    Above-Ground Steps & Ladders

    1. 3 weeks ago
Bought this ladder 2 weeks ago. Best ladder we have had in 17 years of owning a pool!

      Works great
So far so good. Ladder has plenty of adjustment space to clean the pools top rail and mount to the deck.

      Love the design
My 10 year old grandson put it together for us and it looks great in our pool. Better quality steps than the old one.

As good having an inground pool!
I love these stairs. They were really easy to put together. They stay in place well. They look great! Easy to see at night. The reason we purchased these stairs is so my puppy could walk into and out of the pool without assistance, they work great for this. He swims up to the top stair then climbs out on his own. My deck goes up to my pool edge. With the stairs in place it makes the pool look like an inground pool. We secured the stairs to the deck for safety. I wouldnt have an above ground pool without them.

      Our best pool investment!
Our old ladder steps were falling apart last year so we needed a new set. With grandparents watching our young son a few days a week, we thought these stairs would make getting in and out of the pool much easier. These pool steps were not a disappointment! Grandmas can now get in and out without a problem, and our son can sit safely on the steps and play. They require some time to assemble and fill with sand. They also require some extra help to get in and out of the pool. Otherwise, they are a ... read more great addition to an above gound pool

      Love These Steps
Over all these stairs are a marked improvement over a ladder. As I've read in other reviews the railings or handles are a little flimsy, but you really don't need to pull hard on them if you are able to walk up and down stairs normally. The manufacturer states to put 40 lbs. of sand in the stairs before putting them in your pool. My husband and I did not do this because we knew we would never be able to get them back out again on our own. Instead we let them fill with water as we put them in the ... read more water, then I got 40 lbs. of plastic coated weights and tied them to the sides of the stairs with marine rope. Worked great all summer! We just now untied the weights and pulled the stairs out to close the pool for the season. Very easy! Thanks for a great product!

      Sturdy
Overall I am pleased. It was challenging to assemble but if you read everything properly it does help. You need gravel to put in one side for ballast. Drill extra holes to fill with water faster. Be prepared to drill into your pool rail for added stability. Frankly, it is almost as sketchy as other models but once secured to the rail, it is pretty solid. I choose to NOT assemble the gate and it is just fine as I have a fence around my pool.

      5 stars!!
I have an Intex 52" above ground pool... and i wasn't sure if was going to be fair at best but i am so impressed with the quality for the price. Some of my family are large people and the ladder is spectacular. ....Worth every penny!!....also shipped very fast...

      Easily assembled very solid
so far this system is great it is solid and easily assembled the only downside was with some of the hardware very small and not very secure in holding the top step in place they have fallen out twice we are trying to find something more secure in holding the top step on otherwise it is a great secure ladder

Deck flanges are a seperate item!!
Be sure to order your deck flanges along with this item. Holes in plastic steps may need trimmed for the pipe to slide through easily. Overall looks like a good product. In The Swim shipping our deck flanges in a couple days. Will update review when they arrive.

      Affordable and fast shipping
Box was damaged when it arrived but ladder was fine. Easy to put together and install. Make sure to buy the flanges in addition to the ladder. Best price I found and received it less than a week after ordering.

      Good quality
Bought this specifically so I could cut off a few inches from the back of the "U" to accommodate a taller height from the bottom of my pool to the surface of the deck I built over the top of it - worked like a charm. A little difficult to put together because the holes on the steps didn't quite line up with the holes in the rails, but it was nothing a little persistence couldn't fix. Overall a big improvement in quality over the ladder that came with the pool when I bought it.

      Excellent product
We bought this ladder and am very satisfied with the product. It is more stable than the original ladder we got with our pool.

      Sturdy easy to assemble
The ladder does not float like other ladders I had before this one. It sank once it was filled with water.

We bought this just a couple weeks ago. The set up part had its issues. We couldn't figure out where all the screws they sent us went. We found several of them to be too short in several places. Luckily I keep a jar of extras we could pull from. The ladder itself is very sturdy once put together. We really appreciate the roll down part to help deter unwanted swimmers. It slides up and down fairly easily. Would I buy this again? Yes probably. Would I recommend a better instruction sheet ... read more be created to show where the short screws are supposed to fit? Yes I would.

      Best ladder ever
I never take the time to write reviews, but I had to pay it forward with this product. I bought this ladder to replace the flimsy one that came with my 48 in. Bestway (like an Intex) pool with metal support poles. I debated whether to pay over $100 for a ladder for a pool that only cost $300, but it is worth every penny. This ladder has a heavy-duty platform at the top so I no longer have to climb from the top step of the ladder that came with the pool, over the top edge of the pool, while ... read more trying to balance on 1 foot, while 4 feet off the ground, not easy for someone afraid of heights. We have a lot of foot traffic in and out of the pool, and this ladder is very secure once you fill it with water and zip tie it to the edge of the pool, as other reviewers suggested. Without the zip ties, it does float out of place. With the old ladder, I used to worry constantly that someone would fall off and crack their head open on the stone patio, but no more! The ladder does move a little when the kids are making a whirlpool, but it is easy to shift it back into place, and it doesn't wobble at all even when my 240 lb., 6' 3" husband scrambles up it. The steps are grooved so that your feet don't slip, and the handles at the top are great for turning around at the top. We didn't need any lube to put the parts together. If you're using it for a 48" pool, don't forget to leave off the extensions on the uprights. It tells you that in the instructions, but my husband neglected to read that part, and we had to bang them off so that the ladder wasn't too high. Yes, the ladder cost 1/2 the price of the pool, but we intend to keep the pool for years to come, so it was worth the investment for the peace of mind. Much cheaper than the ones I saw at a pool store. Also, it arrived within 2 days, even though delivery confirmation said over a week. The lock is useless for the ladder, as it is not long enough to fit through both holes, so it doesn't make sense that it is included, so plan on getting lock if you need one.

      Easy to use!
I bought this about a month ago. It works great! Wish I would of had it last summer. The steps are easy for me to put down and put up. Last year I could not tell if ladder was in or out of pool without walking to the pool. Now it only takes a glance to see if ladder is up when the grandkids come over. We opted not to attach it to the pool, instead we order the outside stabilizer. The wide steps are also a plus.

      Nice ladder
But you had better be strong and handy to get it together. Never seen instructions that included a rubber mallet in every photo. You definitely need the tools they say and soapy water. We had one tread that didn't fit in the hole and we struggled for 20 minutes paring it down until we could beat it into the hole. Water doesn't really make it that heavy. We put sand bags on the bottom rung. Ok for the price I guess.

      these are fantastic
These worked perfectly. ...no guess work on measurements and can be worry free for another 20 years....brass will not corrode away like previous pot metal and will be last time i have to cut out concrete to replace...i wish i had these on original pool installation

      Solid product
I bought this a couple weeks ago to set with the new concrete. Worked great and shipping was super fast

Great for backyard w/o a fence
We bought our current pool last year and it only had a standard ladder. Our autistic daughter, who normally is a fish during the summer, refused to climb the ladder and if we lifted her into the pool, she became hysterical. This year we found the staircase system and enclosure. She loves it and the enclosure gives us peace of mind that she can not get in the pool without us opening it for her.
    2. 1 year ago
Steps were easy to assemble. Instructions were well thought out. Connecting kit posed a bit more problem. Enclosed instructions were vague at best. We finally figured it out but it took up a whole Saturday(at least 8 hours). But we are generally pleased with the finished product.

      Love it !
We got a pool last year and it came with a ladder and we hated it. So I started looking around for steps so my elderly Mother-in-law could get into the pool with our family along with all my neices and nephews. We planned on getting just the steps and after 6 weekends of my brother in law not showing up to build it, we took the lumber back and I called and ordered another set of steps and the enclosure kit. Yes, is a little pricey but it is worth every penny. We put it together today and it did ... read more take about 4 hrs to assemble the whole unit.(2 people) You have to put together both set of steps and the the enclosure kit and the gate. It is alittle time consuming. The only issue we had was we built a stone patio outside the pool and the pool and the patio are not the same level which we did have to finangle it a bit to level it up. The unit does have some room for play but if there is more than and inch difference your side rails will not line up correctly. We eventually did get it to work and I am very happy with the product so far. It looks good and it is very easy to walk up into the pool and out. I am so glad I spent the extra money and bought the steps instead of the ladder. You won't be sorry.
