Rated 1 out of 5 by from should be out of business cleaner has worked great for several years - stopped moving on it's own - only company in the united states that services this unit is in new jersey - cost me $40 to send the cleaner to new jersey - they kept unit for two weeks and finally contacted me and told me it was going to cost $570 to fix the unit - i told them do not fix the unit and send it back to me - they said it would cost me $35 to get my unit back - extremely poor unit and extremely poor customer service!!! - buyers beware of purchasing an aquabot product - you will not be happy with their customer service dept - my advise is to purchase a unit that can be serviced locally

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed For the price of this vacuum I expected more. It does clean the water line really well; climbs well. But the bottom doesn't get covered (I can see why the more expensive model has a remote control!). It gets stuck on ladders, pool drain, steps, corners - anything that isn't flat. Does not get the angles, where the pool bottom meets the incline to the wall. The filter bag is clumbsy to remove and re-install, but cleans well in the gentle cycle of the washing machine. It has kept our pool very clean this summer, but does require supervision; I have a couple of nicks in the cord where it has gotten wrapped up in the machine. I would highly recommend not leaving this machine alone to do it's job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pool Cleaner I have owned my Aquabot for 4 years now, the ease of use is wonderful. After my initial opening cleaning, I never have to vacuum by hand the rest of the year. I have a 20' x 40' pool and it cleans it in about 4 hours. I am always amazed by how much debris it removes, every little particle is removed. I have also noticed that since using the Aquabot my water balance stays extremely stable, I think because it removes all the little particles that you just can't see.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not perform as described I paid the high price for this after reading many other reviews and was very disappointed for the following reasons; - My pool is 16'x32' and even though I keep it covered, start and end the season with a brush down and filtered vacuum, it still does not clean it, maybe 40%. - It gets stalled so I have to take it out every couple of hours to empty and rinse the bag, which is not an easy process it is gross and hard to get into the cracks and crevices with the bags design. - It is heavy and awkward to pull out of the water and requires a mat so it does not get scraped on the coping. - Within 2 years I had to replace the tracks (the tabs break off) and the belt drive, add another $100+ dollars. - I have rounded edges in my pool and it will get stuck trying to climb them so I have to keep an eye on it.

How do you hook up the AQUABOT?
      – This cleaner comes with a Power Supply Box that has a 3-prong plug. The plug gets plugged into a ground outlet. The cleaner has a floating cord and the end of the cord gets plugged into the Power Supply Box. You drop the cleaner on the opposite side of the pool then the Power Supply Box. Go back to the Power Box and ON/OFF switch the box to ON position and press the reset button and the cleaner starts working.
Can I keep the Power Supply Box by the poolside?
      –  NO!  The power supply must be placed in a dry, sheltered area at least 12 feet away from the pool. Since the Power Supply is water resistant, NOT WATER PROOF, it should not be left out in the rain or placed in puddles of water
Why would I need the mesh filter bag?
      – For big clean ups of larger debris, such as leaves, acorns, twigs and pine needles. The fine mesh filter bag may clog up faster and require more cleanings.
How do you know when to clean your filter bag?
      – When the Aquabot slows down so that it constantly reverses direction before reaching the sides of the pool, it is sending a signal that it is time to clean the filter bag.

How do I clean my filter bags?
      – Simply use a garden hose to rinse it and replace.
      – For a complete cleaning, bags can be machine washed with a detergent such as “Cheer”.
How do you remove the AQUABOT from the pool?
      – Turn off the power supply by pressing the ON/OFF switch to off. Unplug the Floating Cable from the Power Supply. Gently pull the Aquabot toward you using the Floating cable. **Removing the cleaner by its Floating cable may cause severe damage to the cable.
      – Remove the Aquabot from the water using its handle.
      – Rest the Aquabot on its side to allow water to drain from the unit.
      – Clean and re-install the filter bag. Then rest the Aquabot on its side in a dry, shaded area along with its Power Supply and properly coil the floating cable.
Can I keep my AQUABOT in the pool?
      – No! Never leave it in the pool? The Aquabot is primarily made of plastic and rubber. The pool’s chemicals will eat away at the cleaner and cause pre-mature part deterioration.
How do I store the AQUABOT at the end of season?
      – Thoroughly clean both filter bags, make sure that there is no water in the Aquabot, completely untangle and then properly coil the Floating Cord. Your Aquabot and Power supply should be stored in a dry, protected area.

As a result of the Aquabot's heavy-duty pumping action, the pool's bottom water is circulated and forced to the surface, raising the overall water temperature and creating a more equal distribution of chemicals that would normally settle to the floor of the pool.

Operating the Aquabot is as simple as dropping it into your pool and plugging it in. It does the rest itself. The Aquabot is safe and easy to use, operating only only 24 volts (the equivelant of three radio batteries) and costing less than about 25 cents a day to run.

The Aquabot requires little or no maintenance. The Aqubot is constructed of corrosion-proof materials and has fewer than 10 moving parts.
