Recently purchased a home w/pool that came with many surprises. I'm happy to say the Curve System Steps did NOT add to my frustrations. I read many reviews on these steps... most were not favorable, but I really wanted them,
They are time consuming to assemble when done properly. 1 person/about 4 hours. All pieces of the steps were in the box. All 'locking' pieces fit together without a problem. We used 80 lbs. of sand to be sure we had enough weight. I suggest 3-4 people to aid in getting them
... read more into the pool and secured. We were thrilled when the pool company we hired offered to help us with this part! I'd also purchased a pad for underneath (vinyl liner) to protect the floor and it fit perfectly. The ONLY problem we came across was the very top step. 'Someone' 'had tried to get the step to 'pop' into place using a rubber mallet and cracked the under side of the step where the locking mechanism is. The step is to be placed by lowering the step onto a 'nub' and then sliding the step towards the back to lock. 2 small bungee cords and a couple of small brackets/screws...problem solved. Also we did use the "arms" to secure the stairs to the cement sidewalk.
We've been using them for almost 3 weeks now and have had no problems with the stairs not staying in place. They 'feel' strong and the "tread" on the steps keeps one from slipping. The very last step is a bit high, but you get used to it. Hope to return here to update after the season is done.

Easy to assemble and great valute!
We purchased the single stair step for our in-ground pool and we are delighted with how easy it was to assemble - only needed a mallet to lock the pieces in place. Adding the sand as ballast took the most time because we used heavy playground sand which didn't pass through the funnel and small openings easily. Steps are sturdy and convenient.

Doesn't really work well
I put my stairs into the pool but the bracket the mount to the ground do not work if the top of the pool ledge is not even with the patio. So my stairs float around the pool
It is only been a month since I purchased this ladder to replacement my old ladder. It arrived promptly , and was exactly what I was looking for, it was easy to assemble and install and looks great!

I like the safety factor of having an exit on both sides of pool. Also, kids don't have to swim across pool to exit and return to slides. In my opinion, you can never have too many exits out of the deep end of a pool.

The steel steps were definitely worth the extra couple dollars apart from the plastic steps also available. This whole ladder set up makes it real easy to replace only what is needing replacement thus keeping cost overall very low.
Our hand rail into the pool gets very hot during the summer and the kid's hands slip off. The rail sleeve is wonderful. It zips right on in under a minute. It never gets hot and fits snug so never slides. It gives much more support pulling yourself out of the water. We love it.

This is the third pair of pool handle grips I have purchased, and there isn't another type I would purchase for my pool. The price and quality surpasses all other grips.

I just recently bought this rail grip and I am extremely happy with my purchase! Anyone living in Arizona knows how hot these hand rails can get but no more! It went on so easily and has been a god send! I love it!
Bolts were about a quarter to half inch too short for my steps. Just broke down and went to Lowe's and bought similar for 2 dollars.

Obvious need when replacing steps
Happy that we bought new bolts when we replaced steps on ladder.

Our ladder was the original (about 10 years old) and this year the steps looked a bit shaky. I ordered the replacement steps and bolt kit from In The Swim and the new stairs are great. Took about 10 minutes.
The steps were to replace broken ones that were from a Hayward kit 30 years ago . They do not fit exactly as I would like them to, They were 1/2 inch longer than originals and when I went to put my existing bolts in I ran out of threads before they tighten up. So I fashioned some bushings to put on the bolts so the nuts would tighten up and they work fairly well. The curve to the latter post is a little larger but as long as the bolts stay tight the steps won't twist.

A definite improvement
We replaced old plastic steps (after one broke) with new stainless steel ones. They look better, and I expect them to last much longer. I was particularly pleased with the speed of shipment.
