Aquachek water test strips are fast and easy to use and yet are highly accurate. When using Aquachek test strips, simply dip a test strip into your pool water for one second, remove it and wait 15 seconds. Then all you have to do is compare the color on the Aquachek strip to the color chart provided on the label. It's as easy as that!

Not only are Aquachek test strips simple to use, it's also believed that they provide greater accuracy than liquid test kits because they are so easy to use and require little technique. Furthermore, there are Aquachek pool water test strips available to test a number of different swimming pool water conditions.

With Aquachek water test strips, keeping your pool water sparking clean is extremely easy and convenient. Why mess around with troublesome liquid drop tests when you can enjoy the simplicity and safety of Aquachek pool water test strips?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7 Aqua Test Strips The strips are great and relatively inexpensive for what you get. They are easy to use and work quickly. When I took my water into the store they found the same results that my test strips showed. I used to use the little bottles of liquid and always had a hard time reading the results. These strips are right on. I am having trouble now that the color chart faded. The color chart comes in a clear plastic case that is attached to the bottle but even though I had the bottle under the bench and out of the direct light, they faded.I would like to be able to copy/print out a copy of the color chart but am unable to find a copy of it on line. Overall I would buy it again and copy the color chart before the season begins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Testing Easy These strips are great. I no longer feel like a chemist messing around with different bottles of solutions to figure out my levels. Just dip wait a few seconds a see what your levels are and they have a nice chart for matching colors. The only one that is a bit sketchy is the PH level although you know when you are at 6.8 it is just hard to tell the difference between 7.2 and 7.6 which doesn't really matter since both of those levels are good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate Readings Test strips seem to be giving an accurate reading. I do not have anything to compare against but the pool water looks awesome It was a little cloudy; the test strip was showing me low on chlorine. I added the chlorine the test strip read good for pool and the water is sparkling now.

    • Test strips expire after one year.

    • How accurate are they?
      – Test strips are at minimum comparable in accuracy to liquid color comparator tests. Because test strips require less user technique, we believe they actually deliver greater accuracy.

What information supports the accuracy of test strips?
      – Our test strips are manufactured and released against standard reference procedures from the 17th Edition of Standard Methods For the Examination of Water and Waste Water.

      Is DPD more accurate?
      – No. DPD can be affected by interferences, such as an over-abundance of monochloramines or potassium monopersulfate (used for shock-treating pools.) These can give a false positive reading for free chlorine with the DPD chemistry. Recognized technical studies are available to support these claims.

      What is the shelf life?
      – Test strips average 24 months dating from the time of manufacture, with the exception of AquaChek Silver and AquaChek Green for Cyanuric Acid. These two strips have an average shelf life of 18 months.

Can more values for each test be added to color charts?
      – Yes. However there would not be enough color differentiation between the values. This would make it difficult for the user to make a decision when comparing the test strip to the color patches on the label.

Do I need to test as frequently with test strips?
      – Yes. We suggest testing both ends of the pool a minimum of 2 times per week, and spas before each use.

Can test strips be used after the expiration date?
      – No. Test strips should be discarded when the expiration date on the bottle label is reached. This ensures the user they are getting reliable results.

Are test strips less accurate after the expiration date?
      – If the test strips are handled and stored properly, they should give reliable results through the expiration date on the bottle label. It is impossible to determine how reliable the results will be after the expiration date has passed.

      Troubleshooting:

Testing strips are not giving accurate readings:
      – Check the expiration date on the bottle to verify that the strips are still good.
      – Check the remaining strips for signs of exposure to moisture; this would cause the strips to give inaccurate readings.

I can’t understand what the strip is telling me:
      – The strips are color coded and the chart is listed on the bottle. Have the customer refer to the color chart on the bottle to match the colors up to the readings.
