Pressure Relief Valve
A pressure relief valve (PRV) is recommended in all installations, and is mandatory in any installation in which the water flow can be shut off between the heater outlet and the pool/spa.
It is recommended that a pressure relief valve be installed and may even be required by local codes. Be sure to check any applicable installation codes in your area to determine whether a pressure relief valve is required.
Optional Pump Relay Connection
(Maintain Temp Feature)
The optional Pump Relay feature allows the heater to turn on the pool pump, bypassing the time clock setting, to maintain the desired temperature. In order for the MAINTAIN TEMP feature to be functional, a relay must be installed and a dedicated line from the pool pump time clock to the Maintain Temp (Pump) Relay is needed.
