      Eliminated My Yellow Algae
We have a 15,000 gallon 16 year old concrete pool that needs to be refinished because it has corroded over the years from chemical use which creates the perfect environment for algae growth. We had mustard algea pretty much everywhere with a concentration on the sides and steps. The Super Algeacide and Super Shock totally eliminated it! It took a lot of elbow grease (brushing and vacuuming), but after a couple days and almost the entire bottle of Super Algeacide over the course of thee days, it ... read more is gone and has remained gone! Last summer I spent much more $ at our local pool supply store buying products to eliminate the mustard algea. Great product and great price!

      Pool shock
This pool shock worked okay I use it for opening my pool in spring for some reason that no one can tell me why it takes cases and cases of liquid shock to get the water to read any chorine on the test strip so this year I mixed the shock some liquid some granular it still took a whole lot of shock

      Easy to use shock
Helps keep the pool clean and sanitary. I mix it with water in a bucket briefly before throwing it into the pool.

      Great for smaller pools
I've been using this product for years in a vinyl lined 9,700 gal. pool. Regular chlorine shock runs the chlorine level up too high for swimming for over 24 hours, but with this product we can swim the next day. (I usually shock late in the evening.) Also, it doesn't bleach the liner. But if the pool gets infected with algae, you need chlorine shock.

      Fast accting
I used many other pool shock products and was disappointed, some left residue that forced me to vacuum entire pool, then I had to wait for chlorine count to come down -usually 24 hours, when I switched to chlorine free shock I don't have to worry about these issues, this product does what it supposed to do with no "side effects" could enter the clear water in my pool several minutes after application

      Excellent Compliment for Chlorine Users
I learned this from several pool chemistry experts, plus through use over years. If you use chlorine to general purpose sanitize your pool, this is an excellent complimentary shock treatment. It disperses well and you will not have any where near as long of a wait time as super-shocking with chlorine to keep the kids/guests out of the pool. Individual packets are a plus, but it is more costly than chlorine. It's worth it as an alternative shock.

Bought to help in the management of our salt system pool after having the same recommended by the pool supply where a water sample was taken which is about 29 miles one way.

      BETTER THEN CHLORINE
I retired from an Oil Refinery and know how dangerous Chlorine is to our bodies. Even when I showered at work, I put a showerhead on the shower to filter it out. We have well water and don't have to worry about it at home. After much research, I found that Peroxide a great alternative for our pool and spa but, that it is also very good for the body. You don't have the after swim chlorine smell, it doesn't sting your eyes and does just as good as chlorine. We are very glad that we switched to peroxide.

      Perfect
Could not get clear water at all.....did everything...all my levels were where they should be..... I purchased this with some trepidation..... didn't want to spend the money, what if it didn't work? We'll, it did! Took a few days....then Bam! Crystal Clear! and has been since..... Worth it!!!

      Worked Wonderfully!
I had tried everything for weeks on end to turn our cloudy pull water clear. One dose of Cloud Out cleared it right up.

      Great Value
This product works perfectly and is exactly the same as you would find in your local pool supply store at 1/2 the cost. I’ve now invested in several chemicals from In The Swim with the same results I’ve always had with Bio Guard. I’ve found that the name just doesn’t matter. It’s just a matter of matching up the chemical makeup in the products offered here and the same results are achieved at a much lower cost.

    Shock Treatments for Swimming Pools

Granular pool shock treatments are a convenient way to sanitize and disinfect pool water. Used in small amounts, our pool shock can raise chlorine levels quickly for a pool found to be lacking. In larger amounts, pool shock will easily super-chlorinate or hyper-chlorinate pools for removal of cloudy water, chloramines, disinfectant by-products, and all types of bacteria, virus and microbes found in pool water.

The Many Types of Pool Shock

    •  - Di-Zap Multi Shock is stabilized, and can be used daily in pools, spas and fountains without calcium build-up.
    •  - Pool Shock and Super Pool Shock from In The Swim is suitable for all purposes, sold in bags and buckets.
    •  - Non-Chlorine pool shock does everything that pool shock does, with exception to killing heavy algae blooms.

The Many Uses for Pool Shock

    •  - Restores clarity to cloudy pool water
    •  - Kills pool algae strains of all types
    •  - Sanitizes to destory bacteria of all types
    •  - Removes chloramines and other chlorine byproducts
    •  - Breaks down organic and non-organic matter, and bather waste
    •  - Raises chlorine levels quickly when found to be near zero
    •  - Removes stains on plaster, pebble and fiberglass pools

    Where's the Lithium Shock?

Lithium pool shock is no longer available, due to a worldwide shortage of the raw element Lithium. Lithium prices have risen steadily over the past ten years, driven by high demand for Lithium, used in Lithium Ion batteries from everything from wrist watches to electric vehicles. The price increases in 2016 finally reached a tipping point, where manufacturers stopped producing Lithium Hypochlorite. The best substitute for Lithium pool shock is non-chlorine pool shock, in terms of having the most similar features. Calcium Hypochlorite can also be used in place of Lithium Hypo as well, however it does not dissolve as rapidly; pre-dissolving is recommended for vinyl pools.

    Should I Pre-Dissolve Pool Shock?

When using chlorine pool shock in a Vinyl pool, it is recommended to pre-dissolve the granules in a bucket of water before adding to the pool. Plaster, pebble and fiberglass pools can pour or broadcast directly into the pool, using a pool brush afterwards to help distribute the granules. To Pre-Dissolve pool shock, pour 1 or 2 bags into a clean 5-gal bucket that has been 3/4 filled with pool water. Stir for 60-90 seconds until completely dissolved, and then pour along the edge of the pool. If any remaining granules fall into the pool, use a pool brush to help them dissolve.

How Do I Shock My Pool?

    •  1. Clean the pool of debris before shocking a pool
    •  2. Balance the water chemistry and adjust pH to 7.2-7.4
    •  3. Each pound of pool shock will deliver between 7-9 PPM, per 10,000 gallons of pool water
    •  4. Add enough shock to reach a target threshold of 10, 20 or 30 PPM, depending on water condition
    •  5. Brush the pool, and run pool filter for 6-8 hours following shock treatment
    •  6. Keep solar covers safely stored off the pool until high chlorine level subsides
    •  7. Check chemistry levels within 24 hours and adjust as needed, if chlorine is found to be zero, repeat shock treatment

    Pool Shock Treatment Tips

    •  - Always add shock to water, Never add water to pool shock
    •  - Always use the entire bag, Never store half-used bags of shock
    •  - Always distribute the shock around the pool, Never pour into the skimmer
    •  - Always shock a pool with a pH level on the low side, 7.2-7.4, where chlorine is more potent
    •  - Always brush the pool after shocking, with a stiff pool brush, or a stainless steel bristled algae brush
    •  - Always rinse out your shock bags in the pool, and allow them to dry before disposing in the trash
    •  - Always sweep up any shock spills immediately, and pour into the pool. Never mix chlorine types.
