Rated 4 out of 5 by RayH from Works great but over priced I will second both Jackman and Pool mom's review! Its does the job great when the fingers are pre-rinsed with a conventional hose nozzle then soaked in a mix of water & H.E. (high efficiency) laundry detergent, The HE detergent does a great job de-greasing the the DE fingers without using harsh chemicals, before using the DE cleaning tool. You can either make the solution in the bottom half of the tank if both backwash and pump ports are caped and placed the top part w/fingers as it normally sits when in use or in a garbage pail that is either cleaned or lined with a plastic bag then let fingers soak for a few hours! Just make sure it is thoroughly rinsed before re-assembly! The results are the fingers will appear brand new!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pool mom from Awesome! Really works :) I bought this item because it was the first thing i have seen on the market for cleaning my DE pool filter. I have used it a handfull of times now and love it, it does a great job at cleaning each of the flex tubes. I admit the first time i used it i thought it was tedious cleaning each one. Now that i have used it a few times i find it's easier then jet spraying it with the hose, it takes less time, and you get less wet because your not getting sprayback from the hose. The reason i only gave it 4 stars was for how its made. The tube is plastic, though heavy duty i still wonder how long it will hold up. For $50 they could have used something a little better but then again it could last a long time since you dont have to use it all that often. Also the handle is a rough metal and gets a little hard on your hands after holding it a while, espcially for someone with arthritis. Easily solved by wrapping a hand towel around the handle while using it. But again for $50 they could have added a more comfortable grip. All in all i find the purchase to be worth the money :)
