Operating off a booster pump, the Polaris 380 automatic pool cleaner is separate from your pool filtration system, letting the filter work along with the pool cleaner for added efficiency. A unique filter bag on the Polaris 380 captures the debris is sucks up, preventing it from ever reaching your pool pump basket, reducing the number of times your pool filter needs cleaning and extends its lifespan.

      • The Polaris 380 pressure-side pool cleaner features three jets for enhanced suction power
      • The pool pressure cleaner will scrub the walls and floor of any-sized in-ground pool
      • Operates off separate booster pump, leaving your filter system to operate while the pool is clean

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans Pool Quickly Have had this for 1 season in an inground vinyl liner pool and it does the job. Cleans walls and inclines with ease. Only problem was we had to buy 2 and return one as first was defective but was not an issue overall. As long as your pool is setup for one it's just a matter of unboxing and being sure you have the correct flow guage attached ( comes with 2 ). The instructions are included to properly choose the correct one. Connect to the dedicated Pool cleaner exhaust port on the pool, besure the MAIN pump is on, turn on the Polaris pump and your good to go. When done, turn off the Polaris pump and then if needed the main pump. One tip: If your Polaris does a wheelie, rotate the float on the neck so it adheres to the pool bottom. I recommend this as of 1 season of use so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the $ If you're debating between the 360 and the 380, the 380 is worth the extra $. We have a 46,000 gallon pool and live with a lot of trees and this one does the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good pool maintenance This my third Polaris (in 25 yrs ) It is efficient and easy to maintain. occasional hang-up on the ladder is not a problem. I have not used it, but there is a diversion device that will prevent the hang-up.The Polaris keeps the pool clean even following wind storms and in the fall. It is a product worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SECOND ONE JUST UPGRADED TO THE 380 FROM THE 360, THIS IS MY SECOND POLARIS, THEY DO A GREAT JOB, EASY TO USE, AND HANDLE. IT WILL CLEAN THE WHOLE POOL- SIDES, STEPS, AND BOTTOM. THE ONLY WAY IT COULD BE ANY BETTER IS IF IT WOULD CRAWL OUT OF THE POOL AND CLEAN THE DECK.

How many feet of hose does it have?
      – The Polaris 380 has 30 feet of feed hose.

Why does it hang up on steps or other obstacles for longer than 3 minutes?
      – Check the wheel RPM.
      – Verify the back-up valve is cycling.
      – Adjust the thrust jet.
      – Remove unnecessary pool hardware or install a Ladder Guard Kit.

Why is my Polaris sluggish, running with less power than normal?
      – Check the filter screen in the Quick Disconnect and clean, if necessary.
      – Clean the skimmer basket; pump basket, and pool filter.
      – Check all of the hoses, connections, and swivels for leaks that could cause loss of water pressure.
      – Check the wheel RPM.

Why does my Polaris fly around the pool and/or does not make contact with the bottom?
      – Check the wheel RPM. If more than 32 RPM, unscrew the pressure relief valve to decrease water flow to cleaner.
      – Confirm that the blue restrictor disc is installed in the UWF to decrease water flow. Or, install the red restrictor disc to decrease water flow even more.
      – Verify the back-up valve is cycling. Hold the valve out of the water and watch the jet. It should come on and go off.

Why does my Polaris not back up?
      – Verify the back-up valve is cycling.
      – Check the wheel RPM.
      – If the bag is full, empty it.
      – If head float has water in it, replace it.
      – Make sure feed hose is floating.

Why does my Polaris only turn in one direction?
      – Adjust the thrust jet.
      – Make sure feed hose is floating.

Why does the feed hose become tangled?
      – Remeasure the hose to verify that it is adjusted to the proper length for the pool shape.
      – With the Polaris operating, check that the swivels in the hose and the hose connections turn freely.
      – Make sure feed hose is floating.
      – With the Polaris turned off, spin each of the wheels. All wheels should turn together.

Why does the cleaner not clean the entire pool?
      – Check the hose length reaches within 6" of the farthest point of the pool. If not, order a new hose section.
      – Check thrust jet for 11:00 position that optimizes random turning.
      – While the cleaner is operating, hold it upside down and look into the vacuum tube. There should be three distinct, even jets of water. If there are not, contact Polaris Customer Service (800-822-7933).

Why is the cleaner running in circles on its side?
      – Check filter bag, if full it can weigh the cleaner down on one side.
      – Remove the head float and shake it. If there is water in the float, order a new one.
      – Check the hose floats to make sure they are spaced evenly.

      Polaris 380 Literature

Designed for people who believe cleaning should be performed regularly, thoroughly, and never, ever by a human being.

You love having a pool, but hate cleaning it. After 35 years in the pool equipment business, no one understands this better than Polaris. That's why we built the Polaris Vac Sweep 380, the most powerful and durable automatic cleaning system in the world. Your in-ground pool will receive complete care in three hours or less, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it.

Its Powerful Booster Pump is the Difference
The 380 runs off its own booster pump, working independently from the rest of your pool system. This enables the 380's three jets to provide greater vacuum power and faster cleaning. The 380 vacuums, sweeps and scrubs the bottom and walls of any size or shape pool, be it gunite, fiberglass or vinyl-lined. The large bottom opening picks up debris like leaves, acorns and pebbles.

      It's Easier on Your Filter
The Polaris 380 is one of the few cleaners powered by the pressure of clean water returning to your pool. Its unique filter bag removes any debris before it reaches your pump basket or filter. This alone can reduce filter cleanings by up to 80% a year, thus prolonging the life of your filtration system. With the 380, your filter is free to cleanse the water and your skimmer is ready to clean the top six inches of your pool, where 75% of the bacteriological contaminants live.
