      Sturdy ladder
Sturdy ladder. Would like it to have a wider base, but is much better than the one that came with the pool.

      Labor intensive
How many people have a heating gun at home? That's what it takes to bend the parts for assembly. The opening for the sand/gravel is between the size of a dime to a nickel, very time consuming to fill. Make a deal with pool companies to pick up an assembled ladder from the store. Whenever I finish filling it, I know it will be a decent ladder.

      Sturdy Ladder
This ladder is wonderful once it is put together. It is very strong and mounts great to our deck to provide a stable entrance/exit from the pool. But beware... it is very very hard to put together. The rise and run on this ladder is one piece and must be folded to snap into the side supports. Since the plastic is so strong, it is VERY difficult to snap into place. Make sure you have another person to help... took me 3 hours alone and I have assembled everything from kitchen cabinets to outdoor ... read more playsets and houses. If you can get it together it is an excellent ladder.

      Good quality ladder
We were having a hard time finding a ladder that fit our new pool. There are a lot to fit 4 ft. ladders, but not many for the higher pool 4.5 ft plus the deck. We have a son who is handicapped so the steps are much easier for him to get in and out of the pool. We did have to drill an extra hole on the upper part so the ladder would fill with water. We are happy with the quality for the price.

What a pleasure to get in and out of our pool!
We got this last year, as our ladder was breaking. I'm a bigger than average guy, at about 350#. These stairs handle me no problem. I put them together myself in about 90 minutes. Easy peazy. Rather than fill with sand, I used 2' sections of PVC pipe, glued a cap on the bottom, drilled a few holes for water drainage. Then I filled it with river rock from the big box store. Drill a hole in the middle of the top cap and add a nylon rope for a handle and glue the top on. I attach it with ... read more heavy duty zip ties and it holds it firm to the bottom. Also, rinse the rock with a hose when you fill the pipe. Stops it from washing off into your pool!

      Great steps
Could not be happier with this purchase! The system came in two boxes and once unpacked, took me about 2 hours to fully assemble by myself including the time to fill the base with sand. The steps went together easily and dropped into the pool easily. I have a deck, so sinking them was easy, however, if you have to lift them in, I would highly recommend two or three people to help. While they were heavy going into the pool, they are solid and do not move once filled with water and set. They ... read more are stable and great to use getting in and out. The handrails are a bit wobbly as you might expect from plastic, but overall went together easily and are steady in the pool and make getting in and out so easy. Highly recommend!!

The curve step system is amazing!
I highly recommend the Curve Step System for anyone that has an above ground pool. They are very well built and the assembly instructions were easy to follow and was as close to trouble free as anything we have ever tried to assemble before. Our above ground pool is buried approximately 3 ft. in the ground, and this step system makes it effortless to get in and out of the pool. We are extremely happy with the look of the steps and have received numerous compliments on them! My husband & I are ... read more very impressed by this product. So much so that he said, "you have to write a review on these so people will know how great these steps are!"

      Easy to use!
I bought this about a month ago. It works great! Wish I would of had it last summer. The steps are easy for me to put down and put up. Last year I could not tell if ladder was in or out of pool without walking to the pool. Now it only takes a glance to see if ladder is up when the grandkids come over. We opted not to attach it to the pool, instead we order the outside stabilizer. The wide steps are also a plus.

      Nice ladder
But you had better be strong and handy to get it together. Never seen instructions that included a rubber mallet in every photo. You definitely need the tools they say and soapy water. We had one tread that didn't fit in the hole and we struggled for 20 minutes paring it down until we could beat it into the hole. Water doesn't really make it that heavy. We put sand bags on the bottom rung. Ok for the price I guess.

      Okay ladder for the price
Overall it is a good ladder for the price. It is the entry level pool ladder so don't expect it to be everything you every wanted in a ladder. Pros: Affordable and Heavy Duty Plastic Cons: Hard to Level and Kind of Difficult to Assemble It is moderately difficult to assemble, however if you take your time and follow the directions. The directions are not the clearest in some parts but think through what they are asking you to do and you will be fine. It was difficult to get level ... read more and it did wobble a lot until I screwed a 6x6 to the bottom of the pool ladder deck and it rests on the top of the pool rail and now it doesn't wobble side-to-side. Overall it has been a good pool ladder.

      Great ladder
This is a really great ladder. Went together very easily. Step treads are nicer on the feet than our old ladder. Love it!!!

Deck flanges are a seperate item!!
Be sure to order your deck flanges along with this item. Holes in plastic steps may need trimmed for the pipe to slide through easily. Overall looks like a good product. In The Swim shipping our deck flanges in a couple days. Will update review when they arrive.

      Arrived with two broken steps
Looks like good construction but two of the steps arrived broken. The bolts pass through the rails and through two holes on the steps. The inner hole was completely busted on both steps. Appears to be a manufacturing problem. Contacted manufacturer and sent pictures. They needed invoice which I sent. Now waiting for a response. Will update with better review if replacements are sent and a more negative review if not.

      Somewhat satisfied

      Great ladder
I'm very happy with my new ladder it's very sturdy and safe the only issue that I have is that the ladder is straight up and down instead of having a slant to it but I do like the ladder and I feel like it is very safe for my family and it won't rust or leave paint chips in my pool

Bought this a couple weeks ago, so far very happy with it! It’s a great ladder for the money!

      5 stars!!
I have an Intex 52" above ground pool... and i wasn't sure if was going to be fair at best but i am so impressed with the quality for the price. Some of my family are large people and the ladder is spectacular. ....Worth every penny!!....also shipped very fast...

      Ladder is great
We are happy with our purchase. Ladder is easy to climb and sturdy.

Overall I am pleased. It was challenging to assemble but if you read everything properly it does help. You need gravel to put in one side for ballast. Drill extra holes to fill with water faster. Be prepared to drill into your pool rail for added stability. Frankly, it is almost as sketchy as other models but once secured to the rail, it is pretty solid. I choose to NOT assemble the gate and it is just fine as I have a fence around my pool.

      Fairly good product
We've had our steps for about a month and yes they do support the weight as claimed, BUT, they are wobbly, feel incredibly unstable and I wish they had a "landing" at the top. For those of us with recent knee replacements the risers are very steep... Very steep. Also the steps on the inside of the pool are very narrow unlike those on the outside. I'd much rather someone build curvy, graduated steps... Almost ramp-like access in the outside and wider steps on the inside. Because the risers are so ... read more steep, I simply can't use them with my knees. Maybe someday I'll be able to, but not yet. So I get to sit and watch everyone else play.

      Stable and Looks Good !
We've had these steps for a few years now. They are stable and good looking. NO problem getting in or out and my husband has 2 bad knees and a bad back. Self latching locking gate is exactly what we needed.

More About Above Ground Pool Steps & Above Ground Pool Ladders

Above ground pool steps and ladders are important pool equipment for the safety of pool users and pets. In The Swim offers a variety of steps and ladders for every above ground pool owner’s budget, whether or not your pool has a full or partial pool deck

For above ground pools without a deck, a two-sided ladder like the Roll Guard A-frame safety ladder and the Evolution A-frame safety ladder are useful necessities. Take a 'step-up' in quality and size with two-sided pool step systems that feature an outside safety gate such as the Deluxe Entry System or the Combo Step Entry System that combines wide and sturdy stairs outside the pool, and a thick yet unobtrusive ladder inside the pool. Double sided pool A-frame ladders are weighted with sand or pebbles, to sit solidly on the pool floor and stay firmly in place.

For above ground pools with a deck, you can use the single pool ladder or the wider and safer pool steps, connected to your pool deck. For above ground pool ladders, look at the Heavy Duty In-Pool Ladder, or the 5-Step Stainless Steel pool ladders. Above ground pool steps are selected from 4 models, including the popular Staircase Steps and the elegant Curve Step System. Weighted pool steps connect to your pool deck and make a stable way for kids and adults to enter and exit the pool safely. Pool steps or stairs also make a great place to sit in the pool!

Vinyl Works and Confer above ground pool ladders and steps are made from roto-molded thermoplastics, designed to be easily assembled and quickly installed, with all parts and complete instructions included. The most cost-efficient models include the single pool ladder that attaches to your pool deck or a double sided pool ladder for above ground pools without a deck. The more expensive models include locking safety gates, wide and deep treads and platform, solid handrails, and weight ratings of up to 300 lbs. Using a ladder pad or step pad is recommended to protect your pool liner.
