Wonderful product
The Pool Sentry automatic water leveler is a great item to use in the pool industry, The only thing about it that i would change is the tubing from the water hose to the to the water outlet, I beleive it should be made out of either stronger plastic or metal. and if possible make it so once it is set it could be made tamper proof. Other than that it is a great idea in concept, design, and use. Thank You

Great customer service
The first unit I received leaked at both the connection and at the back end of the connector. I called Customer Service and they emailed me a return FedEx label. I shipped it back, at no cost to me, and received a replacement within a few days. The customer service at this company is the best.
To get a better connection I bought a "quick disconnect" and pair of connectors from Home Depot. The quick disconnect unit had a plastic male unit that fits snugly into the hose connector of the unit. I attached the connector to the hose and then into the quick disconnect. Now I have a nice tight seal and its easy to disconnect when I don't need to use the unit.
It works great and I don't have to worry about my pump burning out due to low water while I'm away.

Worst purchase ever
This is pure junk. I bought this because it looked to be better made than the previous product sold here, which I also own. The previous product worked great. Had actual metal parts and kept the water filled to the correct level. However, it's case was cheaply made. The shield on the front of it that kept waves from wind from disturbing the float broke off after a few seasons.
This one, from the pictures, seemed to be better constructed. Wrong. It has no metal parts for the hose connection like the old one. The way the float adjuster is routed through the top, it becomes either stuck or it gets lodged underneath causing it to not shut off.
While on vacation for a week, came home to my skimmer dry. The only reason I didn't lose my pump is because it was sucking off the bottom of the pool and getting just enough water to keep the pump cool, although it had no pressure. Today I woke to my pool almost overflowing because it never shut off.
I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy. I am somehow going to fix the wave shield on my old model and go back to that one. It won't be pretty, but at least I won't have to worry about replacing a $300+ pump.

Don't waste your money
The quality is poor and it does not even come with stones for ballast. You have to find your own. The hose connection leaks no matter what you do. You can’t really tighten it as it is plastic. My previous one had a brass fitting and it never leaked. Don’t waste your money.
