Can't figure out what the double cam is all about.
Pole seems to be like others, except higher price. I don't see any double anything. Probably why no pictures were available of the locking mechanism. I expected something different.

      Good deal
Used the net and brush and are just fine. The vacuum doesn’t have wheels and is difficult to maneuver. However for the price, overall a good deal. Shipping was satisfactorily quick!

      Does it's job
This pole does it's job. It is a little hard to loosen the lock joints after using it for a while. I will try some plastic pipe paste on the threads and see if that helps. we have 2 of these. 1 for the skimmers and 1 for the vac. The vac one has a very slight bend in the last (smallest ) section due to lifting and pushing the vac in the deep end.

      3rd Time Lucky!
Dear Dr. Pool, I have a large in-ground pool with something everyone wants...a pump and filter system that works like a charm and has the suction power of half of Hoover Dam. To vacuum it, I bought my first telescope pole at one of the local pool stores. When I vacuumed the pool, the vacuum head was nearly impossible to push because the suction of the pool system held it in place like a pice of cement. To move it, I had to bend the telescope pole against the side of the pole to lift the vacuum ... read more off the bottom. SNAP! The pole immediately broke in half! I went to another local pool store and bought a new telescope pole and a "premier" vacuum head with larger wheels to lift it off the pool floor a bit more, hoping that would ease the suction up. It was a bit easier to push, but in the deep end, the suction was too much and I again had to bend the pole against the side of the pool to lift the vacuum off the bottom. SNAP TWO! I picked up the phone and ordered "In the Swim's" Professional Telepole. This 3-piece pole extends from 8 to 21 feet and has an extra heavy-duty aluminum frame that doesn't bend or break and makes vacuuming my pool a breeze (not to mention it was $3 cheaper than the second pole I purchased in town!). So it looks like I won't be buying anymore telepoles from In the Swim for a couple of years at least. It's a great product. Thanks!

Good for a season or two
The pole is long enough to easily reach my 9ft deep pool and sturdy enough to handle an almost full leaf rake (not from the very top pole though, it gets a little flimsy), but it just didn't last. I bought this pole maybe two seasons ago TOPS and it is already messed up. I saw reviews saying they couldn't get the locking mechanism unscrewed; this was actually not my problem. The bottom pole came unattached from the locking mechanism. This part is simply glued in and I guess the chlorine ... read more destroyed the glue? I am going to try some heavy duty aerospace epoxy (thanks to my job) to glue it back and hopefully it will work. Oh, and not that it really matters but mine was different colors; blue bottom pole and silver on top two poles. The blue is completely faded now from the chlorine and sun.

      Best Product I've Bought!
This is by far the best item I have bought for my pool yet! We have several tall trees that provide our pool with many uwanted leaves for the 1st month we open pool, during storms, and starting a month or so before it's time to close our pool that would fall to the bottom of the pool and some just float all over. Nothing we have purchased in the past from other sources seemed to do much good. We were skeptical about something that was so simple looking as this would be any better. However, we ... read more were greatly surprised & very pleased with it's performance. I would say that 98% of all leaves that find their way into our pool are quickly directed to the skimmer nowwhich saves us so much time trying to get out with a net & vacuum. I would HIGHLY recommend this item to any pool owner that has the same issues we had with so many nearby trees!

      Works Great, but...
This skimmer arm works great speeding up the skimming of the pool when it has film on top of the water and skimmer has been off or on low. The only problem is the bracket that holds the arm will break easily if you forget to remove it before kids get in the pool. I've bought 3 of these so far. Just can't seem to beat the grandkids to the pool before they break another one!

      Works Great!!
I bought this a month ago after debating all last season about buying it. I wish I would have made the decision to purchase last season. It works amazingly for my 24' round above ground pool. Before I would have to skim my pool by hand for at least a good 15 minutes before getting in but now I hardly have anything to scoop out...the skim it pushes it right into the skimmer. No issues with hooking the hose up for vacuuming the pool either. I just remove the plastic arm. Buy this now you won't regret it!

      Seems to be commercial grade
This pole replaces a 40+ year old pole The only thing I have a concern is why In the swim charges the handling fee In this time of free shipping and other things makes no sense

      Very sturdy, heavy duty!!
I bought this just a few weeks ago and so far am loving it. I've had other "cheap" poles in the past and was tired of them constantly not working. So I purchased this product and I could tell right away that is was a good quality, heavy duty item. So glad to have a pole that when extended doesn't curve/bend under the pressure.

      Best Pole Ever
I have a pool route (50 pools). I have two of these poles. I neeed a pole that wouldn't bend and break. The pole is expensive but you get what you pay for. Well worth the money.

better than some, not as good as others
Pluses - large, abrasion-resistant net. aluminum frame. Negatives - leading edge not tapered so it frequently goes over debris and leaves. When this happens you need 2 passes, one to kick leaf up and then again to snag leaf. I've owned this for a year. The net shows no damage. The plastic aluminum cover/net holder is broken and so the device is now useless. The ad is correct. The aluminum frame does not break but that is irrelevant since the plastic frame cover/net holder oxidizes and breaks ... read more rendering the net useless.

What a great product, a timesaver!
I used to try to clean leaves with my normal rake, but then I purchased a leaf rake. This rake makes it so easy to clean up leaves from the bottom of the pool, and it also works well with floating debris. The pocket is big enough to hold a large quantity of leaves. I remove them first so my pool cleaner doesnt get clogged up. It saves so much time. This fall the cleaning for winterization will go so much faster using this product. I recomment it to all!

      VERY HIGH QUALITY
This is probably the best pool leaf take I have ever had. I used to stay up late wondering when a really good pool leaf rake would be invented, well my wait is over. Not since the scientists of Loa Alamos has a better result been accomplished. WELL DONE SIRS AND MADAMES!

      Gets the small stuff
Great product for eliminating the frustration of seeing the small stuff pass right through the mesh on a typical leaf screen!

      So So Improvement
I had higher hopes for this item. It does indeed trap the small stuff (in my case, gnats), but it's necessary to push it through the water very slowly as the mesh is so tight that it pushes the water and whatever debris you're trying to catch in front of and eventually off to the sides.

More About Leaf Skimmer Nets and Pool Leaf Rakes

Our pool leaf skimmers and pool leaf rakes feature heavy-duty frames and sturdy mesh nets that can be relied upon for pool leaf removal season after season. The nets of our leaf nets and leaf rakes are molded into the rigid yet flexible aluminum frames to prevent tearing and other damage. Our best leaf skimmer nets are made from fine mesh material to provide exceptional skimming by ensuring that even small insects and debris particles are caught in the net for easy removal.

Pool Leaf Rakes or Pool Skimmer Nets? In The Swim offers both types of pool leaf skimmers - a flat and wide dip net, and a wide and deep leaf rake. Our heavy duty skimmer nets are available in several sizes and grades, lightweight and maneuverable for light leaf skimming. Pool leaf rakes are made with a deep bag that can be pushed or pulled across the surface, or walked around the pool as a 'drag bag'. Leaf rake skimmers have a beveled front edge to allow you to scoop leaves from the pool floor, pool steps, or attached spas. Pool leaf rakes are also used to remove leaves from winter pool covers, when you don't use a Leaf Net cover.

In The Swim pool leaf skimmers attach to any telescopic pole to extend their reach and to enhance their convenience. In the Swim's pool leaf rakes are also extra durable and feature heavy-duty construction, and large volume bags to hold huge amounts of wet leaves. All of our pool skim nets and pool leaf rakes provide excellent skimming action, so you can skim leaves from your pool more efficiently and effectively.

While we offer a great selection of leaf rakes and skimmer nets, our pool skimming products also include in-pool skimmer accessories such as the Skim-It skimmer arm, the dip net Skimmer Cover and the Leaf Bone leaf rake clip. Swimming pool leaf skimmer add-ons to reduce the amount of pool skimming needed, for both above ground and in-ground swimming pools.
