Affordable In-ground Winter Cover Works the Same As Expensive Ones

There’s no rule that says you have to spend a lot of money to get a decent winter cover for your pool. In fact, our 16x32 pro-strength polar winter pool cover is proof that good pool protection can be found at an inexpensive price that will fit your budget.

The rectangular affordable winter cover keeps dirt and debris out of your in-ground pool, protector your pool’s liner and finish as well as helping make your spring opening easier and faster. A black bottom layer on the high-density polyethylene cover blocks sunlight from reaching the water, therefore preventing algae blooms throughout the winter.

    • Our affordable in-ground winter cover withstands temperatures down to -50 degrees
    • Cover is protected from damaging UV rays and pool chemicals
    • Polyethylene construction is triple dipped for extra strong layers
    • Heat sealed seams provide extra strength to the cover, prevent water from leaking into your pool
    • Please order by your pool size, not cover size; Winter cover is designed to be larger than your pool
    • Winter covers with left, right and center steps sections are available
    • 10 Year limited warranty, 2 year full warranty

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for!!! Bought this cover thinking with a 10 year warranty it should be fairly decent, boy was I wrong. Very thin, 2 water tube straps tore off already and worst of all it is very small. The box said the correct size but there's hardly enough room for the water tubes to hold the cover in place. If you're looking for a new cover spend the extra money and get the next size larger and one that's thicker. I doubt very much that the cover is strong enough to hold a small water pump. Sometimes a longer warranty isn't always better. Also it was supposed to be next day delivery but I only received the cover 6 days after ordering it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No difference I have bought the cheap winter cover for the past 10 years, no difference in the covers, except the price, and the guarantee you are paying extra for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It fit, but no extra. I got a new liner and decided to get a new winter cover. I had a tan cover I paid more , that lasted since 2008. This was so much lighter then the old one,so I don't think it will last, making them cheaper made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to follow I purchased a cover and chemicals for our inground pool. The packages came on the delivery date. I would order again from you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light Weight The good news is that it does not weigh much. That can be the bad news. I use an older cover on the top to protect it from the sun and if you are careful it will last for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as advertised I bought this last summer for 2014 closing and the cover was not the size as advertised. Length was 1 1/2 foot shorter and the width was 10 inches shorter. They replaced it with another one this simmer for 2015 closing and it's still short. Makes it necessary to monitor water level all winter so water bags don't get pulled in. The manufacturer is not sending what's advertised. In the Swim does nothing to remedy the problem with the covers. If you can and have the room, buy the next size up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good The quality was good for the price, it was a little short for the pool. It didn't cover the stairs, had enough length on the sides but our stairs are at the end. We would have to order an extra 3 ft to have made it long enough. But we also had ordered a leaf catchin net so when combined the pool was covered enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good service, good product The customer service on my order of pool cover was just as described... one day delivery. Pool cover is as described in catalog. All these tarps are getting thinner and lighter but provide needed protection over winter. I just bought this one so can not say how it holds up through several years. I'm not disappointed with my purchase.

      Installation Tips
5 THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN INSTALLING YOUR WINTER COVER

      1. Be sure to buy the right size cover for your pool. You should not stretch your cover across the pool in an attempt to make it fit. Refer to the diagram below.

      2. Covers from In The Swim are made to have rain water accumulate on top of them. This water will not damage your cover. Excessive water can be periodically pumped from the cover, but be sure to leave approximately 1 inch of water to protect the cover from wind damage. Be sure not to place the pump on a seam when draining water, as this will cause water from your pool to be drained.

      3. In The Swim covers will accommodate a maximum 18 inch water drop below the top edge of your pool. If you normally drop your cover more than 18 inches, you should order a larger size cover.

      4. Do not use bricks or sharp blocks to weigh your cover down. In The Swim recommends using water tubes or aqua blocks for in-ground pools and cover clips or wall bags for above-ground pools.

      5. If you tie your cover to a fence or other permanent structure, be sure to use a flexible bungie cord. This will allow the cover to shift as snow and ice accumulate without pulling out the corner tabs or straps. Water tubes, aqua blocks, cover clips or wall bags should still be used.
