Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are good steps! I see alot of you had the same trouble my husband and I did when we put these steps together! Folks, I want to say these steps need to be pounded together!!!.. we used a piece of wood and regular hammer and pounded on it til all pieces snapped together. You need to do one side at a time . YES .. at first it was falling apart.. but once we got each piece to snap in place it was easy, Read directions carefully on these steps. As far as the sand?? Use a long neck funnel . Worked great for us.. the ladder is in our pool and we haven't had any issues and is nice and sturdy!! In fact, I have to say... I love them! ! Good Luck all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from garbage I put the ladder together and used the mallot it said to use to put the connections together, it seemed ok until I put it in the pool and it fell apart. I then took it out and assembled it once again put in back in the pool and after 1 hour it fell apart again. Went to lowes and bought 3 1/4"threaded rods and drilled holes on each side and put the rods through them to secure the steps. Now the ladders fine because I had to improvise on how to stop them from falling apart. the technology that was used to come up with this ladder is terrible. I would never recommed this product to anyone. I was terribly upset of what I had to go through to make the ladder safe

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junky Mighty Steps I bought the Mighty Steps because I thought they looked nice and would be easy to put in and take out of the pool. I thought filling the sides with sand was a great idea...no heavy blocks or sandbags like the cake tier steps and less bulky. In fact they are made of cheap plastic, they were a pain to put together and a big pain to fill with sand, and then you have to fill them with water on top of that. The holes to put the sand in were very inconvienently placed. I also did not like the writing all over all of the steps. I will use them this year since I paid the money for them (very high for the quality), but will probably end up going back to using the cake tier steps next year. I DON'T recommend these steps at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Steps I am a 68 year old man and somewhat overweight. I was having trouble getting in and out of my pool because the steps I had were so narrow. I saw these steps and thought I would give them a try. They were a bit hard to get together at first but once I got the hang of it, it went very quickly. Made a funnel out of a paper plate and the sand went in easily. Once you get them into the water they are very sturdy. I have no trouble using them. I am going to purchase another set for the other end of my pool.
