucked up next time I put the rover in. I can now swim when I want to without dealing with hoses, poles and vacuum heads. Not to mention how ugly those are sitting on the ground or deck next to my pool. I keep the rover hidden away in a deck box when not in use. Filter bags are easy to access and clean. You do need to allow the rover a few hours to cover the whole pool. It sometimes goes over the same area a bunch of times, but it seems like the control box systematically changes things up to make the bot eventually move on to another area. Don't sit there and watch it work thinking it will target the dirt. It needs time to cover the whole pool. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I am concerned on how long it will last, based on some other reviews written. If I get 3 years out of it, it is definitely worth 5 stars. At a cost of $300, that would only be $100 per year to never have to vacuum your pool. Good money spent in my opinion. My cord does not tangle like some others have said. I place the control box and extra cord on my deck, and the rover pull in what it needs. Has not tangled yet or gotten hung up on my ladder. Wish I bought one a few years ago when I started looking at them.

      Safe bet.
I've only had this one season and so far so good. I have a 27 foot round above ground with a dish in the middle and this thing manages the pool well. I haven't needed to use it a ton but it does a good job of cleaning and the unit is easy to clean out and maintain.

      Nice little pool cleaner
Sure you can spend 1000$ on a machine that maps every inch of your pool and scrubs it but for the price of this one you can put it in and come back later to a mostly clean pool bottom. In three weeks of cleaning it pays for itself. I have a 40x20 inground and it does really nicely. Light and easy to operate. Beats the filter suction hand held system I was previously using hands down.
