Pros:
Read temp and thats bout it. I don't have anymore pros

Don't last, string deteriorted in less than 2 mos.

It did read the temp for the first 2 months we had it, but quickly fell apart, the string deteriated, thermo came unglued from frame, turned ugly orange color all within the first 2 months or less and it was not abused.
"

Initially nice looking chrome plated thermometer that is sleek and modern

After 3 weeks this turned from "chrome" to an ugly brown-orange plastic. I didn't necessarily expect actual chrome, but

After 3 weeks this turned from "chrome" to an ugly brown-orange plastic. I didn't necessarily expect actual chrome, but something that wouldn't dissolve in pool water.
Also, like all thermometers, the rope just snapped off about the same time.

"
I got my first thermometer, which didn't work from day one. It registered 100 degrees, and never changed even in 80 degree water. I got a replacement, which was worse than the first. It was visibly damaged, and leaking. I don't want to try for a third time. Save your money.

This is the first thermometer that has laster longer than a couple of weeks in our pool! Easy to read, stays in the water (as opposed to floating on top)!
