Bromine Start-up Kit for Spas & Hot Tubs
The Bromine Start-up Kit for Spas & Hot Tubs is perfect for opening and refilling your spa. The kit includes a collection of our most in demand Bromine-based Spa chemicals: 1" Bromine Tabs, Non-Chlorine Spa Shock, Metal Out, pH Increaser, pH Reducer, and 4 Way Bromine Test Strips.
Spa Start-up Kit Components:
- 1" Bromine Tabs (3.5 lbs)
Bromine is a powerful and effective sanitizer like chlorine, but it is much less irritating to your skin and eyes, produces no chlorine odor and makes your pool or spa water silky smooth. It is a "pre-stabilized" chemical, so it does not require the use of stabilizers, which saves you money and enhances your pool enjoyment.
Bromine's unique feature is that the "dead" or "used" bromine cells that normally get filtered or splashed out of the water can be re-used as long as new bromine is being introduced into the water and reusing these cells saves you money in the long run!
- Spa Care Non-Chlorine Spa Shock (2.2 lbs)
Powerful non-chlorine shock is long-lasting and dissolves completely and should be used weekly to oxidize organic contaminants, reduce chlorine odor and increase water clarity.
Dosage: 2 oz. (1/4 cup) per 500 gallons weekly, or more often for heavy bather loads.
- Metal Out (16 oz)
Helps eliminate iron and other metallic stains that can occur in spas, and effectively disperses precipitated metals and other staining agents into your spa water.
Metal Out can also be used to gradually remove an existing stain!
Dosage: 16 oz. per 500 gallons (maintenance) or 32 oz. per 500 gallons (stain-removal).
- Liquid pH Increaser (32 oz)
A special liquid formula mixes quickly and is easier to use than powdered products. The key to proper spa chemistry is pH. When the pH drops below 7.2, just add Liquid pH increaser. Low pH leads to acidic water conditions that can cause eye irritation, chlorine odor and corrosion.
Dosage: 4 oz. per 500 gallons.
- Liquid pH Reducer (32 oz)
When the pH level in your spa is above 7.6, just add Liquid pH Reducer to decrease the level. Proper pH levels are critical to maintaining proper water chemistry. Our special liquid formula mixes quickly and is easier to use than powdered products.
Dosage: 2-4 oz. per 500 gallons.
