I used these 1 winter. I used 24 of these on a 24 ft above ground pool. Closed the pool in September. By yearend 2 blocks had blown into the pool by high winds dumping all the leaves with them. Eventually several more blocks fell in. I had to drain the pool in the spring to get everything out.

Second purchase
This is our second purchase. We ordered some last year and didn't have enough to go completely around the pool. This year we will have enough so no more leaky water bags that I seem to get a "bath" filling each year.

The lids popped open
This is by far one of the worst products that I have purchased from In the Swim. I put the aqua blocks around the pool cover and filled and covered each one by one. The lids kept popping off and water spilling out during the course of late fall. The winter cover kept slipping into the pool and in the spring two of the aqua blocks were in the pool. I will go back to using the water tubes. If you get holes in them you can patch with duct tape and will work for at least another year.

Best time saver yet
After 2 off-seasons with water bags, I just got enough of the aqua blocks to cover about 3/4 of the perimeter, thinking I could use the remaining bags that had not already broken for the rest. I loved the 3 sides that got aqua blocks, and cursed the entire time on the side with the bags because it took twice as long as the other 3 sides combined, and got me all wet! I have already replaced 2 bags due to leakage in the last 2 months. Next year, it is all blocks, all the way. Any money spent on the blocks will be made up in time savings with your first install and spring takedown - definitely a must purchase for people like me who HATE pool maintenance!
