What is the wattage on this light?
– 50 watts

Does this light have a timer?
– Yes, after 3 hours the light will shut off.

Does this light come with colored lens?
– No, unfortunately, it does not come with them.

How does the light install?
– The top of the light clips over the wall and bottom is anchored onto the return line.

Can I use this for an in-ground pool?
– No, this is for an above ground pool only. Hangs over the pool wall.

How many volts is the light?
– 12 volts (transformer)

Do I have to drop the water line to install the light?
– No, you don’t to drop the water liner for installation.

Troubleshooting:

Problems with the unit turning on:

– If the unit will not turn on/light up make sure that the transformer is plugged securely into the outlet. It is recommended to have the Nitelighters transformer plugged into a GFCI. If the GFCI has popped you will need to reset the GFCI to regain power to the unit.

– If the unit has been previously used the bulb may be bad. The bulb is rated for approximately 2000 hours. The replacement bulb is our item number E1707.

Good light, but...,

Pros: creates a nice glow throughout the pool

Cons: No switch (35w), too thick for gap between rail and wall

"I got the 35w light since I wanted a nice warm glow rather than a bright spotlight effect. The 35w accomplishes this quite well in my 27' round pool. The light does NOT have a switch (From the manual -> "Plug light into GFI protected socket when light is needed in pool. To turn off unplug", but I compensated for that by using an outdoor timer, and removing all the pins but one 'off' pin at midnight just in case it's left on by mistake. One other problem is that it is too thick. If you have less than an inch between the wall top and the rail, it won't fit. I have mine in, but the rail is bowed. I haven't decided if I will keep it, and attempt to modify or exchange it for one that fits into the return jet."

Pros: easy to install

"I bought this about a month ago because my kids have been wanting to swim after dark, but were scared. I have an oval pool (16 x 32) and it offers plenty of lighting to swim in our otherwise dark backyard. Hopefully, it will continue to work without problems!"

"I am a new pool owner learning the ways of the water. I enjoy nice hot summer nights and wanted to swim during these times as well. This product does a fantastic job of lighting my pool. EASY to install! Seems durable although that remains to be seen. At the current clearance price I consider this an absolute steal!!! If you thought about getting a light but were put off by local pool stores trying to sell you a $200 in wall model...don't hesitate. BUY THIS ONE and save the hassles. I had it installed 3 minutes after opening the package. EXCELLENT BARGAIN!"
