Fun at all ages
All though I agree that the gun performance is weak, we had hours of fun with the float. From 5-50 years of age we had a blast trying to stay afloat at our last family reunion. Lots of bang for the buck compared to more expensive pool toys!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
The process for inserting the squirt gun is very time consuming and the squirt gun comes out every time the shark is tipped over, everytime you fall off the shark, etc. We tried various methods to tie the squirt gun to the shark (clear fishing line) but the very poor design of the squirt gun still creates the same problem with it coming out all the time. We just ended up using them as float toys and the kids used the squirt guns while in the water and squirted each other that way. Don't waste your money.

Good Product
We recently moved into a house that had a laser shark. My teenage brother and his friends love the laser shark for the simple fact that they can sit on it and float around the pool. My 5 year old nephew loves it for the same reason. Everyone wants to play with it.

So-so; maybe fun for kids 4-6 years old
I got this for my son who is almost 8 years old. I was hoping it would be fun for him to be on the jet ski and squirt back at others who have a super-soaker-type water gun. Well, the squirter on the jet ski is very weak, and can easily be pulled out of the unit, thus not fun. It is difficult to reinstall the squirter and its long water hose once its been pulled out. Maybe younger kids would find this more fun.
