The Polaris 65 pool cleaner is a pressure-side cleaner designed specifically for use in above ground pools. This powerful pool vacuum will sweep and clean the sides and floor of above ground swimming pools and takes just minutes to install. The Polaris 65 automatic pool cleaner features a patented jet sweep assembly which will loosen and remove dirt and debris even from hard-to-reach places.

By removing debris such as dirt and leaves before they can reach the pool's filter, Polaris 65 above ground pool cleaners prevent filters from clogging. This not only reduces filter cleaning by up to 80%, it also extends the overall filter lifespan. Troubleshooting

Polaris does not clean the entire pool or runs slowly.

– Verify that the pressure relief valve is releasing water. If it is not, clean or backwash the pool filter.
– Check the filter screen in the quick disconnect and clean if necessary.
– Verify that the float hose is the proper length.
– Remove the surface module top. With the Polaris operating, verify that the randomizer tube is moving back and forth. If it is not moving: Turn off pump, disconnect hoses, look into the mechanism and locate the filter connector inside the randomizer tube. If it is covered with debris or algae, remove the connector chamber, cylinder, and piston. Pull out the randomizer tube and clean the filter connector. If the connector is clean, replace the piston. If it is moving: Watch the randomizer ball in the mechanism. If it does not move within 2 minutes, replace the randomizer tube and piston.
– Verify that the water pressure is between 5 and 10 psi.

Surface module dives under the water or leans to one side.
– Straighten twisted hoses.
– Lift surface module out of the water, empty it and then shake it. If water is still heard inside, remove the top, pull out the drain plug assembly and drain the module.B – Adjust the pressure relief valve until the surface module levels off.
– Verify that the water pressure is between 5 and 10 psi.

The float hose remains coiled.
– See “Polaris does not clean entire pool."
– Lay the float hose out straight in the sun to remove the coils.

Surface module moves too fast.
– Adjust the pressure relief valve until the surface module slows down.
– Verify that the water pressure is between 5 and 10 psi.

Bag does not stay on the pool floor.
– Verify that the bag has been installed correctly.
– Check for air bubbles around the jet body assembly. This may indicate air in the plumbing lines.

polaris 65 durability Expensive when you consider how long it lasts. The internal mechanism stops working properly so the cleaner won't makei t around he pool, stays in one area of pool. Buy the 2 tear no questions asked warranty and 1 year and 10 months from now tell them it broke because if it hasn't, it propably will. Al least you'll get 2 + 2seasons for your $200 + $20. not worth it i've bought 2 of these polaris 65's over a 3 year period, they just quit working, will only go in one direction. also the hose on the bottom doesn't last as long as the top hose. over all i don't think it's worth what they cost. May 13, 2011

1st one great, 2nd one not worth it I purchased this product about 6 years ago and it worked great - 5 stars! I would leave it hooked up all week with no problems and pool maintenance was minimal. The hose from the unit to the debris bag finally gave out and is not offered as a separate item so I purchased a new unit. After 4 months, the hose on the new unit has started to disconnect from the unit causing the unit to stop moving around the pool and preventing the return of filtered/chlorinated pool water from properly circulating and requiring a lot more pool maintenance. I give the new unit 1 star rating. Overall 3 star rating as a combination of the two. August 9, 2009

Polaris 65 I purchased my first Polaris 65 several years ago. I would not have had to purchase another one, but I needed to replace all the hoses, etc. I thought for the price, I would just buy a complete new one. However, I found the new one does not work as well as my old one. I actually am using my old cleaner with the new hoses and it's working perfectly. I wish I would have purchased just what I needed, but you live and learn. Anyway, the old blue and yellow 65 is the best. July 27, 2009
