Perform-Max™ Chemical Feeder Cuts Pool Maintenance Time

Spend less time maintaining your pool and more time enjoying it with the Perform-Max™ chemical feeder. Made for in-line sanitization systems, this feeder can be used to evenly distribute chlorine or bromine and holds up to 7 pounds of sanitization sticks or pucks at one time.

The Perform-Max’s patented performance valve directs water flow to the puck or stick on the bottom of the feeder only, making it easier to maintain the desired amount of sanitation and making the feeder more efficient and exact than a soaker feeder. Combined with multiple setting options, this feeder will keep your pool clean and clear without the hassle of constantly checking your chlorine levels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Save everything, time, your liner, hair I had a guest in our pool play with the chlorine 'bobber and ended up flipping it over and all the 3 inch tabs sank to the bottom where they ate away at the liner all night until I spotted it the next day when the cover came off. Either no more guests in the pool or something had to be done. This feeder solves a lot of problems and is relatively inexpensive. I do find that it would be nice to have some kind of indicator that it is empty because removing the lid to find out it isn't is a pain and coming home from vacation to find out your pool has zero chlorine in it because it ran out on day 2 is a bummer. A clear molded window in the side or a pop up button...something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This is great, I travel alot and when I get ready to leave for the week, I fill it and set to the number I want and don't have to worry about coming back home and the pool is green. the top is easy to open, this is my second one, the first one I got from a local pool place and after a while I could not get the top open. I would recoment this to everyone, if you want an easy to use system. worth the money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever Best purchase ever in regards to chemical feeders. The others we had before used a cartridge that was often difficult to line up with the method of delivery (frog) in the bottom of the feeder, let alone what do you do with the extra 3/4 of a cartridge at the end of the season. Even wrapping in several layers doesn't keep the chemical from rusting other items in the storage area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less to worry about Last year, the kids in the pool knocked out the floating chemical feeder and I didn't notice it was missing when I put the solar cover back on. 2 days later the water was clouded over. Now I don't have to worry about the kids knocking it out of the pool (let alone play with it) and the chlorine levels stay constant. Only have to fill once a week to every other week.

Is your chlorine reading above 3ppm?

      • To alleviate the over chlorination and start fresh, remove the chlorine source. Store chlorine away from children, pets or other chemicals. Run the unit empty until the chlorine reading had dipped to 1ppm. Reinsert your chlorine and follow the directions for achieving the correct dial setting for your pool.

Could your unit be improperly installed?

      • Pump size: for best performance, the pump should be rated for between 40 and 60 gpm. The control dial setting chart contains NR (Not Recommended) if the pump size is considered too large or too small for your size pool.
      • Eyeball Fitting in Return Jet. For best performance the backpressure on the sanitation unit should be between 3-8 psi. High back pressure means high water level inside the unit so more tablets are wetted. Changing to a larger eyeball fitting will correct this.

Could you have a defective or broken part?

      • Although a part is seldom the reason for over chlorination, if no other reason is found there are two parts that should be checked at this point:
        • A pressure relief valve is installed inside your unit at the base. It is a clear plastic piece approximately 1 inch long with a plug in the center and two arms attached to pegs. Check to see if it is loose or missing. This provides another avenue for water to reach the chlorine if loose or missing replace.
        • The control dial could have a small crack that is allowing more water to enter per setting. You can pull the dial out and check. If okay, lubricate the o-rings and replace. If cracked or damaged, replace.

Could your hours of filtration (pump run time) per day be too many for your pool size?

      • The proper dial setting is important for maintaining the correct chlorine level. See your Manual. For directions on how to achiever the correct setting. Quick Guide: begin with 1ppm chlorine residual in the pool after shocking. Then add chlorine to your unit and use the charge in your manual for an initial dial setting by lining you your pool size, pump size in horsepower, and filtration time per day. Set the dial and monitor daily until the level remains within your within your desired chlorine level. Increase or decrease the dial setting by ½ increments only per day until the proper setting is reached.

      More Performance!
Perform-Max™ Feeders bring you the best in bulk chlorine or bromine feeding. No other bulk feeder offers erosion technology with exact metering capabilities. The Perform-Max™ Feeders are the only feeders with the patented Performance Valve™ that performs on cue, responding accurately to each adjustment in its wide range of settings.

      More Technology!
The Performance Valve allows water to continuously erode only the bottom layer of chemical. When a small area of chemical is eroded, you can maintain output much easier than when an entire chemical supply gets wet (like in soaker feeders).

      More Options!
Perform-Max™ Feeders can be used with chlorine or bromine - pucks, tablets or sticks - up to holding 7 pounds of chemicals.
