As the swimming season draws to a close and winter approaches, it's important to take certain steps to protect your swimming pool. Proper swimming pool winterization involves the use of swimming pool antifreeze to protect your pool plumbing from freezing temperatures. In the Swim offers non-toxic pool antifreeze which is highly effective yet completely safe to use.

Our non-toxic pool antifreeze can be used on all of your swimming pool plumbing and is very easy and convenient to use. When you use our propylene glycol swimming pool antifreeze, you can feel confident that your pool plumbing will be protected from freeze damage and you will not have to worry about bursting underground pipes. Use our pool antifreeze during your winterization routine, to protect your swimming pool pipes all winter long.

Glycol antifreeze releases into the pool without any hazard to the swimmers. Make sure that you only use Propylene Glycol as a swimming pool anti-freeze. Using Ethylene Glycol is hazardous, and combines with chlorine to produce toxic hydrocarbons, even at very low amounts.

To use our pool antifreeze to prevent frozen pipes, pour antifreeze into the skimmer, or plug the lines at the pool and use a hose and siphon to introduce the antifreeze into the pipes from the pipe that enters into the pump. Open the pump lid and place the end of the hose into the pipe coming into the pump, and pour the pool antifreeze into the hose, with the help of a large funnel. You can also disassemble incoming valves, to pour the antifreeze into the pipes directly at the skimmer, main drain or return valves.

Our non-toxic swimming pool antifreeze will not harm pipes or plastics, but could damage pump seals, so it's best not to pour the antifreeze directly into the pump. Remove the drain plugs from your pump and filter (and heater) to drain the aboveground equipment completely, then pour antifreeze into the pipes. Pool antifreeze is heavier than water and will seek a lower level than water it is poured into.

Don't pour antifreeze directly into your pool! It won't have much effect in keeping the pool from freezing. Pool antifreeze is used to protect plumbing from freeze damage, and is added as a part of your pool winterization process.

Other uses for our non-toxic swimming pool antifreeze:

      • Pour into skimmers, on top of your plugs, to keep rain water from freezing.
      • Use in R.V.'s as an RV antifreeze, to protect the pipes.
      • Use in boats or marine vessels to keep bilge areas from freezing.
      • Protects outdoor toilets and bath house sinks.
