    Automatic Pool Cleaners

    1. 3 months ago
      Cleans good but disappointed
This is our first robotic pool cleaner. Bought the Aquabot about a month ago. Does a great job cleaning, but gets hung up on the ladder and the underwater light. It climbs the first step, then gets stuck. Would never plug it in and not check on it every 15/20 minutes. For the price, we didn't think we'd have to continually watch it.

      LOVE IT!!
I have owned my aquabot for several years (18x36' inground vinyl liner pool) and NEVER had an issue with it! I often tell people it's the best $800.00 I ever spent! No fighting aboout who is going to vacuum the pool...more time to enjoy! We don't remove the ladders or anything...occasionally some dirt was left @ the main drain in the deep end...then we figured out that the "draw" of water in the main drain was stronger than the aquabot, so we turned off the filter for a little while...problem ... read more solved! Totally clean pool...BUY IT!

      Excellent Pool Cleaner
I have owned my Aquabot for 4 years now, the ease of use is wonderful. After my initial opening cleaning, I never have to vacuum by hand the rest of the year. I have a 20' x 40' pool and it cleans it in about 4 hours. I am always amazed by how much debris it removes, every little particle is removed. I have also noticed that since using the Aquabot my water balance stays extremely stable, I think because it removes all the little particles that you just can't see.

      great automatic pool cleaner
I just installed this cleaner in my pool and within 2 hours it had everything in the bottom picked up. The pool is crystal clear. It will sure save me a lot of time and seems like it will be worth the money. Hope it continues to keep the pool as clean as it is now.

      Parts when you need them.
I own a Polaris 380 and have used intheswim for many years now to purchase replacement parts. I have always gotten the parts very quick and they have always been genuine Polaris and have fit and got my unit back in the water. This is a very good company to work with when you need parts and chemicals in a hurry and at a good price.

      Great Purchase
This products works great! We've had several storms this season with high winds that has knocked tons of leaves and small limbs in our pool. We drop the Polaris in the pool and within a few hours the bottom is free from all debris. I love the fact that we recieved this product within a few days of ordering from In The Swim. And, the fact that Polaris shipped replacement hose nuts and we received them within 2 days. Great service from both In The Swim and Polairs.

NOT an UPgrade from Polaris 280
I had one of these installed when I built my pool in 1999. Struggled with breaking belts and constantly replacing the pressure relief valve on the side of pool for years. Finally decided to buy another 380 to see if maybe if would work better... When I went to pool store I said " I want another 380 " and the owner said " NO, you don't, and reccommended the Polaris 280...gear drive with no belts to break, said they had gone back to reccommending them." I was thrilled, I was familiar with the ... read more older model but had just assummed they weren't made anymore. I've had the Polaris 280 for 2 years now and only wish I had known they were still made years ago.....My sister had a gear drive Polaris for over 20 years and never had a problem....she sold that house so I don't know what the current owner is using of course....

      Cleans Pool Quickly
Have had this for 1 season in an inground vinyl liner pool and it does the job. Cleans walls and inclines with ease. Only problem was we had to buy 2 and return one as first was defective but was not an issue overall. As long as your pool is setup for one it's just a matter of unboxing and being sure you have the correct flow guage attached ( comes with 2 ). The instructions are included to properly choose the correct one. Connect to the dedicated Pool cleaner exhaust port on the pool, besure ... read more the MAIN pump is on, turn on the Polaris pump and your good to go. When done, turn off the Polaris pump and then if needed the main pump. One tip: If your Polaris does a wheelie, rotate the float on the neck so it adheres to the pool bottom. I recommend this as of 1 season of use so far.

      Half way job
This Polaris isn't as good as I thought it would be. It gets hung up on the steps everytime I use it. It doesn't go over the whole pool bottom. It seems to follow it's own path which doesn't cover the whole area. For the price, I thought it do a more thorough cleaning. It also doesn't have the power I've seen other models run with. Maybe I need to adjust something.

      Quietly Working
Like most chemical products, Salt Water Magic seems to work as there are no negative effects to the pool. That being said, with the extremely high evaporation rates this year in the southern US, then need to add fresh water to the pool has also forced me to add bulk pool salt in addition to the Salt Water Magic treatments.

Great product for our salt water pool. Makes the water silky. Delivery was fast. It arrived the next day!

      Excellent Product
First time use was after installation of our new in-ground pool. Supplied to us by the contractor. Our salt-water pool is low maintenance and high usage. Add this product once a month and we are good to go all summer.

At long last, I can swim when I want to
If you have a pool, you need a robotic cleaner. If you are thinking of installing a pool, add in the cost of a cleaner. I researched and read reviews on tons of cleaners out there. I talked to pool store people and friends who have ones. Ended up with this rover, and am so far pleased with the results. Have used it for two weeks now and my water is crystal clear. I have a fine brown silt that builds up in the floor crevices of my 24' above ground round pool. I use this every other day and it is ... read more 95% gone. I don't worry about the remaining 5% since it gets stirred up when we swim and doesn't affect the water quality. It gets sucked up next time I put the rover in. I can now swim when I want to without dealing with hoses, poles and vacuum heads. Not to mention how ugly those are sitting on the ground or deck next to my pool. I keep the rover hidden away in a deck box when not in use. Filter bags are easy to access and clean. You do need to allow the rover a few hours to cover the whole pool. It sometimes goes over the same area a bunch of times, but it seems like the control box systematically changes things up to make the bot eventually move on to another area. Don't sit there and watch it work thinking it will target the dirt. It needs time to cover the whole pool. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I am concerned on how long it will last, based on some other reviews written. If I get 3 years out of it, it is definitely worth 5 stars. At a cost of $300, that would only be $100 per year to never have to vacuum your pool. Good money spent in my opinion. My cord does not tangle like some others have said. I place the control box and extra cord on my deck, and the rover pull in what it needs. Has not tangled yet or gotten hung up on my ladder. Wish I bought one a few years ago when I started looking at them.

      We call him Robbie
I've had my pool rover robot for 3 years now, and I have been totally satisfied with his performance. He does a great job picking up debris, and it's very relaxing to just watch him go back and forth around the pool! My only problem is getting him out of the pool, unless I actually go into the water.

Sweet Machine and no pumps needed
Works great and cleans quickly love the machine. Better than Polaris cleaner

      No insructions
I had no clue how to work it properly. There were two rubber gaskets over the jets which impeded it. I would put it in the pool and it would barely move. I had to figure out on my own that these two gaskets would not open properly. Once I removed them I got both jet and suction action. The bags are kind of heavy and really don't get smaller particles very well but it's awesome on bigger trash like leaves and twigs.

We bought the Aquabot Pool Rover 2 years ago. Two Summers now it worked everyday in the pool and kept it clean. Saved us a lot of work. The only complaint; We didn't get our Free Extra Bag and didn't remember. But we are completely happy with it. Electric cord did not tangle as some have said.

      Perfect
This is perfect for my 27 round above ground pool....The cord does not twist up as bad as my last robot . .would definitely purchase again

      An excellent product
I bought the Kreepy Krauly about a year ago figuring that possibly the product wouldn't be as good as advertised because of the price. Boy, was I wrong. This thing is fantastic. I have a large inground pool and several trees in close proximity to it, so I was constantly spending 2 or 3 hours on a Saturday morning cleaning my pool. Now I just put the Kreepy Krauly in the pool and forget it. It can do it's work while I'm at work, running errands or even overnight while I'm sleeping. There are ... read more virtually no parts to wear out and nothing else needed to keep my pool clean all summer long. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a pool. This thing is GREAT!!!!!!!!!

      Better without the regulator
Love the way this cleans. Works extremely well and hits every part of the pool. The only problem we have experienced was due to the regulator. It would collect too much debris inside which reduced suction and would cause the device to float. It is a simple fix of removing the regulator and sealing the hose to the adapter with tape. Have had no issues since. We have a vinyl liner.

The ONLY pool vac I'll ever buy
When I bought my home with an existing pool 20 years ago, it came with a Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner. After more than 15 years of use, the Kreepy needed to be replaced. I fought with hubby to purchase a new Kreepy, but his heart was set on a robotic cleaner that cost more than twice what a Kreepy cost. I was never happy with the robotic cleaner's performance - it never cleaned as well as my Kreepy. After the robotic's third breakdown in 3 years, I finally convinced hubby to go back to Kreepy ... read more Krauly. We are both tickled at how well this cleaner operates...and the rebate made the deal sweeter!
