This is a really expensive ladder, but worth every penny, We paid an extra $200 for the Harrows pool company one and it still sucked. It was unstable, required sand to hold it in the pool. The Confer ladder was so much better. Easy to assemble (but it took some time), a little heavy to get into the pool, but using water to add weight was so much simplier. Big hit with my 63 year old wife!

We just brought this double stair system because we have an elderly person with limited mobility. These steps work amazingly well for him and also for our overweight friends and family. Extremely easy to assemble. Most of it snaps together. Assembled and in the pool in about two hours. Couldn't say enough about this product.

I built them in one day. I needed a friend to help lift the one half into the pool.
They were a little heavy to adjust the height once I got them in the pool. There was a learning curve about getting them good and level, so that the two staircases can be attached with good stability.
The "non-entrapment step facing" and "the skids" on the bottom of both sides should be installed outside of the pool, and secured with a little tape until you have the steps installed well.
Once the stairs are in

Mom/Granny went swimming today and did great. She was fully in control all the way into the pool and all the way out to the sidewalk.
Took about an hour to put together with a rubber mallet. Make sure you get nice dry sand to fill it with. Mine was kind of moist and was getting stuck and not falling to the bottom. I ended up putting them in the pool and they floated. So make sure you really shake the sand down. They look great in my 24ft round.

Good product, not a great description
The steps are sturdy and look great. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. It does not snap together without tools. Our steps took 3 people about an hour to assemble, they need 40 lb of sand, a rubber mallet, a cordless drill, and a phillips head screwdriver. They are supposed to be removed for the winter, I don't know how we'll manage that. The assembled steps filled with sand and water are very heavy.
We fought with the old "sand bag" latter for years. No matter how you sealed the sand bags, leakage would occur. That problem is now solved. This sturdy latter was easy to assembled (when you read and follow instructions). As soon as we started filling the ladder, it slowly when down to it's place in the pool. NO MORE SAND! I used longer screw for the Section you secured to the deck. also, use washers so the screw head doesn't go through. That is my only recommendation. I really like this

Easily installed and easy to use. Ladder takes up very little space in the pool, although not recommended if you are experiencing any handicap in the legs or the arms. Use really need both for the use of the ladder.
