    Commercial Water Balancers

      Really does work!
We tried this last year for the first time because we seemed to be going through 2 bags of shock (how we chlorinate the pool) every other day. Mixing it in a bucket never seemed to work. As other people have said, it won't dissolve and it just winds up on the bottom of the pool. This year we gave it another try. This time slowly putting it through the filter. What a difference! Now I'm adding 2 bags of shock every week and a half. We added this about a month ago and it's still working ... read more great. Water is sparkling clear. Love this stuff!

      Use an old Gym Sock.
CYA is essential to a balanced pool...think of it as "Chlorine Sunscreen". Sunlight degrades chlorine fast and if you have no CYA, you can be back at zero free chlorine on a sunny day in hours. As others have mentioned, it is very slow to dissolve. It WILL dissolve, it just takes awhile. The worst thing you can do is just dump it into your skimmer, as it will just sit in your filter and even raise your filter pressure. Then when you backwash, you wash out all the CYA with it. The best method I ... read more have found is to pour the amount you need into an old gym sock & knot the top. I then take some string and tie the sock in front of the filter return jet flow. Thanks to the constant water agitation the sock will be empty in a matter of days without granules all over your pool bottom.

      Disolving product
Cyanuric acid is a white powder or granular product which is usually added to the pool water through the skimmer. Backwash the pool filter first, then remove the pump basket and restart the system on "filter" and add Cyanuric acid slowly to the skimmer closest to the pump. Stabilizer dissolves very slowly so we add it to the skimmer to allow the product to reach the pool filter where it can dissolve slowly over time. Do not backwash the pool filter for a few days after adding stabilizer. It ... read more needs this time to dissolve. Cyanuric acid has a low pH. Adjust the pH level of the pool water to 7.5 - 7.8 once the stabilizer has fully dissolved or after a couple of days.

      How much does it contain?
Since buying this product my hair and muscles have grown significantly. I am not sure what purity of weapons grade plutonium is in this product, but it definately cleaned up my pool, my neighbors pool, and the surrounding lakes are now all algae free for 50 miles!

      OK Product (but a pricey)
Often times, I will use liquid bleach as a sanitizer in my pool, the down side being the lack of Stabilizer in Chlorine Bleach. I've tried supplementing with Cyanuric Acid, but the results were minimal, and it took an extended period of time to dissolve. The two downsides of this product are as follows: 1. Price For what I use the product, over the long run it's cheaper to use chlorine with stabilizer infused. 2. Sludge Be prepared to spend some time extracting the product. I expected a liquid ... read more solution that would pour from the container. Instead, the product greatly resembled a 75% dry container of Elmer's Glue. After a while, I gave up, and took the top of the container off with a box cutter, and spooned out the contents into a mixing bucket. Overall, the product was more effective balancing chemicals, but for me to purchase the product again, the price will have to come down significantly.

Works when the other things are balanced
Bought 2 gallons of this to bring up CYA from pretty much zero after winter cleanup. Pool is about 17000 gallons above ground. After adding first gallon nothing waited 24 hours still nothing added second gallon and got a slight reading. I ordered another gallon and while I was waiting went ahead and balanced the other things. PH was in range, but TA was very low. Well water so there's a lot of pool unfriendly content in the water. Threw a few boxes of baking soda in to raise the TA and suddenly ... read more the CYA numbers came up. Could have been nothing more than time, but seemed to me this doesn't work well if the TA is low. Once everything else got right the CYA number was there. If you're having problems with this try getting the other things balanced and hopefully you'll be as fortunate as I was.

      Worked as advertised
We recently had our pool re-plastered and filled. It's going to be a salt system so we did not install a chlorinator to be able to use tabs with stabilizer. In the first 30 days we are using liquid chlorine (bleach) and needed the CA for stabilization. Four bottles set the level perfectly.

      Did the job!
Our pool had a ph of about 6.6 - 6.8 at the start of the season. We were able to bring all other water parameters into proper range, but needed to bring the ph up, and out if its acidic state. Used this product, as directed, and it got us dialed-in to 7.2 - 7.4 very quickly. Be sure to dilute in water before adding to pool (per directions). Get some!

Can't do without it in Wisconsin
I can't open my pool without this. When you have a big pool you need lots of the ph up . There isn't enough baking soda in the world to balance it seems. And as with all pool chemicals, please read the instructions.

      works great
I used this product to lower my PH level that has been very high and the product worked great. By the next day, after circulating the water overnight by leaving my pump on, I was able to see great results. The pool is back in balance and the water looks clear and clean once again. This product solved my problem great. Use as directed!

      Great Value
I purchase the Soda Ash in 50 lb. bags due to the amount of acid rain I get here in Ohio. I think the 50 lb. bag is great because I always have enough on hand to re-balance the pH in my large 40,000 pool. Buying in the 50 lb. size is most economical, and will last me through the season. Highly recommended!

      Convenient
I always enjoy ordering products from In The Swim from my arm chair, and having them delivered to my front door. They are more reasonable in price than the local pool center.

      Works great
I bought this product a month ago because we where having problems getting the chemicals balanced which was causing our water to have a green tint. We applied a cap full in our pool in the evening and in the morning the pool was clear and the chemicals balanced. I would recommend this product to anyone.

      Alkalinity Increase in AR
Wow! I have bought a lot of different products and have never had the Alkalinity level up to where it needs to be in the last few years. Every time it rains my balance fails plus we loose about 1/2 inch of water per day due to the heat and humidity levels. I bought the bucked, poored half in the pool, the next day poured the remainder in the pool. My PH is perfect!!!!

      Great Product
Using Chemicals from "In the Swim" has made the maintainence on our 30 foot pool so easy that 15 min a day is all thats required to keep it clean and test the water balance. It has stayed stable all season with less cost than ever before. I'm very happy with their specials and the savings on S & H and utilize those to buy volume enough for us every time I can. Big savings overall. Keep up the great work !!!!
