This ladder is very sturdy and priced right, word of advice is the hardware is stainless steel and the threads will get screwed up easily. If you tighten down really tight, dont plan on taking it apart cause unless you use anti sieze youll never get it back apart 8 outta 10 times. Use hand screwdriver and not drill driver

Love this ladder, stability and how we can lock when not in use!!!
We bought our current pool last year and it only had a standard ladder. Our autistic daughter, who normally is a fish during the summer, refused to climb the ladder and if we lifted her into the pool, she became hysterical. This year we found the staircase system and enclosure. She loves it and the enclosure gives us peace of mind that she can not get in the pool without us opening it for her.

Love it !
We got a pool last year and it came with a ladder and we hated it. So I started looking around for steps so my elderly Mother-in-law could get into the pool with our family along with all my neices and nephews. We planned on getting just the steps and after 6 weekends of my brother in law not showing up to build it, we took the lumber back and I called and ordered another set of steps and the enclosure kit. Yes, is a little pricey but it is worth every penny. We put it together today and it did

The only issue we had was we built a stone patio outside the pool and the pool and the patio are not the same level which we did have to finangle it a bit to level it up. The unit does have some room for play but if there is more than and inch difference your side rails will not line up correctly. We eventually did get it to work and I am very happy with the product so far. It looks good and it is very easy to walk up into the pool and out. I am so glad I spent the extra money and bought the steps instead of the ladder. You won't be sorry.
This is an inexpensive option for families with small animals. Our Bichon/Poodle was quick to adapt to the ramp. It also provide some peace of mind with our cats. The only drawback so far was adjusting the ropes that secure the ramp. It took a bit of time but they stay put when tied off.

Absolute need for pet owners!
I lost a dog in our pool and have lived in fear until finding the Skamper Ramp. We purchased the large one and have installed and taught our 50 pound dog to use - which she does with ease! I now have peace of mind that I hopefully will never live through that horror again. If you have an inground pool with only ladders - this is a must!
I bought this ladder to replace one that has lasted over 8 years. I feel
Like I'll be lucky to get two out of this one. The plastic is much l
Thinner and the base you stand on as you get out of pool is really flimsy. The price was decent but the quality feels lacking. We shall see.

Easy to put together and install
This ladder took less than 1/2 hour to put together and was easy to install once you filled the ladder with water.

strong and sturdy. Water storage in the ladder is
We fought with the old "sand bag" latter for years. No matter how you sealed the sand bags, leakage would occur. That problem is now solved. This sturdy latter was easy to assembled (when you read and follow instructions). As soon as we started filling the ladder, it slowly when down to it's place in the pool. NO MORE SAND! I used longer screw for the Section you secured to the deck. also, use washers so the screw head doesn't go through. That is my only recommendation. I really like this

I highly recommend the Curve Step System for anyone that has an above ground pool. They are very well built and the assembly instructions were easy to follow and was as close to trouble free as anything we have ever tried to assemble before.
Our above ground pool is buried approximately 3 ft. in the ground, and this step system makes it effortless to get in and out of the pool.
We are extremely happy with the look of the steps and have received numerous compliments on them!
My husband & I are

Could not be happier with this purchase! The system came in two boxes and once unpacked, took me about 2 hours to fully assemble by myself including the time to fill the base with sand. The steps went together easily and dropped into the pool easily. I have a deck, so sinking them was easy, however, if you have to lift them in, I would highly recommend two or three people to help. While they were heavy going into the pool, they are solid and do not move once filled with water and set. They

Great for dogs! And even people.
Sturdy, well made, easy to assemble, stay in place well, my labs use them with ease, i used (4) separate homemade 40# pvc and concrete weights to hold them down instead of sand, drilled a few extra holes in bottoms of pieces to let water and air in and out when placing and removing them from pool. I'm a 40 year old guy in pretty good shape but no Hercules, and I am able to get them both in and out of the pool myself (slowly and gradually to let water in when installing and out when removing),

We actually had this exact ladder in the pool when we bought the house over 10 years ago. It was doing fine until we broke it winter storing it. We bought the exact same ladder. For the price and durability very good ladder. The only negative thing is that when you get any algae growing it will grow in the openenings in the back and can be difficult to clean out. So don't let algae grow :-)

A great purchase
After we put a large deck around our pool we wanted a ladder that would work for us. We found it in this product. We had no problems installing it, really it was easy, we did purchase the metal flanges. The ladder is very sturdy and we have had no problems with it moving. This was definitely a great purchase

LUV MY IN GROUND LADDER
In response to icegator's review:
"This is a solid ladder and is lightweight. Make sure you cut your hole through your deck on the small side. This will keep the ladder from raising up and moving."
You don't need to cut your holes on the small side in your deck in order to keep it from sliding up and down. Once you have the flanges screwed down onto the deck and you insert the aluminum handles, you simply predrill a hole right through the neck of the plastic flange and into

This keeps the handle from sliding up and down through the deck holes. Remember to do it for both handles and as an extra measure, I also did it to the handles that insert into the ladder neck. Also they tell you to add some weight to the bottom step, I placed clean stones tied inside canvas bags and stuffed them into the little compartments on the backside of the bottom step, works great! Gives it a nice solid feel!
