After getting the direction controls setup correctly (my first attempt with the turn-control locking pin made the Pool Rover Jr. turn the wrong direction) the unit cruised our 15' by 30' above-ground-pool like a pro. The unit cleaned the entire pool in about an hour, turning around the oval ends and reversing as if it 'knew' the pool shape and the location of our pool steps.
The best part was its cleaning ability. After adding the vacuum inlet port extensions, the Pool Rover Jr. picked up even finer particles during the next half-hour (our area is horse country with occasional dust); also the unit did pick up green algae particles. Cleaning the filter bag, which took four rinses to clear the rinse water, convinced me this is the automatic pool cleaner for a flat-bottomed, oval vinyl pool. My pool never looked so clear.

love this thing!
We recently purchased this little wonder and are totally impressed by it! Wonderful cleaning done to the entire pool. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with an above ground pool. Ours is 24 x 24 round, it covered the whole pool in less than 2 hours time. I couldn't believe all the stuff it had picked up when I took the bag out to clean. Stuff I couldn't even see before I put it in the pool. Cleaning of the bag is kind of a pain; but well worth it. If it ever goes bad, I will definitely buy another one!!

this cleaner worked better than I expected. my pool was sparkling clean all summer with very little effort. highly recommended.

Wish I hadn't waited so long to Get It!
I should have never waited so long to buy this baby. It took a bad winter that tore up our cover, put a hole in our pool liner, and absolute yuck at the bottom of our pool. We've always had a crystal clear opening in years past. It got worse as we finally dragged what was left of our winter cover off. With my regular pool hose vacuum, it would kill my filter and have me stopping the pump frequently to clean it. It was time to buy a new filter cartridge, and I'll be darned if I was going to ruin it cleaning out this gunk. I ordered this product and absolutely love it! Many people claim an issue with pulling it out of the pool. I use my easy reach clamp tool, grab one of the wheels, and yank that baby up. I'm not young, and it takes an extra umph until the water drains out...but the more I move, the longer I will last. If it ever breaks...I'll buy another one. Thank you!
