Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst purchase ever This backwash hose (product number A2335) is absolutely the worst backwash hose I have ever purchased. I purchased the 100 feet product on May 27, 2009 and it has repeatedly broke/ripped along the flat edges. I now have at least ten pieces of this hose in various lengths. I was prepping my pool last night for closing and the hose kept springing leaks - could not use this hose to finish the job. Fortunately, I had kept my old hose (at least 8-10 years old) and was able to use it to finish draining water. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE!!! TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Although I am usually quite pleased with my purchases from In the Swim, I was extremely dissatisfied with this one. The "backwash hose" that arrived was packaged in the correct box, but was not a hose at all; it was a rigid piece of rolled up plastic which had no opening at either end. When I called customer service, the associate kept telling me to "work the ends" to which I responded I have owned a pool for 15 years and know what a backwash hose looks like and never had to work so hard to open the ends (which had no opening anyway). What I received does not look the hose that is pictured on the site. It took several weeks to receive the refund after I returned it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality hose The materials that they use for this hose now, (pvc/plastic?) makes for a poor quality product. The hose is very difficult to work with when trying to put over the pvc discharge pipe from your filter. The hose has very little give or stretch and splits easily at the seam when hooking up. Then, after two months of use, the seams where the hose folds flat, are all splitting. This of course causes it to leak everywhere. I was told it only has a 30 day warranty, which makes the two hoses I purchased a total waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 100 foot back wash hose DO NOT buy this. It is thin and cheap and the first time I used it, it kinked up so badly that it blew the seam open and flooded the area (inside my garage) next to my filter. I cut the bad part off and hooked it up again, but it is so thin that I noticed as I walked down my driveway inspecting it that it had sprung leaks all along the seams from the water pressure. Bottom line is that this material is too thin to be used as a backwash hose. I have returned it and am now waiting for a refund.
