      Rated 5 out of 5 by from great item I had one like this and it became hard and brittle and fell apart, bottom, so looked at local stores but they were out of stock so searched here and they had it. In the heat here, Arizona, they dry out so got two so would be prepared. The previous one lasted over 5 years so was made of good material.

      Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so "free" shipping I wish companies would not advertise free shipping and then at check-out tack on a handling fee which just so happens to be about the same amount as a shipping charge. Hmmm.........Along with the floating chlorinator I also purchased 50lbs of 3" chlorine tabs. Why in the world do they have to be individually wrapped? Half the bags were burst open anyway and it makes working with this product hazardous because of the amount of handling that is required.

      Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't hold up. By the end of the first season, the adjuster dial had broken & the lid "lips" were gone. Lid will not stay on at all & I don't toss it in. (No kids left at home to damage it)

When I tossed it in the pool, the lid popped out, and the tablet fell at the bottom of the pool. Having a vinyl liner, I had to get in the water wearing street clothes to recover the tablet. Okay, maybe I thought I should not have tossed. My mistake. The next day, the chlorinator got a good bump, and the lid just popped open. This time, the tablet stayed inside. Maybe I should be careful not to bump this floater. One morning, I noticed the lid came off again and didn't know why. Several days later, I observed that as it gets close to the return outlet, if the chlorinator tilts about 45 degrees, the lid pops out. The locking mechanism is a joke. float fills with water. not an item I would ever buy !!!
