Good product with downfalls
Good product, but my filter does not work good with it. A lot more work. I only had to clean my filter every 2 months with chlorine

ABSOLUTELY Love This System!
We absolutely love these products. We actually have some left over from last year, as we did not need near as much as we were told by a pool company. A little goes a LONG way. Well worth the initial cost!

Tips for new users of Biguanide
Here are some tips from a long time user.
1) Replace your sand in your filter every year. Just go to a sand and gravel place and get your sand. It actually works better than the bagged stuff as it has various sizes of sand, a few rocks and a little dust.
2) Check your water for hardness. I always use some calcium to soften up the water before adding my baquacil or splashes.
3) If you are having problems with cloudiness it probably means that your water is hard or your ph is off. Use the shock after taking care of those items. (see 2) above)
4) Flocculant is real helpful in getting the small stuff down to be sucked up by the vacuum. Put some in your filter intake.
5) The extra money you pay for splashes saves a lot of time since chlorine takes a lot of daily care to make sure everything is balanced.
6) This product prolongs the life of your vinyl and metal parts of your pool. We have had our pool up for at least 12 years and have no rust.
7) If your eyes are hurting or lungs it is my guess that it isn't Splashes (biguanide) that is causing the problem. My guess is that your PH is way off or you are using way too much of the product.
8) I only add when it is obvious that I need it. First shock, then later add sanitizer.
9) I add algaecide when the green stuff starts to grow, not before.

No Green Hair
We find these products reasonably priced compared to other non-chlorine products. We find ourselves using more shock than we anticipated but the pool is clear and sparkling even with a lot of use.
