Rated 5 out of 5 by from Granny tested I built them in one day. I needed a friend to help lift the one half into the pool. They were a little heavy to adjust the height once I got them in the pool. There was a learning curve about getting them good and level, so that the two staircases can be attached with good stability. The "non-entrapment step facing" and "the skids" on the bottom of both sides should be installed outside of the pool, and secured with a little tape until you have the steps installed well. Once the stairs are in you will not be able to adjust the liner, so be completely ready to place the steps where you want them. Mom/Granny went swimming today and did great. She was fully in control all the way into the pool and all the way out to the sidewalk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy These stairs do come with the safety gate even though the product description states that it can be purchased separately. These stairs are very well built and seem like they will last for a very long time. They are also very nice looking compared to the cheaper stairs. The only cons were the pirce and the fact that putting them together was a bit of a pain. It takes two people minimally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item We just brought this double stair system because we have an elderly person with limited mobility. These steps work amazingly well for him and also for our overweight friends and family. Extremely easy to assemble. Most of it snaps together. Assembled and in the pool in about two hours. Couldn't say enough about this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great steps- works well- what a job to winterize! This is my second set of confer steps. The first lasted for eight years and showed signs of splitting so I went for a second set, which is quite different from the first set. The new one is much more stable and has to be screwed together once the water steps are in the water. Getting the steps out of the water is an awful process- they are filled with water, very heavy and it is more than a two person job. The first set of steps could have come out still assembled to each other. Not with these- so there is a 100 plus pounds of steps floating around my above ground pool- just be aware that the steps work great when assembled and are an awful job when winterizing your pool.
